Job Description

• Administration & Systems Management

Managing supplies, equipment, and maintaining filing systems, records, and CRM database. Engage with and support running The Circle’s current operational systems, including Beacon CRM, Quickbooks, 1Password, Breathe HR, Microsoft 365 (including Microsoft Teams & SharePoint), FreshPay, Stripe, PayPal, Mailchimp, Wordpress, etc. Continue to develop and update systems.

• HR & Volunteer Support

Assisting with staff onboarding/offboarding, managing recruitment; Lead on health & safety, including having staff undertake regular risk assessments for home working and electronic device safety; ·

Independent Members will be appointed for an initial period up to 31 March 2029 with the potential for this to be extended for a further three years.

Successful candidates will receive an annual allowance of £1500 and will be expected to attend three Committee meetings per year. Meetings are usually held in person at MRWA’s office at No 1 Mann Island but may occasionally be held vie Teams.

Candidates will also need to be able to commit sufficient time to read Committee papers in advance of these meetings and to undertake occasional training alongside the other Committee members.

• Are currently a Member, Co-opted Member, or an employee or a consultant to MRWA in any capacity, or have been an employee or Elected Member in the last five years;

This is a pivotal role within our fundraising team. You will be the person who makes sure our systems work, our income is correctly recorded and reconciled, and our data is handled with care and integrity.

Key Responsibilities

CRM & Data Management

• Own and manage HorseWorld’s CRM system, ensuring data accuracy, integrity and usability
• Act as system administrator and lead on any future development or upgrades
• Produce reports and insights to support fundraising performance and decision-making

Data Protection & Compliance

• Work with the CEO to ensure compliance with GDPR and relevant fundraising regulations

We’re looking for an exceptional Legacy Administration Team Leader to play a critical role in safeguarding and maximising one of Marie Curie’s most significant income streams. This is a senior operational role suited to someone with large-charity experience, a strong commercial mindset, and the confidence to manage a high-volume, high-value caseload in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll oversee a team of three Legacy Officers, providing expert guidance, coaching and performance management while maintaining accountability for a portfolio of around 900 active cases. Alongside this, you’ll personally manage approximately 50 complex and contentious matters, including litigation-related cases, ensuring Marie Curie’s interests are protected through robust decision-making, cost-benefit analysis and close collaboration with our legal team.

What You’ll Do

• Lead, support and develop three Legacy Officers, ensuring high performance, quality assurance and clear progression pathways.
• Hold oversight and accountability for 900+ legacy cases, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely administration.
• Manage a personal caseload of 50 complex and contentious matters, including litigation, disputes and reputationally sensitive issues.
• Work closely with the legal team, executors, solicitors and co-beneficiaries to protect Marie Curie’s entitlement.
• Apply strong commercial judgement, undertaking cost-benefit analysis and making informed decisions on behalf of the charity.
• Monitor KPIs, SLAs and quality standards, ensuring consistent excellence across the team.
• Provide expert technical guidance on wills, probate, tax, trusts and multi-jurisdictional UK estate administration.
• Support process improvement, systems optimisation and operational best practice.
• Deputise for the Legacy Administration Manager when required.

Skills & Experience Needed

• Proven line management experience, including performance management, coaching and developing staff.
• Significant experience in a large charity legacy administration team, ideally handling income of £20m+ annually.
• Demonstrable experience managing contentious and complex legacy cases, including litigation and dispute resolution.
• Advanced technical knowledge of wills, probate, trusts, tax and estate administration across multiple UK jurisdictions.
• Strong commercial mindset, able to assess risk, analyse costs and make confident, informed decisions.
• High-volume caseload management experience, with exceptional organisational skills and the ability to prioritise under pressure.
• Excellent stakeholder management, able to influence solicitors, executors, co-beneficiaries and internal teams.
• Exceptional attention to detail, especially when reviewing legal documentation, estate accounts and financial information.

Stand-by-me Bereavement Support (SBM) is an award-winning charity based in Hitchin, Hertfordshire. We support children and young people who have suffered bereavement through therapeutic group work, support for parents and carers and ‘Contact-me’, our school framework for supporting bereaved pupils. 

