At Ambitious about Autism, we're currently looking for a People Advisor to join our team.
You'll support managers and staff with advice on ways of working, implementation of employment policies and enabling effective people management across AaA through supporting employee relations case work. You'll also ensure that all variations to contracts impacting terms and conditions of employment and pay are written accurately.
You'll support managers with absence/health issues, including making occupational health referrals as required, and following up and assisting through the capability process. You'll prepare HR related documentation and support administration, ensuring records are kept securely, confidentially and up to date.
We are looking for some someone who has:
- A CIPD qualification/currently studying towards a CIPD qualification or demonstrable equivalent ER experience.
- Demonstrable experience providing advice to managers and staff on HR related matters.
- Strong knowledge of ER case work, current employment law and HR best practice.
- Ability to build strong relationships with multiple stakeholders with an ability to be sensitive, diplomatic and tactful when required.

The Role: Finance Manager
As Finance Manager, you will be at the heart of Reading Students’ Union’s Finance team, providing senior operational leadership and expert financial support to ensure the Union operates efficiently, transparently, and in line with its charitable purpose, values, and legal obligations.
You will be the trusted expert on the Union’s finances. You will be overseeing management accounts, statutory accounts, payroll, and financial systems and will be a key business partner to senior leaders, budget holders, and elected student officers. Working closely with the Director of Finance, you will help build a strong culture of effective financial management across both charitable and commercial activities, ensuring financial decisions always reflect our mission, vision, values, and ethics.

What you’ll do:
Financial Reporting & Data-Driven Insight
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all key financial reports to support informed decision-making.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and annual final accounts.
- Design, maintain, and analyse KPI reports to monitor financial health and operational efficiency.
- Respond promptly and accurately to requests for financial data and insights, including Board reports.
Financial Planning & Business Partnering
- Collaborate with the Director of Finance to develop and implement long-term financial planning aligned with strategic objectives.
- Act as a trusted partner for commercial strategy, providing insights on income generation and subsidiary operations.
- Support annual budgeting and reforecasting processes, ensuring robust financial oversight.
Operational Finance Management
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including invoice processing, payment runs, journal preparation, and reconciliations.
- Manage cash flow and reserves to ensure financial stability.
- Maintain aged debtor and creditor records and reconcile balance sheet accounts (prepayments, accruals, PAYE, NIC, payroll control).
Systems, Controls & Compliance
- Control the operation of the SU’s accounting system and ensure completion of month-end and year-end procedures.
- Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Develop and maintain accessible financial procedures aligned with best practice and audit recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with financial legislation, governance frameworks, and statutory reporting requirements (VAT returns, Charity Commission, Companies House, HMRC).
Risk, Governance & Assurance
- Maintain an accurate and live risk register in collaboration with the Director of Finance.
- Implement robust internal financial controls across the organisation.
- Support the Finance & Risk Committee and ensure adequate insurance coverage and asset management.
- Work confidently within governance frameworks, providing assurance to senior leaders and Trustees.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Line-manage the Finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
- Provide training and guidance on financial processes and best practices.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, including auditors and insurers.
About You
Essential
- AAT qualified or part‑qualified accountant (or willing to work towards).
- Significant experience as a Finance Manager or in a senior finance role.
- Advanced Excel skills (creating data, analysing data, manipulating data)
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.

For 50 years, Kidney Care UK has been at the forefront of supporting people with kidney disease. Our #BloodyAmazingKidneys campaign has reached more than 6 million people and 294,000 of those have taken our digital kidney health checker.
We’re building partnerships with leading companies across the UK, raising the profile of kidney disease and working with them to make sure that their customer service teams understand the needs of kidney patients throughout the country, working with them to make sure that kidney patients are top priority for their vulnerable customer teams. We’re working with global pharmaceutical companies developing world class patient information and advice. And we want to identify more companies in different sectors who are passionate about supporting people with kidney disease, which is why we are expanding our Corporate Partnerships team.
The charity is set to build on this success and aims to continue this growth, so that we can reach more kidney patients and their families, providing critical support at a time when it is needed now more than ever.
About the role
The Corporate Partnerships Officer will play a key role in this growth, managing and securing new corporate partnerships with support from the Corporate Partnerships Manager. Our corporate partnership income has grown from zero in 2020 to c£2.3 million in 2025. It is a very exciting time to be joining the charity and our Fundraising team.
Primarily, you will be responsible for managing your own portfolio of corporate partnerships, growing strong relationships, delivering partnership activities, and proactively securing new corporate partnerships, including charity of the year relationships. You'll further support the Corporate Partnership Manager and Director of Fundraising, Marketing and Communications as needed with key activities within larger partnerships, developing a well rounded understanding of how Kidney Care UK works in partnership.
You will also work closely with the Events, Marketing & Communications teams to promote and support all opportunities to drive corporate income growth ensuring strong collaboration.
Key duties will include;
- Managing relationships with key contacts,
- Delivering partnership activities such as renal unit visits or training presentations to key staff,
- Delivering informative annual reports,
- Proactively secure and onboard new partnerships within your target area.
You will do this by stewarding the significant number of existing relationships and partnerships we already hold and maximising any opportunities that exist. Alongside this, you'll be working with the Corporate Partnership Manager to manage a personal goal of generating new partnerships through proactive engagement to and through our supporters, beneficiaries, networks, and contacts.
The right candidate will have a proven record of building strong and rewarding relationships, and confidence in managing and building these relationships autonomously. You will be a driven and enthusiastic fundraiser with experience of cultivating new relationships across a range of businesses and sectors and a willingness to learn and develop your skills.

Outline of Role
As RCF enters this exciting stage, there is huge demand for our support in a wide range of global contexts, and our key challenge is to ensure we have robust institutional capacity - systems and procedures - to attract and effectively administer growing levels of investment.

Our Second Home (OSH) is the UK’s youth movement for people with refugee backgrounds. We support young people to build community, become leaders, and flourish into adulthood in the place they call home.
Each year, hundreds of young people from dozens of countries and living in London & Bristol take part in our residential programmes, leadership training and youth hubs. Our residentials are often the first step – immersive, relationship-rich spaces where young people connect, reflect and begin to see themselves as leaders. From there, many move into leadership training and take on volunteer roles within the movement.
Our work is youth-led and rooted in lived experience. We are now implementing our 2025–2028 strategy, focused on strengthening quality, embedding learning and ensuring our growth is sustainable and safe.
