With so much scope for growth in Trusts and Foundations, you'll be working closely with another T&F Manager in the team.

This is a hands-on and strategic role. You'll:

Mortlake Community Association is looking for an experienced Interim Director to join a vibrant and inclusive local charity in London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. The main purpose of the role is to maintain our growing profile as a community hub and support our range of varied activities. Experience of working with service users and volunteers in a local community setting is essential. The post is offered on a fixed term 9 month contract, starting in May 2026 to align with our Director’s maternity leave.

• Senior leadership or management experience within a charity, voluntary, community or not-for-profit organisation. 

• Experience working with, reporting to, or supporting a Board of Trustees or equivalent governance body. 

• Proven experience of managing and supporting staff and volunteers. 

• Demonstrable experience of securing funding, including writing successful funding bids and managing funder relationships. 

• Experience of budget management and financial oversight, working closely with a Treasurer or finance lead. 

• Experience of overseeing projects or programmes, including monitoring, evaluation and reporting. 

• Experience of managing buildings, facilities or community assets (or the ability to develop this quickly). 

Desirable experience:

The Development Events Manager’s role is to organise a portfolio of events and support on the delivery of larger annual fundraising events. They are responsible for creating and delivering a variety of events that align with supporter benefits, in order to engage potential supporters and further develop relationships with existing supporters. The role works collaboratively with the fundraising and membership teams in the department, to best meet the needs of supporters and maximise income.

The successful candidate will have experience of managing events and strong project management skills. They will have excellent organisational and communication skills and the ability to work on their own initiative as well as in a team. They will be used to working in a fast-paced environment and to managing multiple events simultaneously.

At The Brilliant Club, we mobilise the PhD community to support students from less advantaged backgrounds to access the most competitive universities and succeed when they get there. We work with students who, because of their family income, parental history or the postcode they live in, are at risk of missing out on the life-changing opportunities linked to higher education.

We are delighted to be hiring a Senior Research and Evaluation Officer to join The Brilliant Club. This pivotal role will support the charity’s research and evaluation consultancy work through Brilliant Consulting. Through our consultancy work, we have partnered with a range of universities and education organisations, such as the Centre for Transforming Access and Student Outcomes in Higher Education (TASO) and The Sutton Trust. The Senior Research and Evaluation Officer will contribute to improving the evidence base for what works to drive fairer education outcomes and social mobility. They will do this by supporting mission-aligned organisations to conduct robust evaluations of outreach and education programmes.

The Senior Research and Evaluation Officer will join a small consultancy team and will be managed by the charity’s Director of Research and Impact. The team is also supported by several colleagues from across the organisation who work on specific projects based on their areas of expertise. The consultancy team is part of the charity’s wider research and impact team, who collectively have two areas of responsibility: evaluating and reporting the impact of the charity’s programmes and providing research and evaluation consultancy and strategy support to education organisations.

The successful candidate will have strong research skills, including in quantitative research, and will be able to communicate technical information and findings to university access and success practitioners and educators. They will also demonstrate professional skills in relation to stakeholder management and project management and will champion the charity’s values and embody them in interactions with colleagues and partners. While this role can be based at any of our offices throughout the UK, some travel will be required (mainly to London) to attend in-person meetings.

• Has a degree in a subject involving applied research (e.g., economics, education, policy, psychology, sociology, statistics).
• Has quantitative research skills, ideally with experience of constructing comparison groups and running statistical models to understand impact.

You will lead on all financial reporting, planning and compliance, and ensure financial information is accurate, timely and useful for decision-making. You will also manage one member of staff (Finance Administrator) and work with colleagues across the organisation to support budgeting, forecasting, project costing and grant applications.

Key responsibilities

Board & Leadership

• Advise the CEO and Board on all financial matters, ensuring all legal and financial requirements are met.

Reporting

• Support and oversee the Finance Administrator with SAGE payroll and keep up to date with relevant tax/employment law changes.
• Review payroll before submission.

Other responsibilities

• Manage high‑level cashflow and work with the Finance Administrator on daily cash monitoring.
• Line-manage the Finance Administrator.
• Support departments with project budgets, cashflows and grant applications.
• Develop and update financial systems and controls as the organisation evolves.

