About the Role

As Marketing Manager, you will support the organisation’s public profile, audience engagement and income generation objectives through the delivery of effective, audience-focused and strategically aligned marketing activity.

Leading the organisation’s marketing function, you will ensure the Refugee Council delivers high-quality, consistent and impactful marketing materials, publications, campaigns and audience engagement activity that supports organisational priorities, strengthens supporter engagement and public confidence, and contributes to income generation objectives.

About the role 

This role sits within Shelter’s in-house Direct Dialogue team, which operates face-to-face and door-to-door fundraising teams across London, Manchester and Scotland. As Door-to-Door Regional Manager, you’ll help drive the ongoing growth and performance of the London region while ensuring high standards in fundraising practice, compliance and people management. 

You’ll be responsible for recruiting, training and developing fundraising staff, managing regional performance against financial and non-financial targets, and ensuring strong reporting, planning and risk management.

You’ll also work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to secure quality sites, maintain effective operations and support long-term regional success. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated manager who enjoys leading from the front, building capable teams and using insight, coaching and operational discipline to deliver results. We have an incredibly rewarding and meaningful opportunity to join us as a Community Development Coordinator with a focus on lived experience and involvement covering the whole of the Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan area.

This role plays an instrumental part in making strong trusted relationships with people affected by dementia, families and carers within communities and diverse groups to support them to attend workshops and focus groups or community networks, Alzheimer's Society have a commitment to working with people with lived experience. This ensures that we create and adapt our services to be meaningful and reflect the needs of our service users. This role helps to embed this value and a improve dementia awareness and inclusivity in our communities, businesses and with stakeholders. 

The successful individual will be working with the support of the team to ensure that individuals, local communities and health services have access to vital information about dementia support, ensuring that lived experience remains a real focus in local communities.

This is a highly rewarding and outward-facing role, focused on building strong relationships across diverse communities. You will engage and network with people at all levels—from senior healthcare professionals to people affected by dementia, their families and carers. Living Wage Places

The Living Wage Places scheme is pioneering a collaborative, place-based approach to tackling in-work poverty. Local action groups made up of public and private sector Living Wage Employers, work together with charities, unions and civil society on a three-year action plan to tackle local in-work poverty and grow the number of employers committed to the Living Wage, Living Hours and Living Pensions.

Main Responsibilities

The Programme Manager for Living Wage Places plays a central role in delivering and growing a pioneering, place-based approach to tackling in-work poverty. The role is responsible for managing and developing the Living Wage Places programme, supporting local action groups to deliver ambitious action plans, and embedding wider standards including Living Hours and Living Pensions. They will be the first point of contact for regional leads seeking guidance in their work/regions. • Supporting ~60 internal users with day-to-day bespoke services including reporting, creating and editing list views, maintaining page layouts and best practices, all managed through cases and assigned to you by team needs. 
• Actively participating in projects, including owning tasks, critical thinking and inputting into project conversations, and liaising with stakeholders to suggest solutions. 
• Run training sessions for staff, from Salesforce basics to more advances and bespoke functionality. Frequently improve and monitor training materials to increase efficiency and adoption. 
• Using Form Assembly to create and manage forms, ensuring accurate data collection and entry into Salesforce and independently handling error messages coming in as a part of a rota (after training).
• Using Jira to proactively create and track work
• Work closely with Third Party support providers to progress work. This could be Partner consultancies, Salesforce Support, or other Products in use within the Org. 
• Working within the Salesforce NPSP data model, ensuring accurate management of constituents, relationships, and donations.

Marketing Cloud 

• This role will support our use of Marketing Cloud Engagement, alongside the CRM team and Partner organisations.  This will include:
• Supporting the use and development of Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement, including managing data extensions, contact segmentation, and audience creation to support targeted campaigns.
• Ensuring data quality and compliance within Marketing Cloud by maintaining accurate subscriber data, managing preferences, and supporting GDPR best practices.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to translate campaign requirements into technical builds, including personalisation, dynamic content, and automation.
• Monitoring campaign performance through reports and analytics, providing insights and recommendations to improve engagement and effectiveness.
• Supporting integration and data flow between Salesforce CRM and Marketing Cloud, troubleshooting issues and ensuring consistency across platforms.
• Contributing to documentation and best practice guidelines for Marketing Cloud usage, including campaign processes, naming conventions, and data management standards.
• Assisting with user support and training related to Marketing Cloud functionality, helping team members adopt tools and improve campaign execution.
