The Role
Having launched our Youth Adventure Programmes in Somerset in 2024, we are now looking for somebody who wants to take the next step in their fundraising career to build on the foundations of the last two years and significantly increase our presence in the county.
As our Regional Corporate Fundraiser, you'll be the driving force behind our local business partnerships, working with both large companies operating in the region and smaller local businesses looking to support their communities.
Your role will encompass:
Relationship building: Identifying and securing new corporate partnerships while providing high-quality stewardship to our existing Somerset-based supporters.
Community Engagement: Championing our work in Somerset by giving engaging talks to community groups and networking with local businesses.
Event delivery: Playing a key role in delivering local fundraising challenge events, the bi-annual Somerset Adventure Dinner and developing new opportunities to unite the Somerset business community behind our mission.
You'll work closely with the Corporate Partnership Manager and the Director of Fundraising and Communications to ensure each proposal is bespoke and every corporate partner understands the impact of their support on local young people. You must live in Somerset, have a good local awareness and be willing to travel around the county and beyond to nurture long-lasting, strategic relationships.
About You
We are looking for a people-person, who is self-motivated and highly organised. You are as comfortable in the board room engaging business leaders as you are standing on a mountain side in your waterproofs! You will be:
Experienced: A proven track record in building successful corporate partnerships and achieving income targets;
A relationship fundraiser: building long-lasting meaningful relationships should be at the heart of every single corporate partnership;
An inspiring communicator: You will be telling our story in a variety of different ways to inspire support and grow our networks;
Self-motivated: You are comfortable working from home but eager to be ‘out and about’ in the business community;
Pro-active and creative: No corporate partnership is the same, so you will be proactive in understanding a corporate partner’s motivation and coming up with creative ideas to build successful relationships;
Local: You must live in or near Somerset to maximise local networking opportunities, attend regular in-person meetings and events and confidently talk about local issues facing both businesses and the young people we support through our programmes;
Outdoorsy: A genuine love for the outdoors, comfortable in wellies and waterproofs with an understanding of 'the power of the outdoors'.
The Charity
At the Youth Adventure Trust, we use outdoor adventure to empower vulnerable young people from Swindon, Wiltshire and Somerset to fulfil their potential and lead positive lives in the future. We work with them to build resilience, develop confidence and learn skills that will last a lifetime, helping them to face the challenges in their lives. Dedicated support, guidance and mentoring from our staff and volunteers ensures young people receive the maximum benefit from our long-term intervention. Our aim is to make a lasting improvement to the lives of vulnerable young people. All our services are provided completely free of charge to the young people who are nominated by schools and other youth organisations to take part.

What you’ll do
Joining our small, high-energy team, you’ll play a key role growing our newest partner base and supporting primary school partners to make the most of the Unifrog platform and resources. Excellent customer service is at the heart of what we do, and you’ll make sure that all interactions with Unifrog are positive and successful.
Your key responsibilities:
Sell Unifrog subscriptions to primary schools
Design and deliver impactful prospecting campaigns and marketing collateral aimed at engaging potential new partners, tracking campaign performance and continually improving your approach to secure demonstrations and drive partnership growth.
Meet with potential partners on video calls (and sometimes in-person). Understand their priorities, demonstrate the Unifrog platform and resources, and secure their subscription.
Identify and attend conferences and events to promote Unifrog to primary school audiences, while networking and cultivating relationships for future partnership opportunities.
Develop a sound awareness of Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) and the PSHE Association Framework within the UK. You’ll need this to confidently navigate conversations with relevant contacts at primary schools.
Support primary school partners to make the most of Unifrog
Set up new partner schools for success. Help them to embed Unifrog across their staff, student and parent community. You’ll deliver an initial staff training session then provide ad-hoc support.
Proactively work to foster a sense of community amongst our primary school partners and think of ways to promote the sharing and embedding of Unifrog best practice between partners.
Achieve sky-high resubscription rates by securing partner renewals when their subscriptions come to an end.

The Soldiers' and Aviators' Scripture Readers Association (known as SASRA) is one of the longest-established Christian charities supporting the British Armed Forces. At Basecamp Adventure Trust, we empower vulnerable young people from West Yorkshire to thrive through unique, long-term programmes which harness outdoor adventure as a powerful vehicle for personal transformation. Through a combination of skills workshops, exhilarating adventure trips and a deeply relational approach, we challenge, celebrate and inspire young people to discover a newfound sense of confidence, resilience and self-belief, and to explore new possibilities for themselves. Our programmes are intensive, sustained and individualised to make a lasting positive difference on the young people we work with so they can lead happy, healthy and fulfilling lives.
This role demands a unique combination of skills. You’ll be a capable Programme Manager (or at the very least an aspiring one with a strong desire to step up from your current youth experience), with an understanding of the role outdoor adventure can have in supporting health and wellbeing and underpinning personal development.
In addition to this, we’ve got big ambitions to develop an events strand to our work, which brings together three separate but interlinked fundraising ideas. You will support us to create, shape and implement this new initiative alongside our team, helping us to turn our initial idea into a reality. Reports to: Senior Management Team
Hours: Full time, 5 days (37.5 hours) a week, flexible working evenings and weekends as required
Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 dependant on experience
Location: The Old Fire Station, Leeds (Basecamp HQ), but the role also incorporates travel across Yorkshire and the Lake District

