We’re looking for an exceptional Head of Marketing to lead the next chapter of our audience growth and engagement.

Working closely with our Commercial Director, you’ll lead the strategic planning and hands-on delivery of marketing that inspires visitors, grows audiences, supports commercial income and celebrates the Cathedral’s unique story.

Background

HelpAge International is seeking to diversify and grow philanthropic income from trusts and foundations from the US philanthropic markets.

An initial prospect mapping exercise is currently being undertaken by an external consultant, identifying a broad range of potential trusts, foundations, and philanthropic opportunities. HelpAge aims to build on this work through a short-term assignment that combines prospect qualification with active donor outreach and engagement to assess the level of market interest and develop a robust pipeline for future cultivation.

The assignment will also support the organisation in assessing the value of different funding intelligence platforms through the use of free trial subscriptions.

Purpose of the assignment

• Build on the initial prospect research undertaken.
• Qualify and prioritise prospective trusts and foundations.
• Actively engage with prospective donors to test interest and build relationships.
• Identify funding opportunities aligned with HelpAge International's priorities.
• Develop a realistic cultivation pipeline and recommended engagement strategy.
• Assess the value of fundraising databases to support future investment decisions.

Scope of work

Prospect qualification and research

• Review and refine the existing prospect list.
• Undertake further research to assess:
  • strategic fit
  • thematic priorities
  • geographic focus
  • average grant size
  • openness to unsolicited approaches
  • existing grantees and partnership opportunities.

Prospects should be categorised according to priority and likelihood of success.

Active donor outreach and engagement

Proactively engage with selected prospects to assess donor interest and identify potential opportunities.

This includes:

• drafting and sending introductory emails
• seeking warm introductions through existing contacts and networks
• arranging exploratory meetings
• preparing briefing notes and meeting materials
• following up with prospects following meetings or discussions
• identifying opportunities for further cultivation and relationship development

Pipeline development

Develop and maintain a prospect pipeline comprising:

This is an important role in our High Value Fundraising Team, reporting to the Trusts and Grants Manager. The postholder will develop strong funder relationships, create high-quality applications and reports, practice strong stewardship, and practice thorough prospect research to grow their pipeline and maximise long-term support.

• Have a proven track record of securing grants from trusts and foundations or equivalent education/experience in persuasive writing.

About the Role

In all services, Peripatetic workers provide non-judgmental, confidential, and psychologically informed support to survivors of domestic and sexual abuse. Typical activity includes risk assessments, safety planning, and working with survivors to develop individual support plans. Other roles require house management, outreach and health and safety tasks.

Peripatetic workers will work in a variety of roles across Solace’s services, which offers our Peripatetic workers the ability to continually develop their knowledge, casework skills, advocacy skills, multi-agency working, and ability to manage and thrive in a changing environment.

About You

The Peripatetic Team is dynamic you will enter services at short notice to provide a continued high-quality level of support. Our colleagues bring a wide range of transferable skills and different experiences to the team that informs our practice and work with survivors.

You’ll be a passionate advocate who understands the importance of working in a psychologically informed way with both survivors and colleagues, and you will be willing to continuously learn and develop their skills. You have a good understanding of impact that violence against women and girls can have on women with intersecting identities. While prior experience of working with survivors of abuse is desirable, it is not an essential requirement.

Our Peripatetic workers are required to work across London and will move around these boroughs– Barnet, Bexley, Camden, Enfield, Haringey, Islington, Lambeth, Redbridge, Tower Hamlets, Westminster, Waltham Forest and may be on site full time or agile work.

Working patterns are typically Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm however this role includesweekend cover and shift pattern work. Hybrid working may be available in some services, but it is not possible for all.

Purpose of the Fundraising Department

The International Fundraising Department within Greenpeace International (GPI) ensures a clear focus on global income opportunities and challenges in partnership with National and Regional Offices (NROs). The department manages global fundraising sources, contributes to and coordinates global fundraising work, provides strategic focus for GPI fundraising specialists, and provides senior strategic guidance and leadership across the Greenpeace Network. 

Purpose of role

The International Philanthropy Manager is accountable for designing and implementing the Global Fundraising Strategy as it relates to major giving, including strategic partnerships, institutional funders, individual major donors, legacies, and capital campaigns. This role leads the teams behind major global initiatives, including a €100 million capital campaign for a new ship and the Priority Global Funders strategy—while providing strategic leadership, support, and advice to both Greenpeace International and independent National and Regional Organisations (NROs).

Primary responsibilities

Global fundraising strategy

● Lead and manage the design and implementation of the Global Fundraising Strategy as it relates to major giving, including strategic partnerships with institutional funders and individual major donors, legacy, and capital campaigns.

● Accountable for the design and implementation of the Key Relationships area of the Global Fundraising Strategy, including tracking and monitoring the success of its implementation.

● Lead, advise, and support the work done by GPI fundraising staff and NRO leaders in the key relationships area.

● Collaborate across GPI functions and departments to ensure alignment and integration of the Key Relationships Strategy with other organisational objectives, strategies, and plans.

