Overview

Barts Health NHS Trust provides maternity and neonatal care for women and birthing people and their babies each year, providing all aspects of obstetrics and midwifery care in our labour ward, midwife-led birth centre and home birthing service.

North-East London (NEL) (Newham, Tower Hamlets, Waltham Forest) Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership (MNVP) listens to the experiences of women, birthing people and families, and brings together service users, staff and other stakeholders to plan, review and improve maternity and neonatal care. MNVPs ensure that service users’ voices are at the heart of decision-making in maternity and neonatal services by being embedded within the leadership of provider trusts and feeding into the Local Maternity and Neonatal System (LMNS) and Integrated Care Board. This influences improvements in the safety, quality, and experience of maternity and neonatal care. We work to ensure that every woman and birthing person on the maternity and neonatal pathway has a chance to have their voice heard. We do not speak for them.

We are recruiting a Maternity Lead for Tower Hamlets, who brings the expertise of women/birthing people with lived experience of maternity services at Barts Health NHS Trust into the heart of the development of every aspect of maternity and neonatal services at the trust.

The role of Maternity Voices Partnership (MVP) Lead is key to providing inclusive and collaborative leadership and ways of working, ensuring that all women and birthing people and their families’ views are heard and acted on. This is an exciting opportunity to review, shape and improve services and make a real difference to women, birthing people and their families.

This is a paid, self-employed job requiring 1.5 days per week (worked flexibly where possible). Working with the MNVP is an opportunity to become part of a vibrant team, improving care for our service users and enabling voices and engagement with our community.

The membership of the MNVP includes:

● Women, birthing people and families from a diverse range of backgrounds.

● Members of the wider community such as birth workers and charities specialising in mental health, supporting refugees, etc.

● Nurses, midwives, health visitors, doctors and managers.

This is a self-employed position on a fixed-term contract until March 2027. The successful candidate will not be entitled to employee benefits such as pension, sick pay, or holiday pay.

As a self-employed contractor, you are responsible for managing your own tax and National Insurance contributions. You will be required to invoice the organisation for your work at the end of each calendar month, and payment will be made within 21 days of receipt of a monthly invoice.

Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. We have embarked on our 10-year strategy for ending homelessness. We know it is not inevitable. We know together we can end it.

Crisis Skylight Merseyside offer direct services to people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Alongside our frontline service offer, we develop and lead strategy and partnership projects to deliver positive change for homeless people in Merseyside.

Hours: 35 per week between the hours of 8.30am – 5pm

Salary: £38,645 per annum

About the role

As a Coach Lead Worker in the Coaching team, you will play a key role in supporting individuals that are homeless or at risk of homelessness. You will work with people who have varying levels of engagement with the service: some will work with you in a more planned and structured way, and some are in more complex situations and will require support from other agencies.

As a Lead Worker you will:

• Support members to develop and follow a personalised plan to end their homelessness sustainably.
• Empower and upskill members to be proactive in their accommodation search and access other relevant support services to meet their needs.
• Provide support with practical aspects of their route out of homeless, including access to housing, benefits, and other relevant needs.
• Lead Work a caseload and provide effective case management in line with the Crisis Case Management Framework.

The key to success will be your ability to make collaborative, consistent and psychologically informed relationships with members, services, colleagues, and partner organisations.

Skills, knowledge, and experience vital to succeeding in this role:

• Passionate about and dedicated to ending homelessness sustainably.

• Comprehensive understanding and experience of accessing housing via private rented sector, local authorities, housing associations, supported providers and others.  

• Good knowledge of issues affecting homeless people, including housing, welfare issues, trauma, substance use, involvement in criminal justice services, and social isolation 

• Proven track record of successfully using coaching, IAG or psychologically informed approaches with people who have experienced homelessness. 

• Ability to manage successful relationships with external agencies and relevant service providers and successfully advocate on members behalf.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills used to ensure accurate record keeping on a variety of Case Management Systems/Databases.
• Flexible and adaptable to change. 

• Strong team player, able to use own initiative and reflect on your own practice.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Individual Giving Manager to lead the development and delivery of our supporter acquisition and retention strategies. This is a full time, permanent role working on a hybrid basis with 2 days per week in our London office.

This is a varied and hands-on role where you will lead multi-channel campaigns with a focus on new product development and supporter journeys, driving supporter growth, income and lifetime value.

The Individual Giving & Legacies team is a key driver of voluntary income at Sense. We are an ambitious and growing team, focused on increasing supporter engagement and long-term income. Key Responsibilities

This Senior Philanthropy Manager (Trusts & Foundations) role will be responsible for securing and stewarding significant philanthropic gifts working in partnership with senior stakeholders of the University. They will use their fundraising experience and communication skills to secure philanthropic gifts at the £50k to £5mil level from Trusts & Foundations (T&Fs), working in partnership with senior stakeholders on their fundraising efforts, and championing the work and priorities of King’s College London.

The postholder will help to enable the University to deliver world-leading research, education, and societal impact, translating complex academic priorities into compelling funding opportunities for T&Fs in the UK and internationally. They will be part of a team playing a crucial role in the delivery of the University’s ambition to significantly scale philanthropy income, as we prepare to launch our next major fundraising campaign in 2027 and mark the university’s bicentenary in 2029.

The successful candidate will lead on cultivating and stewarding a portfolio of high value T&F prospects and donors, developing long term, strategic relationships that result in philanthropic gifts. Working in close partnership with senior academic and clinical leaders, you will shape and articulate funding propositions that resonate with philanthropic partners and align with King’s institutional and campaign priorities.