Role Overview 

The Bereavement Support Manager oversees the Contact-me programme. They introduce, train and help implement the programme within the school setting, ensuring the delivery of high-quality support services for pupils affected by bereavement.

They partner with the Clinical Services Manager to deliver SBM’s therapeutic groupwork programme, supporting assessments and leading the Parents/Carer sessions that run alongside.

Contact-me 

• Oversee the Contact-me programme, ensuring it meets the needs of bereaved children, their families, school and healthcare professionals.

Job Purpose: 

1. Volunteer Assessment and Support - To assess, train, and support volunteers prior to and throughout the placement of a dog or puppy in training. Specific Duties:

1. Home assessments for volunteers

• Provide feedback and recommendations for home preparation.
• Conduct pet dog/child assessment as required.
• When required, on ad-hoc basis arrange and oversee initial trial placements of dogs, with prospective volunteers

• Support volunteers in addressing challenges and reinforcing best practices.

GMAVSG Worker

Salary and hours: Based on £39,963 per annum for full-time 35 hour week, pro rata according to number of hours worked.  This post is for 2 to 3 days / 14 to 21 hours per week: number of hours per week and days of work negotiable, providing you are available during core hours of 9.30am to 4pm for at least 2 days a week.

25 days annual leave, plus public holidays, for 35 hours per week, pro rata according to number of hours worked.

The main work is providing welfare benefits advice to people with asbestos diseases.  Training will be given on compensation and industrial injuries benefits for people with asbestos diseases.

You will also assist with campaigning, and with running our Living Well and Families support groups, though the GMAVSG Coordinator will take the lead on these.

Greater Manchester Asbestos Victims Support Group (GMAVSG) is a registered charity, established by the Greater Manchester Hazards Centre (GMHC) in 1994. You will be doing GMAVSG work but you will be employed by GMHC.  GMHC provides information, advice and campaigning on health and safety at work. 

The GMAVSG office is in Manchester; all staff work mainly from home, but must be able to do home visits to clients, mostly in Greater Manchester.  GMAVSG provides comprehensive free advice on benefits, and basic information on compensation, to people with asbestos diseases.  Our help is free.  Most of our clients have mesothelioma, a terminal cancer and are men in their 60s, 70s, and 80s who were exposed to asbestos at work.  We also campaign on issues affecting asbestos victims. GMAVSG runs two support groups: Families Group for people who have lost a loved one to asbestos disease, Living Well for people with mesothelioma and their families/carers.

GMAVSG Job

The job offers the prospect of doing interesting and worthwhile work, including campaigning, with a particular client group, who benefit greatly from our specialist advice and empathetic support.  It is not just ‘conveyor belt’ advice work.

You will be delivering benefits advice to people mainly through home visits in Greater Manchester and some of the neighbouring areas of Derbyshire, Cheshire and Lancashire. Full driving licence and access to a car are essential.  The work includes covering a phone helpline on a rota basis, the main purpose of which is to ensure that visits are promptly offered to people newly diagnosed with an asbestos disease.

Recent experience of welfare rights / benefits advice is essential, as are good ICT and administration skills.  Training will be given on compensation and industrial injuries benefits for people with asbestos diseases.

A pay rise is due from April 2026 as salaries are normally uprated annually at least in line with inflation.

The post is permanent, and the charity is financially secure for the foreseeable future.

The Maya Centre is a specialist women-only organisation providing culturally responsive counselling and mental health support for women in North London. We support around 500 women each year through holistic services, including one-to-one counselling, group therapies, psychoeducational programmes, and complementary therapies.

With over forty years’ experience responding to the impact of trauma and inequality, we are deepening our commitment to ensuring that women’s voices shape the design of our services, partnerships, and systems.

About the Role

We are seeking a Partnerships Building and Outreach Coordinator to strengthen Maya Centre’s connections and develop partnerships with specialist, community, and statutory organisations. The role focuses on building effective referral pathways so women and girls from underrepresented communities can access timely, holistic support. You will also deliver targeted outreach and provide time-limited support to help women access essential services, while working collaboratively to strengthen a more joined-up system across the VAWG and mental health sectors.
