Post Introduction
In conjunction with the Director of Finance you will manage the efficient operation of the finance function though management and statutory accounting, internal control and cash management.
You will manage the accounting system covering processes for nominal ledger, purchase and sales ledger, stipends and payroll.
Through the work of the department you will contribute to the effective stewardship of resources and the transparent accountability that is the hallmark of the Diocese of Southwark.
Main Responsibilities
Working alongside the Director of Finance you will produce the annual financial statements and work with him on managing the annual audit process.
You will produce monthly management accounts on a timely basis as key financial information for the efficient management of the Diocese and for the information of Trustees. The Diocese uses XLedger and you will become the primary contact and knowledge base for the system, developing its reporting and functionality.
You will be responsible for the financial systems and processes of the finance department, and manage part of the finance team. You will oversee the team members responsible for payroll, stipends, purchase ledger and banking.
You will work with a wide range of people throughout the organisation, and have key relationships with those working on generous giving and vocations.
The Ideal Candidate
You must be a qualified accountant.
We are looking for someone is a qualified accountant, with charity accounting experience, and:
- a high degree of ability with accounting software packages, managing data flows into and out of such systems.
- experience of staff management and supervision, and who also enjoys building relationships outside the finance team.
You will be someone who:
- is most comfortable and productive working as part of an open and collaborative team.
- responds quickly to changing priorities, and can manage these while maintaining adherence to the deadlines that financial reporting cycles demand.
- has an affinity with the aims and values of the Church of England.

Gray’s Inn Road provides short-stay accommodation for 16 people, usually for three to six months. Funded by the Department of Levelling Up, Housing and Communities and the Greater London Authority, and delivered in partnership with One Housing Group and Camden Council, the service offers focused, trauma-informed support for people facing overlapping challenges including homelessness, poor physical and mental health, substance use, trauma and contact with the criminal justice system. As a Project Worker, you’ll hold a caseload, complete in-depth assessments, build tailored support plans and work alongside each person to develop practical life skills, confidence and clear pathways into longer-term housing and independence.
You’ll work in a psychologically informed and trauma-aware environment, alongside partners including Camden Routes off the Streets, Inroads, Connect Forward and the Adult Pathway. The Role:
We are recruiting for one IPS Employment Specialist role within our Islington IPS Service. This position will be based within the North London NHS Foundation Trust mental health services in the borough of Islington.
As an IPS Employment Specialist, you’ll play an important role in supporting people with lived mental health experience on their recovery journey by supporting them back into paid employment. This is an opportunity to offer ongoing support, to motivate and provide people with hope, while developing the tools and skills required to recover – ultimately transforming their lives.

PLEASE NOTE:
- The successful candidate will need to be based within a 30-minute commute of their allocated locality and there is a requirement to travel regularly across the wider area (travel expenses covered). The successful candidate must possess a valid full UK driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle with business insurance for work purposes.
- There will also be a requirement for occasional travel to other UK locations for meetings and events depending on the charity’s needs such as our annual all colleagues in person event.

About the role
You will:
- Provide direct advocacy support to children and young people. - Provide supervision and support to staff Advocates and provide casework reviews to the Associate Advocates who provide Children’s Rights Services in London and South East.

- Support in the monitoring, reporting, and evaluation of our projects.
- Support in the promotion of good practice across both Coram Voice and extgernal orgnisations, buidling equitable and inclusive practice across the sector for children and young people.

Sounds great, what will I be doing?
In this role, you will take a leading position within a dynamic mental health crisis and early‑intervention service, managing a diverse caseload while providing skilled de‑escalation, robust risk assessment and coordinated multi‑agency support. You will guide and empower service users to engage with community services, while also offering day‑to‑day leadership to Recovery Workers, Peer Support Workers and volunteers, ensuring consistent, high‑quality practice. Acting as shift lead when required, you will make informed, real‑time decisions to maintain safe and effective service delivery. A key part of the role involves supporting student placements, contributing to learning plans and offering reflective supervision. You will work closely with the Service Manager and Area Manager to monitor performance, contribute to audits and quality reviews, and drive ongoing service development. You will also play an active role in recruitment, onboarding and volunteer integration, and represent the service in partnership forums, strengthening pathways with local crisis teams and community organisations to ensure continuity of care and smooth transitions for service users.
