The Collaborative Arts Organiser will sit at the heart of Himmah's cultural work, working onthe design, oversight and delivery of collaborative and participatory arts, narrative and heritage projects that bring communities together across race and class. The post-holder will be primarily based with the Race and Class Arts Lab, while contributing across all three Hubs of
the Race, Arts and Heritage strategy.

This is a role for someone who believes that art, culture and heritage are essential tools for organising and liberation, that creative practice can build solidarity across difference, surface community histories, and challenge the dominant narratives that uphold racial and class injustice.

In this role, you will:

• Design and deliver participatory arts and heritage projects rooted in communities
• Bring people together across race and class to build relationships and shared work

About The Felix Project 

The Felix Project is London’s largest food redistribution charity. Our vision is a London where good food is never wasted, and no one goes hungry. We aim to reduce the negative impact food waste has on the environment by working with the food industry to rescue high quality surplus produce, that would otherwise have gone to waste. This food is sorted at one of our four depots or turned into meals in Felix’s Kitchen. It is then distributed to over 1,200 community organisations, such as food banks, homeless shelters and primary schools, all of whom are working within communities across London to feed people experiencing hunger.

Purpose of the Job 

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring that the charity is successful in achieving its objective to rescue and secure a growing supply of surplus food direct from farms, helping us to meet our ambitious future meal targets to feed those in need. You will take a lead role in maintaining relations with the farms and managing large groups of corporate volunteers who change day to day. You will be the First Aid point of contact, provide support with resource planning, daily reporting and measurement. You will also work with the Felix media team to capture photos, case studies and other activities. This is a hands-on role that requires being on your feet and frequent manual handling and is 100% outdoor based regardless of weather.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Initial set up 8:00am at orchard site each day 
• Carry out Dynamic Risk Assessment each morning
• Meet, greet and check in volunteers on arrival
• Support volunteers with way finding from train station to farm
• Introduction and H&S briefings for volunteers
• Manage all aspects of picking, stacking, loading of fruit
• Arrange lunch and refreshments for volunteers
• Liaise with farmer/on-site contact day-to-day
• Liaise with Haulier to arrange collections and deliveries 
• Liaise with the depot teams regarding deliveries
• Lead & support where necessary on all farm outreach activity
• Any other duties as directed by line management

About the role

The Doncaster Therapeutic Service is based within therapeutic services in the Resettlement Team in South Yorkshire. The Resettlement team provides advice and support for resettled refugees to help them access services and mainstream provision and establish community links. Working closely with local stakeholders and in partnership with other voluntary sector agencies, the Refugee Council Resettlement team promotes both the integration and independence of this group.

The Psychological Therapist role is designed to provide one-to-one psychological therapy to resettled refugees presenting with mental distress. We have adopted a psychosocial perspective and use a specially tailored care model to address the needs of our clients. The team have supported resettled adult refugees in South Yorkshire by providing short-term one-to-one therapeutic support since September 2017.

Role Purpose

Action Earth offers grants to help urban communities to respond to our nature and climate crises. Funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, these nature grants support volunteers of all ages, backgrounds and abilities in practical outdoor activities in Scotland’s cities, towns and villages.

We are looking for a talented, dynamic, and organised Engagement Manager to join our Action Earh team in a mainly administrative role. You will be joining an existing team of one part time Engagement Manager and a long-term volunteer who supports the project.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

· Administration tasks including maintaining effective and accessible records using Microsoft Office, Google Docs, MailChimp and a CRM.

· To ensure that Action Earth meets it’s agreed targets, reporting format and schedule.

You will be working alongside the wider team to maintain all buildings, including our Grade II listed Manor House and Leisure Centre, and the outside grounds and activity areas, to ensure the site is welcoming, tidy and safe for all. You will assist the Facilities Manager in ensuring we remain compliant with relevant Health & Safety legislation; and will be involved in various duties that contribute to the wider success of the Centre and London Youth. 

What you will be doing 

The Facilities Assistant provides logistical and maintenance support for the Woodrow estate and holds the following core responsibilities. This is not intended as an exhaustive list, and the job may change over time to reflect the changing needs of our centre, as well as the personal development needs of the post holder. 

Grounds upkeep: 

• General upkeep of the 26-acre estate grounds e.g. pruning, mowing, planting, tidying gardens. 
• Keeping grounds, paths and hard surfaces safe and free of ice, snow, leaves, weeds, etc. 
• Maintaining the 3G astro pitch, cycle circuit and outdoor activity areas.

Building maintenance: 

• Undertake day-to-day minor repairs, e.g. patching, painting, leaky taps, hinges, caulking, etc. 
• Undertake cyclical / seasonal jobs e.g. clearing gutters, drains, drain gratings, etc. 
• Support with biomass boiler maintenance and receive woodchip deliveries. 
• Support with basic utilities issues as they arise, e.g. heating, plumbing, electrical, etc. 

Health and safety: 

• Undertake routine safety/compliance checks of all facilities including, among other things, legionella temperature aduits, emergency equipment inspections and tests, etc. 
• Support the FM with risk assessments and work procedures relevant to the role. 
• Maintain accurate records of all work carried out using systems in place for auditing. 

General duties: 

• Basic joinery, carpentry and build projects done in house, under direction of the FM. 
• Supervise outside contractors to ensure all jobs are carried out to agreed standards. 
• Supervise corporate volunteer groups who support us with gardening or build projects. 
• Support with setup and occasional on-the-day attendance at various events. 
• Undertake other duties as reasonably requested by London Youth's management that ensure the ongoing success of the charity and delivery of excellent customer experiences. 

What you bring to the role 

Experience, Knowledge & Skills 

We do not expect candidates to have expertise in all areas, but at a minimum experience of minor buildings repairs and maintenance and groundskeeping work is essential to this role. Training will be provided to address some gaps where necessary and relevant. 

• Experience with grounds maintenance including tree and lawn care, gardening, etc. 
• Experience of maintenance in heating, plumbing, electrical systems. 
• Demonstrable good practical DIY skills, including decorating, joinery, carpentry, repairs, etc.

This role is intended to facilitate and coordinate involvement in FoCUS by promoting the network and encouraging people who use the Trust’s services and carers to join and participate in user involvement activities, and raise themes heard from member experiences to the Trust for discussion.

Main Responsibilities

Promotion of FoCUS

· Encourage and enable people with experience of mental health services and carers to join FoCUS and to influence SABP’s services.

· Increase awareness of the benefits of user involvement and representation in building people’s confidence, sense of worth and self-esteem and in helping people to achieve greater social inclusion.

· Promote FoCUS to people who use SABP’s services and carers, across Surrey and Northeast Hampshire. Using a variety of communication and engagement methods including attending relevant outreach and community events with an exhibition stand or promotional materials.

· Increase the number of service users and carers joining as FoCUS members.