The Role
Programme Manager (~35% of the role) – We are looking for an enthusiastic and capable Programme Manager who can lead the delivery of our Core Programme, having the ability to directly work with young people, lead a team, have an acute eye for detail and organisation and a creative, dynamic approach to problem-solving. The Programme Manager role takes up around 80 days a year, with the days being weighted unevenly across the months of the year.
Events Coordinator (~65% of the role) – We are looking for a driven and creative Events Coordinator who will help us create a Basecamp calendar of external events, which will support our fundraising goals and bring a large and diverse audience to our work. The right candidate will be excited at the prospect of turning ideas into a reality, supporting us with the creative development of this idea as well as the practical implementation.
Programme Manager Roles and Responsibilities
Acting as the key point of contact to organise, deliver and oversee the Basecamp Core Programme to 1 cohort of young people, including managing residential trips, school workshops and other supporting sessions throughout the year’s programme (e.g. Taster Days, Graduation etc) (September - June).
This includes:
Onboarding young people onto the programme, working in collaboration with schools to ensure our referral criteria are met and we have the information we need.
Facilitating creative, arts and games-based workshops in school.
Supporting day-to-day administration and management of the programme including maintaining a database and producing written communications and reports.
Coordinating Adventure Youth Coaches, Volunteers, Instructors and School Supporting Staff on residential, as the main point of contact.
Managing disciplinary action as required if a situation is escalated higher than Adventure Youth Coaches or Volunteers.
Ensuring the highest standards of support, safety and safeguarding across the programme, in line with Basecamp’s ethos, policies and procedures.
Providing ongoing feedback to young people, parents, carers and schools, through email, Whatsapp and handwritten cards.
Working with partner organisation such as schools and instructors/activity providers, to ensure the Basecamp mission is consistent and everybody has the smoothest experience possible and to build the Basecamp ‘brand’ to an extent that the schools want to keep working with us and value the work that we do.
Contributing to organisational planning and development, including supporting the development of further opportunities for young people.
Events Coordinator Roles and Responsibilities
Supporting our team to create, develop, test and implement a calendar of Basecamp events including third-party challenge events, Basecamp events and bespoke corporate adventure challenges. This calendar will support the building of both our new corporate partnerships programme, an innovative new take on traditional corporate fundraising as well as getting our brand-new Basecamp Community off the ground, our own version of an individual giving initiative.
This includes:
Undertaking prospect research to identify corporate partners who we can build long-lasting, meaningful relationships with.
Identifying key networking opportunities to help us raise our profile in West Yorkshire.
Supporting us to develop our pitch to prospective corporate partners, creating bespoke partnerships which demonstrate our ethos, culture and impact.
Supporting the development of our new Basecamp Community initiative, creating the necessary comms and finding interactive ways to get members involved and feel a part of the community.
Supporting the implementation of systems and protocols that will allow us to effectively manage logistics, budgeting, risk assessments, and delivery on the ground, establishing new supplier partnerships in the process.
Developing relationships with flagship event providers, maximising engagement with creative and far-reaching communication initiatives and providing supportive inspiring stewarding journeys for all involved.
Working collaboratively across fundraising and comms ensuring we maximise the effectiveness of each event and that they are supporting our other fundraising initiatives.
Person Specification
The postholder will play a key role in the development and delivery of both programme and charity events. They will be a brilliant ‘all-rounder’ who can go from speaking to a group of 30 children in a muddy field, to being comfortable behind a laptop researching potential corporate partners, to feeling confident in creative meetings where our ideas become a reality. We are looking for someone with a strong creative drive, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the natural ability to use initiative. Whilst ticking the experience requirement boxes is important to us, we will always take a holistic view of your application and consider transferable experience.
Demonstrated experience working with disadvantaged or vulnerable young people with empathy and compassion

Each year, almost 1,000 people take part in a Youth Adventure Challenge Event. We are looking for a dynamic Events Fundraising Officer to help recruit and support our fundraisers, assist with the organisation of events and help us to develop this significant income stream.
Working alongside the Challenge Events Manager, the Events Fundraising Officer is instrumental in every step of delivering well-managed, fun and safe events for our corporate partners and event participants, as well as ensuring the fundraising success of each event.
Excellent communication and people skills will be essential as you will play a key role in building up relationships with the clients, the participants and their supporters. Furthermore, you will be involved in the whole process of event organisation, including developing the event, preparing the resources, helping with logistics, maintaining accurate records, reporting and banking and thanking.
The Fundraising Officer must be self-motivated, well organised, able to multi-task, a strong administrator, a fantastic team player, have excellent inter-personal skills and enjoy being outdoors. Paid or voluntary experience in a fundraising environment is essential. Whilst the role is home-based you must live in the South West to ensure easy access for in-person meetings.

The Raspberry Pi Foundation is looking to appoint a senior fundraising and development professional to support our ambitious, global mission to democratise computing and AI education for all young people.
Reporting to the Vice President for Global Development, and working closely with the Chief Executive and other members of the leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and expanding partnerships with corporates, foundations, and individual high net worth donors.