People management

● Lead, manage and develop a multidisciplinary team of fundraising managers and coordinators across various areas of high value fundraising.

● Provide task management and direction to staff from other areas of International Fundraising and across GPI departments who contribute to fundraising deliverables. 

● Drive team performance through objective setting, performance reviews, coaching and development to ensure fundraising objectives are met.

National and Regional Organisation (NROs) support

● Oversee strategic and operational support provided to NROs to build the fundraising capacity and expertise required to deliver ambitious fundraising strategies and goals based on the respective market potential.

● Provide strategic advice and support to NROs for the development of the philanthropy and legacy elements of their 3-Year Strategic Plans and their annual organisational development plans.

● Support NROs in recruiting and onboarding experienced fundraising directors and strategic fundraising roles.

Communities and stakeholders

● Strengthen the fundraising director’s community of practice alongside fellow Strategic Fundraising Managers and the International Fundraising Director to foster a collaborative space for addressing global fundraising challenges and opportunities.

● Facilitate regular exchanges with other key leadership communities (such as Engagement and Programme Leaders) in areas of joint interest. 

● Build strong working relationships with colleagues and internal and external stakeholders to represent Greenpeace’s interests and enable effective cooperation and knowledge-sharing across fundraising areas.

● Foster collaboration with cross-functional departments (such as Development, Technology, Finance and Programme) to co-design and implement highly engaging campaigns with strong fundraising potential and deliver robust proposals for key funders.

Financial, policy, and systems management

● Ensure the effective budgeting, management, and expenditure of internal resources.

● Oversee the budgeting and reconciliation of income from Priority Global Funders, individual major donors, and legacy gifts to GPI. 

● Serve as the product owner for the key relationships CRM.

● Hold responsibility for the development and implementation of global policies related to key relationships fundraising.

● Significant (7 years +) experience in a senior fundraising management role with a focus on philanthropy, of which at least four years leading international teams.

● Experience leading a capital campaign.

The Vacancy

The Membership Operations Officer will provide part-time business-as-usual support to the Membership team, helping the team run smoothly, respond quickly to member and internal enquiries, and maintain clear, accurate and accessible membership information.

The role will support the day-to-day operations of the membership function, with a particular focus on digital and knowledge management, membership inbox coordination, enquiry triage and timely follow-up. Working closely with the Head of Membership, Member Engagement Advisers and colleagues across Start Network, the postholder will help ensure membership systems, records, communications and operational processes are well organised, responsive and useful to staff, members and hubs.

Digital and knowledge management support (40%)

● Maintain organised, accurate and accessible membership information across internal systems, including Box, SharePoint and Salesforce.

● Support colleagues across teams to access up-to-date member information, documents and tools that enable consistent member engagement.

● Coordinate with Communications and relevant hubs to keep membership messaging, website updates and new member announcements accurate and timely.

Membership inbox, coordination and administration (40%)

● Monitor the Membership inbox regularly, ensuring enquiries are acknowledged, triaged and directed to the right person or team in a timely and responsive way.

● Act as the first point of coordination for routine member enquiries, tracking actions and ensuring follow-up is completed or escalated where needed.

● Support day-to-day Membership team coordination, including scheduling meetings, preparing papers, maintaining action logs and keeping shared documents up to date.

● Work with the Membership team, especially the Membership Knowledge Management to support routine membership processes, including annual invoicing and tracking of membership contributions.

Funded entirely by public donations, the charity responds to more than 1,700 incidents each year across both urban and rural communities.

With a new Chief Executive Officer and a refreshed strategic direction, Yorkshire Air Ambulance is entering an important period of development and growth. We are recruiting an Investment Manager to take a leading role across BSC’s client investment mandates, playing a central part in how we mobilise capital at scale to deliver lasting social impact. 

A significant part of this role is supporting the management of BSC's client investment mandates, including the Schroder BSC Social Impact Trust, a listed investment trust for which BSC acts as portfolio manager, giving investors access to private market impact investments addressing some of the UK's most entrenched social issues. By providing expert legal advice, managing risk and supporting strong governance across the Trust, you'll help ensure our programmes, partnerships and fundraising activities can continue to create life-changing opportunities for thousands of young people.

This is a broad and influential in-house role where you'll work closely with colleagues across the organisation, advising on contracts, charity law, data protection, intellectual property and governance matters. You'll be a trusted partner to senior stakeholders, helping them make informed decisions that balance risk, opportunity and impact.

We're keen to hear from qualified solicitors or barristers who may have gained experience in:

• An in-house legal team within the charity, public or commercial sectors
• Private practice, particularly advising charities or not-for-profits
• Contract negotiation (including private and public sector funding agreements), charity law, governance, data protection and/or intellectual property matters

To hit the ground running, you'll be:

• A pragmatic and solutions-focused legal professional
• Confident working independently and managing a varied workload
• Skilled at translating complex legal issues into clear, practical advice
• Comfortable building relationships with stakeholders at all levels
