We work with more than 90% of mental health service providers in the UK and focus on four key areas: quality networks, accreditation, national clinical audits, and research and evaluation.

Cranstoun is an independent charity and leading provider of specialist treatment, harm reduction and recovery services to those affected by drug and alcohol use. This is an exciting opportunity to become a Key Worker within our high performing psychosocial drug and alcohol service in HMP Birmingham. 

We provide a range of services for those affected by drugs and alcohol. Our skilled and compassionate team work closely with people who use our services to change and save lives. We combine proven expertise in treatment and recovery with innovative approaches and actively involve those we help in improving the design of the services we provide. 

You will be based in our psychosocial team working with adult males (over 18 years old). You will be responsible for delivering a range of elements of our substance use work including case management, assessments, care planning, the delivery of one-to-one interventions to include harm reduction and motivational work, group work, and engagement support as well as other associated duties. You need to be committed to supporting people who use our services to make positive changes to prepare them for release into the community, and you will arrange continuity of care. You will work in collaboration with the clinical team and integrated working is a key element of this role. You will work within the prison setting and contribute towards the wider prison drug strategy.

Having experience of supporting people with complex health needs including substance use, you will bring knowledge and commitment to deliver drug and alcohol treatment. You will have a non-judgemental attitude and a desire to support the lives of people who use our services to be healthier and safer by delivering a high-quality service. 

Experience of working with drug and alcohol use is essential. You will be a competent communicator, with the ability to work independently and be comfortable and enthusiastic, both with the highlighted client group and working in partnership with other service providers. Previous experience or knowledge of working with individuals on opiate replacement treatment, and/or involved in the criminal justice system will be advantageous.

The Role

The Receptionist serves as the primary point of contact for staff and visitors, ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience through face-to-face interactions and telephone communications. Are you an experienced Finance Officer with strong income reconciliation skills and experience working with CRM or membership systems?

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established professional membership organisation for a Finance Officer to join their collaborative finance team during an exciting period of systems transformation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with financial data, investigating discrepancies, improving processes and taking ownership of reconciliations.
The organisation supports a large membership base and manages significant volumes of subscription and fee income, making this an ideal opportunity for someone with experience in membership, subscription or recurring income environments.

The Role

This position is predominantly focused on income accounting (70%), with a smaller purchase ledger/accounts payable element (30%).
Working closely with the Finance Leadership team, you will be responsible for managing high-volume income transactions, reconciling data across finance and CRM systems, investigating anomalies and supporting the organisation through a major CRM migration project. This is a hands-on role that would suit someone who is confident working independently, interrogating data, investigating discrepancies and identifying practical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Reconcile income across bank accounts, CRM and finance systems.
• Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies.
• Process membership and subscription income.
• Manage direct debit collections, refunds and income allocations.
• Extract, analyse and interrogate CRM data and financial reports.
• Support the migration to a new CRM system.
• Process supplier invoices and support purchase ledger activities.

About You


You will be someone who enjoys working with large volumes of data and can confidently investigate issues, identify trends and propose improvements.
Experience dealing with membership fees, subscriptions, deferred income or similar recurring income streams would be highly advantageous.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong experience within an income-focused finance role.
• Significant experience of high-volume bank reconciliations and income reconciliations.
• Experience working with CRM, membership or customer database systems.
• Experience extracting, analysing and interrogating financial data.
• Experience reconciling transactions across multiple systems.
• Sage experience is essential.
• Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.

As Outreach Officer, you will work with a diverse and supportive team to strengthen access to Selce’s energy advice services across Greenwich, Lewisham, Bromley and Bexley. You will plan, deliver and adapt outreach activity that engages voluntary sector organisations, frontline workers and residents who are in, or at risk of, fuel poverty. This will include workshops, pop-up events, community publicity and the development of strong referral networks across South East London

The Role:

· Work closely with the Energy Advice and Outreach teams to deliver a joined-up approach to community engagement.

· Plan, organise and deliver energy advice workshops, pop-up stalls, energy cafés and other community-based events.

· Build and maintain strong referral pathways with voluntary, community and public sector organisations, and train frontline workers to identify and refer residents who may benefit from Selce’s support.