• Lead on tax, ensuring preparation of tax returns including VAT, CIS, Corporation Tax, Gift Aid and Employment Taxes.
• Identify and implement tax planning opportunities.
• Manage relationships with internal and external advisors and tax authorities, as required.
• Support the Group with ad-hoc tax and technical accounting queries.

What You'll Need to Succeed

• Full CCAB or CIMA qualification (or equivalent). Essential.
• Experience with core tax areas such as VAT, CIS or Corporation Tax and the ability to interpret legislative changes.
• Strong financial accounting experience gained in practice, industry, or the public/not-for-profit sector.
• Solid understanding of UK accounting standards and statutory reporting requirements.
• Confident communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with reconciliations and supporting month-end activities.

Desirable:

• Experience preparing group or consolidated accounts.
• Prior exposure to operating in a public or not-for-profit environment such as housing, local or central government, or wider public services.
• Experience supporting external audit processes.

About the role. We have an opportunity for a Clinical Research Coordinator to join our Clinical Programmes team and support our growing portfolio of clinical research studies. This role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth delivery of research studies, helping to drive progress and meet key milestones.

As Clinical Research Coordinator, you will be managing the day-to-day operational aspects of the research studies. You’ll act as a central point of contact, collaborating confidently with clinicians, nurses, patient groups and other stakeholders to ensure studies run efficiently and effectively.  With a keen eye for detail, you’ll maintain accurate documentation and site files, ensuring readiness for audits and inspections.

About You. You bring experience, and/or proven know-how in clinical research coordination or research project management.  You’re highly organised, able to juggle multiple priorities and thrive in a collaborative environment.  Your strong written and verbal communication skills help you build effective working relationships with stakeholders and your tech-savviness and understanding of regulatory frameworks allow you to work confidently with study systems and processes.

More about the role

In this dynamic position, you will be the driving force behind our Estates and Facilities helpdesk. You'll coordinate both reactive works and planned preventative maintenance, ensuring requests are triaged effectively, urgent issues are resolved swiftly, and service disruptions are clearly communicated to all stakeholders.

Day-to-day, you will line-manage and empower a team of two Facilities Administrators, fostering a positive, inclusive, and values-led culture through coaching and training. You'll also act as the crucial bridge between our clinical, retail, and rehoming site teams and our external contractors. This means identifying the right technical experts for the job, deploying them effectively, and closely monitoring their performance against agreed service levels.

System management is a key component of this role. You will manage our CAFM system to log and track jobs, analyze data to identify recurring trends, and produce reports that drive better decision-making. Working closely with the Health & Safety team, your vigilance will ensure our spaces remain secure, compliant, and well-maintained while delivering excellent value for money. You will have a deep understanding of CAFM systems and how they can be used and further developed to offer a better service to our internal customers.

This is a fixed term role until March 2027. It is a hybrid role with two days a week based out of Victoria pet hospital. There will also be occasional travel to other sites.

About you:

You are a highly organized, service-oriented professional who stays calm and communicates clearly, even when juggling competing priorities or navigating urgent situations. Taking ownership of an issue and seeing it through to resolution is second nature to you. You will have a working knowledge of CAFM or similar service management systems, and know how to get the most out of them to improve our ways of working.

You are entirely comfortable diving into systems and data to spot trends, manage contractor performance, and drive continuous improvement. Building strong, professional relationships across a wide variety of teams comes easily to you, backed by a keen, proactive eye for health, safety, and compliance. 

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Experience 

• Experience of managing or coordinating a facilities helpdesk or similar service function.
• Working knowledge of CAFM or comparable service management systems.
• Experience of managing external contractors and monitoring performance against SLAs.
• Understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Experience of using data and reporting to manage workload, performance, or budgets.
• Ability to consistently demonstrate Blue Cross values of compassion, courage and inclusivity.
• Experience of supporting facilities budgets or cost tracking.
• Knowledge of statutory compliance and planned preventative maintenance processes.
