The Role:
We are looking for a compassionate and proactive Mental Health Outreach Worker to join our team. You will deliver community-based crisis prevention and mental health support, with a focus on underrepresented groups, particularly racialised communities and LGBTQI+.
This role combines crisis intervention, peer support, and holistic outreach to individuals with complex mental health needs, including co-occurring conditions, substance use, trauma, and suicidal ideation. This role serves as the link between our services and the local community.
We are seeking a person who is dedicated, able to form professional relationships in challenging situations, understands crisis intervention and can lone work with confidence and with the support of the wider team. You will have an understanding of crisis and risk planning, developing trusting professional relationships and have the ability to work proactively with the support of the wider team.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide timely, community-based crisis prevention and support, including outreach to individuals leaving inpatient care.
· Engage marginalised communities to improve access to mental health services and reduce stigma.

About the Role
As a Support Worker in a Children’s Home, you will provide direct support and care for our young people, who have complex emotional and mental health difficulties (such as trauma and loss),and can struggle to regulate their emotions. BAWG is the Bond Afghan Working Group which represents approx. 30 charitable organisations based in the UK and Ireland, with a focus on Afghanistan. BAWG’s members are involved in the delivery of humanitarian & development aid, through colleagues, teams and local providers throughout Afghanistan.
BAWG’s focus is advocacy and comms with key stakeholders in the UK, who are primarily MPs, parliamentarians and select media. Members of BAWG meet online once a fortnight; the group has a Steering Committee, which is accountable to its members and has recently embarked on a new strategic direction.
We are now looking for a Coordinator who will ensure both the smooth day-to-day running of BAWG and also play a pivotal role in the next steps in delivering our strategy. The role, funded from membership fees and donations, is BAWG’s only salaried post, and will ensure the board meets its commitments to members, and reports effectively into Bond. For the right candidate, it offers a real opportunity to play an active and important role in BAWG’s development.
Main purpose of the job
This is a new role at an important time; government funding is under extreme pressure and the geo-political backdrop is increasingly tumultuous, while Afghanistan continues to be one of world’s most fragile and challenging contexts. BAWG’s focus and objectives require careful coordination, so we are in search of a skilful professional who will be equally comfortable to perform admin duties, but also embrace the possibilities of a passionate network of individuals and organisations.

A Day in the Life
A day in the life of the adviser is likely to be very varied. Built around a fortnightly meeting with the group, the adviser will act as a focus for sharing intelligence and information coming out of the group, and ensuring that all members are well informed. At the same time, the adviser might equally be working with members of Bond’s media team, looking at opportunities to bring focus and attention on issues relating to Afghanistan through opinion pieces commissioned from key thinkers. Or it might be an event in Parliament, building consensus and support with MPs, looking at opportunities to bring key issues to light. And, of course, you will be part of Bond’s wider membership team, and exploring ways of working together, looking at how we attract new members into the group will be part of the role. St Giles is expanding its delivery of hospital-based projects; this service is aimed at vulnerable 12 to 25-year-olds who attend the adult or paediatric emergency department or Urgent Care Centre at Northwick Park Hospital. We will work alongside hospital staff to proactively identify vulnerable young people and help them to access and engage the support they need to prevent any potential escalation of violence and reduce the risk of repeat victimisation or exploitation.
About this key role
You will be embedded in the hospital, providing support for those young people admitted to emergency departments right through to their discharge back into the community. You will have experience of working with ‘high risk,’ vulnerable young people, be part of a multidisciplinary team, and have a flexible, empathetic approach to your work. This support extends post-discharge from the ED or Hospital with our Caseworkers working with the CYP and the professional networks to ensure the CYP voice is front and centre, this is to support the betterment of the CYP and their future, as well as reducing risks. This is done through providing 121 support in formulating the support plan with the CYP. This can also include supporting the family and advocating for them and CYP within the wider professional network.

Our youth service includes age restricted youth groups, 1:1 mentoring, some school-based delivery with occasional training workshops; and our community services include delivery of an LGBTQ+ community forum, community events, social groups, and volunteering programmes.
Working both in-person office based, with some remote home-based working (particularly required whilst awaiting completion of building works and relocation to new premises) you will be required to work one late evening a week and occasional other evenings and weekends when required.

About the Service
Our Nightlight Service (Cafés, Helpline, 24/7 Crisis House and Daylight provision) is proud to provide urgent support, crisis intervention and emotional support to people experiencing a mental health crisis in Hertfordshire as an alternative to statutory pathways.
We provide support to adults across Hertfordshire 7 days a week, 365 days a year through our helpline, crisis centres, crisis cafes and a weekend Crisis House. We aim to provide a safe space for people in crisis to talk and feel supported, be listened to without judgement, access relevant support with problem solving and facilitate access to external services when necessary.
As a member of our team you will work closely with service users in crisis by using a person-centred approach as to ensure that each individual is supported with dignity and respect. By honouring the individual experience of each service user, we are able to respect their autonomy as well as encourage and facilitate positive steps towards management of crisis and recovery.

About the Role
You will be a key member of staff delivering the Nightlight Mental Health Crisis Service. Taking part in a rota covering 7 days per week, ensuring the delivery of high quality crisis support and instilling Hertfordshire Mind Network’s values throughout the Crisis Cafe and Helpline services. Working closely with other staff such as: The Service Manager, Team Leaders, Co-Ordinators, Contract and Bank Support Workers and Volunteers in order to ensure services are of the highest quality and to support the continued growth and development of the service.

About the role
We are looking for a leader who will lead, inspire and challenge the Policy and Health Strategy teams to push for significant improvements in services for people with Parkinson’s across the UK. You’ll work closely with people affected by Parkinson’s, health care professionals and others to influence decision makers across Whitehall, Westminster and local health systems.
As an experienced health, research and public policy leader, you will lead our policy, campaigning and NHS improvement professionals, both within their teams and across the devolved nations teams to build Parkinson’s UK’s reputation as a trusted, expert and determined partner and advocate for people affected by Parkinson’s.
You’ll oversee an annual budget of around £4 million, and a team of 45 people.

About the Project
The Children and Young People’s (CYP) Community Counselling service is a new Herts Mind Network service, whose aim is to provide accessible, timely and high quality countywide counselling to local children and young people. Our CYP Community Counselling Service will deliver a blend of face-to-face, online, 1:1 and group counselling to enable young people to obtain impactful therapeutic support for the mental health difficulties they are facing, in a way that suits them.

About the Role
The CYP Sessional Counsellor post is integral to the delivery of this new community-based clinical service, delivering needs-led, robust and flexible counselling to local CYPF. The postholder will work clinically within the service, delivering group and/or 1:1 counselling either in-person or online. The CYP Sessional Counsellor will deliver a minimum of one therapeutic group or 3 x 1:1 counselling sessions per week. The clinical work of the postholder may take place in varied formats/locations, meeting the needs, requirements and preferences of CYPF accessing the service. The postholder will keep timely, detailed and accurate records, following organisational processes diligently. They will also ensure any concerns regarding CYPF accessing the service are escalated and managed efficiently, keeping the CYPF at the centre of their decision making.
The successful candidate will have a Level 4 qualification diploma or above in counselling, psychotherapy or arts/play therapy AND current registered/accredited/full/qualified membership of one of the following relevant professional bodies (BACP, UKCP, HCPC, BAAT etc.), competency in working within a recognized theoretical framework or therapeutic modality and a minimum of 1-2 years experience working in a therapeutic or counselling capacity with children, young people and/or families.
