Main Purpose of the Role
This new role aims to support the design, coordination and delivery of Action Duchenne’s events portfolio, including the Annual Community Summit, regional meetups, workshops, and online events. The role will ensure smooth operational delivery, high‑ quality participant experiences, accessible information, and effective logistics‑ and supplier coordination.
This role contributes directly to our organisational impact by ensuring families, young people, professionals and partners have access to engaging, supportive and well managed events. Specific Tasks
1. Event Coordination and Logistics

Support the planning and delivery of the Annual Community Summit, working closely with the Chief Scientific Officer, Director of Fundraising and Communications, and wider team.

Coordinate logistics for in‑person and online events, including venue liaison, catering, accessibility arrangements, equipment, travel, accommodation and schedules.

Ensure event details are accurately published and updated across relevant platforms (website, CRM, communications channels).

Manage registration processes for all events and ensure attendees receive timely, accurate joining information.

Support the organisation of regional meet‑ups and workshops, ensuring venues, facilitators and resources are in place.
2. Administration and Operational Delivery

Maintain clear and accurate administrative systems, including event checklists, timelines, risk assessments and evaluation forms.

Track planned expenditure and ensure costs align with budgets, escalating issues where necessary.

Prepare and maintain event collateral (slides, handouts, resources, signage), ensuring accessibility and brand consistency.

Provide administrative and practical support during events (both online and in person), including setting up webinar sessions and coordinating pre and post event meetings internally.
3. Stakeholder and Supplier Management

Liaise with venues, suppliers, speakers, exhibitors and partners to ensure high quality event delivery.

Develop positive working relationships with internal colleagues to ensure a joined-up programme across support, communications and scientific teams.

Provide excellent customer service to participants, responding promptly and sensitively to enquiries, access requirements and logistical questions.
4. Community and Engagement Support

Collaborate with Support Team colleagues to ensure events reflect community needs and priorities.

Support the promotion of events through the Communications Officer, ensuring timely provision of copy, event information and updates.

5. Data Management, Monitoring and Evaluation

Ensure accurate data entry in CRM systems (eTapestry or similar) for attendee lists, engagement tracking and follow up actions.

Collect and analyse feedback, producing short evaluation summaries to inform future planning.

Track attendance, trends and logistical improvements, contributing to quarterly reporting.
6. Risk, Compliance and Quality Assurance

Support event risk assessments and ensure compliance with safeguarding, accessibility and GDPR guidance.

Role Overview:
As a Charity Fundraiser with Social Media and Digital Marketing experience, you will play a pivotal role in raising awareness and funds for our cause. You will leverage your expertise in fundraising, social media strategy, and digital marketing to develop and execute innovative campaigns that inspire individuals and organisations to engage and contribute. Key Responsibilities:
Although mostly working autonomously, you will be working with, and representing SCUK on the international Marketing and Communications Advisory Group to ensure a cohesive approach (the Communications and fund raising teams from the various Stephen’s Children entities in other nations):
- Fundraising Strategy & Campaigns:
- Develop and implement fundraising strategies that align with the charity’s mission and goals.
- Manage and grow fundraising campaigns across multiple platforms, including social media, email, and digital channels, as well as occasionally organising and attending fund raising events.
- Identify and engage potential donors, sponsors, and corporate CSR partners to grow the charity’s financial support base.
- Organize and manage online and occasional in person fundraising events, appeals, and virtual initiatives.
- Social Media & Digital Marketing:

Own transport is essential for this role as occasional travel throughout the UK will be required to attend donor meetings, events and networking opportunities, as well as the ability to travel to the Derby office. Myaware is the only charity in the UK dedicated solely to the care and support of people affected by myasthenia.
We are working hard to raise awareness of myasthenia, as it is a little-known condition. We provide support for people with myasthenia and their families, whilst offering advice and tips for living with the condition.
We also fund the research that brings us closer to finding a cure as well as funding specialists nurses and advisors.

About the role
Reporting in to the Communications and Content Lead, the Copywriter will inspire audiences to give, act and pray with Christian Aid, so everyone can live a full life, free from poverty and injustice.
The post-holder will generate compelling creative copy and make impactful decisions around writing, editing, proofing and reviewing copy to the highest quality standard and supporting freelancers and agencies to do the same. Their output uses their creativity, expertise and passion for copy to create and oversee exemplary content for both print and digital media.
Some of the main responsibilities of the Copywriter include:
- Provide copy leadership within the Communications Division and ensures high quality copy aligns with Christian Aid’s tone of voice and brand.