· Develop positive partnerships with community centres, local organisations and other stakeholders to reach residents who are in, or at risk of, fuel poverty.

· Keep local organisations and residents informed about Selce’s services through newsletters, direct contact and community-level publicity.

· Maintain constructive relationships with funders, partners and key stakeholders, representing Selce professionally at public-facing events.

· Carry out other duties within the scope of the role and support wider organisational priorities where required.

Person specification

Essential skills, experience and qualities

· Experience of community engagement, outreach, participation or partnership work, ideally with voluntary, community or public sector organisations.

· Confidence delivering workshops, presentations, pop-up stalls or other public-facing activities for a range of audiences.

· Ability to build trusted relationships with community organisations, frontline workers, residents and local partners.

· Understanding of the barriers that can prevent people from accessing advice or support, particularly people experiencing fuel poverty, financial pressure or other forms of disadvantage.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt messages for residents, partner organisations and frontline workers.

· Good organisational skills, including the ability to plan events, coordinate activity, keep accurate records and follow up referrals or partnership actions.

· Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also managing your own workload and priorities.

· A flexible, positive and practical approach to solving problems and responding to changing project needs.

· Good attention to detail and understanding of confidentiality, data protection and consent when working with residents, partners and publicity materials.

· Confident user of Microsoft Office and willing to learn new digital systems used for service delivery, monitoring and reporting.

· Commitment to Selce’s aims of tackling fuel poverty, reducing inequality and supporting a fairer, greener energy system.

Desirable skills, experience and knowledge

· Knowledge of domestic energy efficiency, fuel poverty, retrofit, community energy or related advice services.

· Experience giving energy advice or supporting residents with energy, housing, financial inclusion, welfare or cost-of-living issues.

· An energy advice qualification, such as NEA Level 3, or willingness to work towards relevant accreditation.

· Experience using CRM systems or similar tools to record referrals, monitor activity and support project reporting.

· Experience producing newsletters, social media content, flyers or other communications to promote services and engage communities.

· Experience coordinating volunteers, community champions or peer-led outreach activity.

· Good influencing or negotiation skills, with the ability to work constructively with funders, partners and other stakeholders.

· Ability to communicate in another community language spoken locally.

About South East London Community Energy

South East London Community Energy (Selce) was founded in 2014 by people in Greenwich and Lewisham who wanted to help create a clean, fair and affordable energy future.

Over the past decade, we have developed projects that tackle inequality, reduce carbon emissions and support communities at different points in the energy system.

To date, we have built 12 solar arrays on community buildings in South East London and helped 11 buildings improve the efficiency of their lighting systems. We are also developing new share offers to support further lighting upgrades and solar installations on community buildings.

About Our Energy Advice Services

Almost one in ten households cannot afford to heat their homes adequately. Our energy advice team provides practical, impartial support to households struggling with fuel bills. This includes advice on reducing energy costs, accessing discounts and grants, changing energy use, fitting small energy-saving measures such as low-energy light bulbs and draught proofing, and securing funded home improvements such as loft or cavity wall insulation and heating upgrades.

We are recruiting a Head of Communications to join our Senior Leadership Team to lead the charity’s communications work, ensuring that the charity’s ambitious growth plan is supported by exceptional strategic communications that engages our key stakeholders and builds support for the charity’s work, particularly with funders and university partners.

This is a senior position and will involve close work with the charity’s senior managers, trustees and high-profile stakeholders. This is both a strategic and hands-on role, ranging from having senior oversight of the charity’s communications strategy, through to rolling your sleeves up to work with the team to meet a tight deadline.

We are a delivery organisation providing frontline educational services for young people. Our Head Office team is based on the site of our North Kensington centre in West London. We are an organisation with team members at different stages of their career, including many in their first roles: we are committed to nurturing talent and providing a developmental culture for all. Role is mainly office-based, with the opportunity to work from home one day per week.

The in-person time will mainly be in the office with other members of the team, but will also include regularly attending meetings at other locations - for example, attending events or meeting stakeholders at IntoUniversity centres.

£55,000 to £60,000 per annum pro rata (incl. £2,800 London contribution) Pro-rated salary for 30 hours p/w (0.8 FTE) is £44,000 to £48,000 per annum.

Annual Leave
