Role: Engagement Advice Worker – Better Together Service
Location: Lambeth, London (Community-based with flexible working)
Package: Generous Pension (7% Employer Contribution) | 26 Days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays (rising to 31 days) | Kind, Inclusive Culture
Why Join Age UK Lambeth?
At Age UK Lambeth, we believe getting older should be celebrated, not sidelined. We exist to challenge the stigma of ageing, tackle social isolation, and make sure older adults get the right support at the precise moment they need it.
We’re a learning space, not a knowing space, which means we listen, adapt, and build real relationships with our community. If you are passionate about empathy, human connections, and driving meaningful local change, you’ll fit right in.
The Role: What You’ll Be Doing
Gambling-related harm often goes unnoticed, carrying a heavy stigma for those affected—both directly and indirectly (affected others). Through our Better Together service, you will be on the frontline of changing that narrative in Lambeth.
This role is a dynamic blend of proactive community engagement and impactful, one-to-one support.
Community Engagement and System Change
Meet people where they are: Take our message straight into the heart of Lambeth—visiting barbershops, faith groups, sports venues, shopping centres, and local cultural hubs.
Build local alliances: Partner with community leaders, residents, and local organisations to spark open conversations, break down stigma, and drive referrals.
Educate and inspire: Deliver lively presentations, host information sessions, and help run conferences to train local professionals and raise public awareness while helping to normalise conversations about gambling harms so they are easier to recognise, prevent, and seek support for.
Personalised, Strengths-Based Support
Provide 1:1 tailored advice: Work directly with adults impacted by gambling harm to identify their strengths, set personal goals, and rebuild their wellbeing.
Offer holistic social prescribing support: Guide clients toward specialist care (such as the NHS Primary Care Gambling Service) while helping them navigate connected challenges like housing, debt, loneliness, and mental health.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
Outreach Expertise: Proven experience stepping out into the community, running outreach activities, and speaking confidently to audiences of all sizes.
Relationship Building: Natural networking skills with a knack for establishing trust with community groups, residents, and multi-agency partners.
Caseload Management: The ability to work independently, manage shifting priorities, and adapt seamlessly as our service grows.
Clear Communication: Warm, engaging interpersonal skills paired with clean, accurate record-keeping.
Empathy & Drive: A genuine commitment to person-centered support and outcome-focused work.
Energy & Enthusiasm: Bring warmth, energy, and a positive spark to every interaction, making conversations engaging, memorable, and impactful.
Please don’t worry if you do not have experience working with those affected by gambling, Age UK Lambeth will provide full training including Level 2 under the “Don’t Gamble With Health” programme.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
Strong Financial Support: Generous pension plan with a 7% employer contribution.
Work-Life Balance: 26 days of annual leave (plus public holidays), increasing to 31 days after 5 years.
A Culture That Cares: Join a supportive, warm team that puts kindness and flexibility at the core of everything we do.

The Mental Health Foundation is recruiting for a CRM Officer to support the CRM team in our London office.

Location: London
Salary: Starting salary £32,604 rising to £36,796, plus London weighting of £4,000
Hours: Full time (32 hours per week)
Contract type: This is a fixed term role for 12 months
This exciting role will support the CRM team with data processes in our Beacon CRM fundraising database, as we look to integrate and automate more of our systems and processes. High-quality data will enable us to develop stronger relationships with our supporters, retention and maximise lifetime value working in an agile way.
What does the role involve?
Why is this position on a fixed term contract?
Having this CRM Officer role in post for a year will support the ongoing business as usual data processes, whilst increasing capacity in the team to support efforts to increase the amount of automation of processes and integration between systems. This will ultimately reduce our reliance on manual data processes, reducing the volume of day to day data transfer, which should lead to a reduction of required capacity with the CRM team beyond the term of this contract.
What skills, knowledge and experience are we looking for?
Safeguarding is Everyone’s business – Mental Health Foundation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all its beneficiaries, those who surround them, its staff, volunteers, and anyone else who comes into contact with its services and expects all trustees, staff, and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be subject to appropriate vetting procedures (proof of eligibility to work in the UK, proof of residency and satisfactory employment screening, including a Disclosure check and two most recent references) along with 3-year renewals of Disclosure checks. We are unable to provide sponsorship for this post, you must be able to demonstrate your eligibility to work in the UK.
How to apply
If you think your skills match and you’d like to be part of a dynamic and growing organisation, please complete and submit your application below. Please ensure you attach an up-to-date CV and statement of suitability answering all points of the person specification. Applications will close at 9pm on Wednesday 2nd September and we are unable to accept late applications. Interviews are planned for w/c 14th September.
We believe our people should represent the communities, organisations and individuals we work with. Diversity and inclusion is a strategic priority for us as an employer and mental health charity, and we are proud to be signatories of the Business in the Community Race at Work Charter and the Disability Confident Committed Scheme. Applications from under-represented sections of the community are actively encouraged.
If you have a disability, require any additional support or have any questions regarding the role, please contact us. We make reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process and during employment. Disabled candidates who meet all the essential person specification criteria will be offered an interview. Therefore, please do ensure you tick the relevant box on the application form and clearly indicate in your application/covering letter if you consider yourself to meet the requirements of the Equality Act 2010 / Disability Discrimination Act 1995.
We are currently operating mostly digital recruitment (including interviews via video conferencing). We operate a hybrid working model of a minimum of 2 days per week in the office and the rest working from home.
We look forward to hearing from you!

