Haven House Children’s Hospice cares for children and young people who have life-limiting or life-threatening conditions across North and East London, West Essex and East Herts. This role sits within the High Value partnerships team, working within the Corporate fundraising team, and alongside Philanthropy, Trusts and Grants, and Special Events. It reports into the Assistant Director of IGM/ Head of High Value Partnerships.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Working to specific income targets, the Supporter Engagement Manager is responsible for acquisition campaigns including regular giving, direct mail appeals, online fundraising, legacys; retention campaigns including ongoing stewardship to increase supporter engagement. You will grow relationships with supporters and work closely with wider fundraisering team to devise and execute creative and effective stewardship journeys. You will have a sound understanding of fundraising membership schemes and sector regulations, with knowledge of best practice CRM and/or fundrasing database.
The Supporter Engagement Manager will work with the Senior Head of Supporter Engagement to develop the strategy for increasing income across all individual giving streams and then work with the Marketing and Communications Manager and the wider team to impliment it. You will play an instrumental part in creatively engaging supporters to get involved in our high-value campaigns, events and regular giving programme. This includes our annual matched-funding campaign and reoccuring giving programmes, which last year raised £1m and £150k respectively. The post-holder will be key in taking the Individual Giving programme to the next level, providing proactive engagement opportunities and efficiently work with data to provide timely, targeted, relevant and engaging communications to our various supporters.

- Fundraising Strategy
Implement plans to attract high-value individual philanthropists in collaboration with the Fundraising & Philanthropy Lead and wider Fundraising strategy.
- Targets
Contribute to the delivery of the organisation’s ambitious growth around philanthropic giving, setting KPI’s and working with our Executive team to secure donations of £10,000 and above.
- Prospect Research

- Proposal Writing
Create compelling, persuasive and bespoke proposals for prospective donors to influence and engage them and secure philanthropic support.

As well as overseeing the successful execution of daily operations, the Tutor and Partnerships Manager will work closely with the Senior Management Team and the programmes team to create strategic development opportunities for our tutors that enhance our ability to attract high quality tutors and ensure their own personal and professional growth. You will also develop and refine our Tutor Impact and Measurement systems, so that we are able to make data-driven decisions around recruitment, retention, and tutor development. This will involve identifying trends amongst tutors, making strategic adjustments in response to those trends, and reporting to senior members of Tutors United and our Board of Trustees at different points throughout the academic year. You will also work closely with the Programme and Impact Manager to ensure strong collaboration and cohesion across the frontline delivery team as a whole. We’re looking for a creative and hands-on communications all-rounder to support Climate Spring across digital, brand, marketing, events and general communications.
The Communications and Marketing Coordinator will work closely with the Head of Communications and Events as well as the Development and Events Coordinator, helping to deliver and evolve the organisation’s communications strategy. The post holder will also support communications and content creation for Climate Spring's Climate Fiction Prize, a new literary prize celebrating novels tackling the climate crisis.
This is a broad and varied role ideal for someone with a strong visual eye, excellent copywriting skills and experience across digital, social media, website and brand management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Digital and Content:
- Maintain and update the Climate Spring website (Webflow).
- Draft, edit and publish content across a variety of channels, including website, social media, newsletters and events copy.
- Support the management of Climate Spring's social media channels and calendars; create and post content.
- Lead on compiling and gathering content for Climate Spring’s monthly community newsletter.
- Support social media output for the Climate Fiction Prize as needed.
Brand and Marketing:
- Act as brand guardian alongside the Head of Communications and Events, ensuring consistency across all communications outputs and materials.
- Support the design and production of assets for Climate Spring and the Climate Fiction Prize using Canva (social posts, invites, presentations, event materials).
- Keep up with branding and marketing trends and suggest fresh approaches to drive engagement and community building across channels.
Events Communications:
- Support the promotion and communications around Climate Spring events (in-person, online and partner-led)
- Working with the Development and Events Coordinator to manage and send out event invites, manage RSVPs and event follow-ups.
- Support the promotion and marketing for Climate Spring’s workshops and training offerings.
- Help identify and coordinate new event opportunities.
- Attend Climate Spring events (in-person and online), take photos and cover on socials as required.
Reporting and Admin:
- Track and report on communications activities, including press coverage, social, newsletter and website analytics to optimise impact and reach.
- Assist with general communications, events and marketing planning.
- Manage and maintain mailing lists (newsletter list, press lists).
- Maintain and share the communications and events calendar.
MINIMUM ROLE CRITERIA AND SKILLS:
- Proven experience in a busy comms, digital, marketing or public affairs role (agency or in-house).
- Excellent copywriting skills across web, social and editorial.
- Strong visual eye for branding and attention to detail.
- Experience of creating engaging social media content tailored to different platforms.