Responsibilities include identifying and cultivating new prospects; developing engagement plans; leading on the development of funding proposals; and stewardship of existing donors. This role will suit candidates with experience in raising five and six figure gifts from Trusts and Foundations.

Key Responsibilities

• Actively manage a portfolio of T&F prospects (£50,000+ gift capacity) on behalf of the University
• Ensure that effective cultivation strategies are in place to grow the donor community to KCL’s Faculties and the wider University
• Hold regular face-to-face/virtual donor visits and bring prospects/donors closer to the organisation through meaningful engagement
• Meet an annually agreed set of fundraising KPIs (including number of donor engagements/visits, number of asks made/proposals submitted, and income generated)
• Agree targets and activity plans for fundraising with philanthropy leadership to deliver fundraising targets for fundraising priorities
• Coordinate and manage donor/prospect meetings and briefings with academic/clinical colleagues to ensure that they are run effectively in line with philanthropic objectives
• Lead the development and delivery of the fundraising strategy for assigned priorities and/or Faculties
• Build strong working relationships with senior academic/clinicians, and Faculty leadership to coordinate the cultivation and stewardship of prospective and existing funders, briefing and supporting senior staff to communicate with funders on your behalf
• Provide advice, guidance and constructive feedback to senior stakeholders on major gifts fundraising success and ensure a culture of philanthropy is fostered
• Work collaboratively across Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement in particular with the wider philanthropy team. Work closely with prospect research, advancement writing, events, alumni relations, donor relations and gift implementation teams to develop and enhance philanthropic fundraising opportunities
• Accurately record prospect information in the fundraising database

The Hainault Forest Visitor Centre Assistant is an integral part of the team delivering a welcoming and memorable experience for visitors to Hainault Forest. Working in the Woodland Trust’s visitor centre, the role will assist with retail operations, provide excellent customer service, support various visitor engagement activities, and promote ways that visitors can support our cause - including Woodland Trust membership. This role contributes to enhancing the visitor experience while supporting the Woodland Trust’s mission. Our work at Hainault Forest is delivered in partnership with London Borough of Redbridge and Vision RCL.

The Role:

• Provide a warm, welcoming experience for visitors by sharing information about the forest, facilities, activities, and key site features, and responding to general enquiries.
• Promote the Trust’s membership offer and actively encourage sign-ups as part of the visitor experience.
• Support the delivery of events such as local walks workshops, often with children on an occasional basis.
• Work as part of the Visitor Centre team to manage building operations, including opening and closing procedures, upkeep of shared spaces, and handling financial transactions and cashing up.
• Deliver high-quality retail service, including operating the till efficiently, maintaining the retail area to a high standard, restocking and rotating stock, and ensuring strong visual merchandising.

About the Role

The Medical Sciences Development team works collaboratively with colleagues across the Division and the wider Development and Alumni Engagement team to secure philanthropic support for research priorities across Oxford’s medical sciences community.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to oversee the daily operation of the Mind BLMK Luton Mental Health Prevention and Recovery Service.

Based at our Luton Wellbeing Centre the service provides a range of activities, groups and support opportunities throughout the week, helping people to manage their mental health, build confidence and progress through their own recovery journeys.

The Service Manager role is varied and rewarding, ensuing the smooth running of the service and playing a key role in shaping and enhancing the service to ensure it continues to meet the needs of the local community. Work with the Operational Services Manager to review, design and implement changes to service delivery and working models, ensuring the service meets the needs of the local community, identifying solutions to gaps in provision and seek opportunities to grow the service and maximise the use of the centre premises.

Contribute to the development of the Luton service plan in line with both Mind BLMK priorities and the wider Luton Mental Health Plan and 2040 vision.

We are looking for a passionate, dog welfare and training literate, manager to energise, inspire and lead Chilterns Dog Rescue Society into the future

CDRS is a successful and established dog rehoming charity working from our ‘state of the art’ Rescue Centre near Wendover, Bucks.

Our passionate staff, volunteers and members are striving to make life better for our dogs using their kindness and expertise.

Job Title: Head of Dog Rehoming Charity

Reports to: Board of Trustees

Location: Bromley Heights Rescue Centre HP23 6LD

Salary: £35-40k

Hours: 40 per week on an agreed rota (includes weekends and bank holidays)

Contract type: Permanent, full-time

Responsibilities

Be responsible for all aspects of the Charity - dogs, people, facilities ,compliance and finances

Manage the charity and the skilled staff within it

Optimise the rescue of dogs and maintain the high quality of care currently in place

Drive the marketing, brand awareness and fundraising of the charity

Actively promote high standards of care with the staff and volunteers

Support and co-ordinate the volunteers, foster carers and members

About the team

We have an experienced team of 13 staff in place across the Charity. They are passionate about caring for the dogs and finding suitable loving homes for them in the next stage of their lives.

What we’re looking for

Essential

· A self starter with a  passion for improving the lives of the dogs in our care

· Proven senior leadership experience in a charity, animal welfare, or similar organisation.

· Strong understanding of animal welfare principles and UK legislation affecting rehoming charities.

· Demonstrated ability in strategic planning, team leadership, and financial oversight.

· Successful track record in fundraising, stakeholder engagement, and partnership building.

· Excellent communication, people management, empathy, and decision-making skills.

· Good listening skills and openness to staff proposals, suggestions. Utilisation of existing staff experience and qualifications

· Experience working directly in rescue, veterinary, or kennels environments.

· Knowledge of health and Safety and employment law

Desirable

· Knowledge of marketing, PR, and community engagement strategies.

· Qualification in charity management, business administration, or animal welfare.