We are seeking a self-motivated Member Support and Administrative Assistant to play a key role in our friendly team. The successful candidate will liaise with colleagues across the organisation focused on membership, communications, marketing and delivery, and as a result get invaluable insight into these functions. Once established in post the successful candidate will also benefit from our nine-day fortnight working pattern (providing a long weekend twice a month).
Background Information
PSHE (personal, social, health and economic) education is the school curriculum subject that prepares pupils for life and work. PSHE lessons cover some of the most pressing issues facing young people today including mental and physical health, relationships, staying safe online, economic wellbeing, careers and the importance of equality and diversity.
The PSHE Association is the national body for the subject. A charity and membership organisation, the Association supports a national network of over 50,000 teachers and schools with resources, training and guidance. We work nationally to raise PSHE standards for all children and raise its status on the curriculum. This includes working in partnership with a range of leading charities, government bodies, corporates and other partners. At the PSHE Association, we believe in a healthy work-life balance. That is why we offer a nine-day fortnight working pattern, giving our team every other Friday off (in other words a long weekend twice a month). We believe this gives employees more time to recharge and more time for what matters to them. This shorter working week benefit (equivalent to 32 hours per week on full pay) kicks in once employees have successfully completed three months of their probationary period, with a standard 35-hour working week in place up until that point.
Our offices are based in central London, close to Russell Square, and this is where the role will be primarily based alongside some days of the week working from home.
How to apply
To apply please send a CV and covering letter using Charity Job by Monday 7th September at 9AM.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a first round interview on Thursday 17th September on Zoom. There will also potentially be a second round interview held face to face on the week of Monday 21st September in our London office.

Help transform mental health support in Sutton while building something truly special.
Use your fundraising talent to make a lasting difference to thousands of local people and help shape the future of a pioneering mental health charity.
Part-time Community based Fundraising Manager 2 days pw
Salary £35k pro rata
About us
For nearly 30 years Sutton Mental Health Foundation has been a refuge for people in Sutton, Surrey, whose mental health has had an impact on their lives. Over this time, the Foundation has helped thousands of people navigate their way through their mental health challenges and in 2025 we saw an 18% increase in demand for our services.
From our unique and pioneering centre in the London Borough of Sutton, we provide a wide array of services aimed at promoting mental wellbeing, resilience and recovery from mental distress and ultimately, keeping people safe. Sutton Mental Health Foundation provides a place where people can feel safe and supported in tackling their mental health challenges and we provide these services 365 days a year.
Our crucial work
The Foundation is a hidden gem of innovation, with a pioneering ‘Intentional Peer Support’ approach at its heart, which trains former and current service users to provide support to individuals facing similar mental health challenges to those they have faced themselves. The first contact from local people experiencing severe anxiety or distress often comes through telephone calls or through our Crisis Café, which operates every evening in person from 6.30pm to 11.00 pm, 365 days a year, and on the phone or on- line at other times. This is where people can receive support and learn about the range of support options the Foundation provides.
Our counselling service can help local people tackle a wide range of issues affecting their mental health.
Our Belmont Connect service is a place to socialise, meet new people and receive support in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. You can also join one of our classes or drop-in sessions. These may be art-based, music-themed, or centred around activities such as gardening. We aim to offer a range of weekly activities that cater to different interests and encourage social connection and wellbeing. In the winter our In Your Corner Sunday service offers lunches from midday onwards, and we have year round specialist support sessions such as the Sutton Hearing Voices Group, which help individuals explore different ways to deal with hearing voices.
We have been very successful in securing funding for our work from the local authority and from our local NHS Trust, but we have now reached a point where we want to raise new funds to innovate and expand our services, hence creating this new role of Community Fundraising Manager.

Why work with us?
Every man needs to know about the most common cancer in men – prostate cancer. It’s a real and present danger that takes over 12,000 of our dads, grandads, brothers and friends each year.
Prostate Cancer UK is the largest men’s health charity in the UK. We have a simple ambition – to stop prostate cancer damaging lives. We invest millions in research to revolutionise testing, treatment and care. We’re blazing a trail to a screening programme that could save thousands of lives with regular, accurate tests for all men at risk. And we work tirelessly to spread the word about risk and offer specialist support to people living with the disease.
Work with us and you’ll see your efforts pay off as we give men and their families the power to navigate prostate cancer.
Our commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion
At Prostate Cancer UK we’re committed to righting health inequalities across the UK, starting with those faced by Black men. This includes ground-breaking research into Black men's risk and working with communities directly to overcome barriers to the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer. To make this happen, we're dedicated to being an inclusive, proactive organisation, as we strive to be Allies to Black communities. We’ll achieve this by advocating and working alongside those communities to promote change. We're also working to be Allies to each other, not only protected groups. In 2024, we launched our New Allyship Training Programme. All colleagues at Prostate Cancer UK will be trained to act and identify as an Ally.
We've also signed Business in the Communities Race at Work Charter, as a dedication to our Black health equity work and wider EDI priorities. As a signatory, we're responsible and accountable for driving positive change.

Colleagues attend the office at least four days per month (pro rata for part-time colleagues) to collaborate, build relationships, and support projects and decision-making. You can choose where to work the rest of the time. Travel to the office is a commute, so we pay our own travel costs.
Additional in-person attendance will be required during your first few months for induction and training, to support you to learn the role and get to know colleagues.
We trust colleagues to work flexibly while balancing personal commitments with the needs of the charity, and we are committed to making reasonable adjustments for colleagues with a disability, neurodiversity, or a long-term physical or mental health condition.