About the role
We’re looking for experienced social media and communications professionals to join our freelance moderation team.
Our moderators support a range of charity partners, working across always-on activity as well as high-profile campaigns and appeals. You’ll act as the voice of each organisation — engaging with supporters, answering queries, and ensuring conversations are managed safely and effectively.
This role is well suited as a flexible, additional source of income. Most of our moderators are freelancers or consultants working alongside other roles.
Working pattern
Moderation takes place between 9am and 9pm, Monday to Sunday.
Rather than working in one continuous block, you’ll complete your hours in short check-ins across the day to maintain coverage and meet response time targets.
Each account is allocated a set number of ‘active moderation hours’ per day (e.g. 2-3 hours), which are spread across multiple sessions.
For example, 3 hours may be split into 5-6 check-ins throughout the day.

About Culture Unstained
Culture Unstained is a campaigns and investigations organisation which primarily works to end fossil fuel sponsorship of culture, undermining the industry’s ‘social licence to operate’. We believe that targeting cultural sponsorship gets to the core of challenging the disruptive role of the fossil fuel industry in our politics, society and culture.
We work to end the social legitimacy and cultural power the fossil free industry currently gains from its involvement in culture and art – most visibly by sponsoring museums, galleries and other arts organisations – in order to bring about a world where cultural organisations draw an ethical red line and proudly reject funding and other ties to those involved in fuelling the climate crisis.

About the role
Culture Unstained is looking for a Campaigner to join our small but impactful team in the UK, at a key moment in the exciting campaign to end fossil fuel sponsorship of culture.
You will be working with our existing team on core campaigns such as the Science Museum and The British Museum, as well as contributing to our wider strategic work, which includes:
- Centring and amplifying the demands of impacted communities, in line with our values of climate justice and decolonisation.
- Cultivating opposition to fossil fuel sponsorship in the theatre and live music sectors, building upon our existing campaign against the Royal Bank of Canada’s sponsorship of The Old Vic theatre and instigating our first mobilisations against the recent fossil fuel sponsorship deal of a major music venue.
- Developing a mandate for sector-wide bodies, governments and multilateral organisations to implement bans on fossil fuel sponsorship and advertising, following the precedent of controls on tobacco promotion.
- Achieving consistent parliamentary scrutiny of fossil fuel industry conduct and cultural sponsorship through wider strategic engagement with parliament and culture sector bodies, alongside international advocacy activities.
- Researching and campaigning on fossil fuel industry influence on education and young people, including STEM education programmes and competitions.
- Creating the conditions for a broader cultural shift by engaging with artists and the wider culture sector through advocacy, relationship-building and convening e.g. providing sector-facing guidance on ethical sponsorship and fundraising.
- Strengthening the national and international ‘Fossil Free Culture’ movement, by resourcing and supporting allies across the wider movement.
Once in post, your role will likely mainly focus on two or three of the above areas depending on your skills, experience, interest and fit with the wider team. We would welcome ideas from you at the interview stage relating to any of our areas of work.
Key responsibilities
In this role you will be responsible for developing and implementing the campaign to end UK fossil fuel sponsorship of culture in collaboration with the rest of the team. Our work is often fast-paced and reactive, and key responsibilities include:
- Incorporating climate justice and solidarity principles into our work and creating opportunities to centre people on the front lines of climate justice and intersecting struggles;
- Contributing to research and investigations work to scrutinise fossil fuel companies’ sponsorship deals and business plans;
- Undertaking strategic media and communications work to ensure that fossil fuel sponsorship remains one of the most controversial debates within the culture sector and more widely, including pitching media stories, writing press releases, building relationships with key journalists in the mainstream and arts media, and producing public communications materials such as briefings, blogs and social media content;
- Direct engagement with decision-makers and regulatory bodies through, for example, written consultations, meetings, parliamentary events;
- Building relationships across the culture sector and with networks of NGOs, campaigners and frontline organisations, and working collaboratively with a range of organisations/contacts at significant campaign moments
- As a member of a Workers’ Co-operative you will also participate in decisions relating to overarching strategy and working conditions, as well as maintaining the effective running of the organisation.

About the Role
The Partnerships Manager will play a key role in driving income growth through philanthropy and strategic partnerships. Reporting to the CEO, this role will contribute to the delivery of an ambitious growth strategy.
