MYcommunity Lambeth works in partnership with a large number of statutory and community services and organisations across the borough. One25 services have been developed to meet women at their point of need, with love and practical support. We do this through our night outreach service which is a lifeline for nearly 135 women on Bristol’s streets. Our specialist caseworkers offer intensive one-to-one care in any area of need: from support in court to finding somewhere safe to live. We exist to change the odds stacked against Black people by embedding race equity into systemic change so that thriving is not the exception but the norm.
Black Thrive Global evolved from the work of the Black Thrive Lambeth Partnership, which was established in 2016 to address the inequalities that negatively impact the mental health and wellbeing of Black people in Lambeth. Black people’s cumulative exposure to negative experiences and poor outcomes are not unique to Lambeth and Black Thrive Global was founded in 2020 to address the detrimental outcomes for Black people of African and Caribbean descent wherever they may be located.
Our work covers all life stages – children and young people, working age adults and older adults. Our guiding principle is to centre the lived experiences of Black communities in all that we do, and our strategic priorities are to embed race equity in systems change and to decolonise the evidence landscape.
The Thriving Futures Scaling Systems Change programme will involve scaling what we have tested and learned locally in Lambeth, Haringey, and Birmingham to achieve UK-wide impact through Black Thrive Global, with the ambition to extend our work into Wales and Scotland.
Role Description
The Leadership Academy Coordinator will play a key role in the planning, coordination, and delivery of the Leadership Academy, a programme designed to equip participants with the skills, confidence, and knowledge to engage with systems, drive change, and develop as inclusive, multi-skilled leaders, with a strong emphasis on valuing lived experience.
The Academy will bring together learning and development opportunities across a range of areas, including the Patient and Carer Race Equality Framework (PCREF), system navigation, community-led research, and leadership development approaches. Through this programme, grassroots community groups, people with lived experience, and system leaders will be supported to strengthen their leadership capabilities and contribute to anti-racist system change.
The postholder will be responsible for coordinating the development and delivery of the Leadership Academy, working collaboratively with Black Thrive localities, internal teams, people with lived experience, and external specialists to shape and deliver a high-quality learning offer.
Acting as the central point of coordination for the Academy, the postholder will oversee programme planning, stakeholder engagement, curriculum development processes, logistics, and delivery timelines. They will bring together contributions from multiple workstreams and partners, ensuring that content is aligned, relevant, and delivered effectively to meet the needs of participants.
The postholder will work closely with facilitators, trainers, and subject matter experts to coordinate sessions and learning activities, while ensuring effective quality assurance, participant engagement, monitoring, and evaluation. Responsibilities will include managing programme schedules, coordinating communications, tracking participation and outcomes, and maintaining accurate records to support reporting and continuous improvement.
The Leadership Academy Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of the Academy's vision, objectives, and outcomes. The successful candidate will have substantial experience working directly with individuals who present a wide range of support needs, risks, and aspirations for their future. They will be confident in delivering high‑quality casework, including key working, support planning, and risk assessments, with a strong focus on promoting independence and recovery. A solid understanding of issues affecting women experiencing domestic abuse, as well as knowledge of mental health, substance misuse, and the wider social factors impacting service users, is essential.
The role requires someone who is able to work collaboratively with a variety of external agencies, including Social Services, mental health teams, drug and alcohol services, and other community organisations. The candidate must be able to communicate effectively with professionals to ensure that support packages are well‑coordinated and that safeguarding responsibilities are met. A thorough understanding of safeguarding legislation and procedures, including child protection, is fundamental to the role.
The postholder will need strong knowledge of welfare benefits, housing legislation, and the practical steps involved in supporting women to secure and maintain safe accommodation. They must be able to work confidently within service specifications, quality frameworks, and organisational policies, ensuring accurate record‑keeping, case notes, and monitoring reports. Experience using computer‑based systems to record client information is therefore required.

You will support a caseload of 20 – 25 clients to find competitive and sustained employment. Around 20% of referrals will be to assist clients to remain in work if struggling, or return to work, if off sick. with the required administration and compliance.

About You and The Role
The Artist/Producer is responsible for the planning, preparation and delivery of Modern Art Oxford’s early years projects including our co-learning, sensory play project Make Play, holiday workshops and welcome tours and activities for primary schools, charities, and community groups.
Modern Art Oxford’s early years programme recognises and celebrates children, as active participants in our shared society. Established in 2017, Make Play is one of the core strands of our programmes for children aged 6 months to 5 years. It provides a child-led creative space for babies and children to explore, play and learn in a safe and stimulating environment.
The Artist/Producer takes a lead role in developing activities in response to the temporary exhibitions programme, working closely with the Curator Communities, Practice & Participation to ensure a holistic and well-curated offer throughout the year.
Modern Art Oxford’s early years programme engages more than 1,000 children, parents, and carers each year through our regular sessions at the gallery and offsite with local partners.
Key responsibilities
The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years’ experience of working in Early Years education, strong understanding of Early Years pedagogy, child-centred and inclusive practice, experience working with artists, facilitators, or creative practitioners and experience of delivering projects and workshops in art galleries and museums with demonstrable experience of working with diverse materials and media.
They will have confidence managing multiple projects, partnerships, and delivery locations, be self-motivated and collaborative with excellent communication and relationship building skills, good IT, administrative and organisational skills.
The ability to work weekends, knowledge of equality, diversity, and inclusion practices and procedures and a DBS check and training in safeguarding are also required. First Aid training is desirable.

The purpose of the role is to provide tailored advocacy, advice and support to individuals and families struggling with debts, and provide them with help to overcome and prevent them from falling into similar situations again. This is a local service, working with communities within Brighton & Hove.
The successful candidate must have the required specialist debt advice accreditation, or be willing to work towards this. Trained advisers will ideally have experience of a MaPS debt project and have completed training to caseworker level. This is a full time role, but part time hours could be considered for the right candidate.
