The Commercial and Estates Director provides strategic and operational leadership of the Quakers in Britain Commercial and Estates teams, and in addition is a part of the Quakers in Britain Senior Leadership Team.

You may or may not be a Quaker, but you’ll be confident working in an environment where our values of simplicity, truth, equality, peace and sustainability are at the forefront of our decision-making. You'll have a track record of applying these values in commercial contexts, as well as a sympathy with the wider Quaker faith and aims.

You will ideally bring a record of achievement in:

  • Leadership and management of a multidisciplinary team in the attractions or conferencing sector with knowledge of buildings and facility management, either in the private sector or as part of a complex commercial arm in the public or voluntary sectors.
  • Innovative and creative business development.
  • Experience in marketing and developing a strong customer base.

We aim to prevent age, belief, disability, ethnicity, gender, gender reassignment, marital status, nationality, neurodivergence, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation or social class from being a barrier to employment. We aim for an equitable, user-friendly application process, and reasonable adjustments can be made if needed. As a Quaker organisation we expect all applicants and employees to uphold our values.

We are committed to safeguarding children, young people, and vulnerable adults. All candidates will undergo pre-employment checks in line with our Safer Recruitment guidelines.
