Position

This is a newly created role leading Lumos’ AI, data, and technology agenda. You will shape our digital direction while ensuring systems, data, and tools are secure, effective, and aligned with organisational growth.

Working closely with our outsourced IT provider (who manages day-to-day operations), you will provide strategic oversight, governance, and continuous improvement across systems, data, and AI.

The role will suit someone who can bridge strategy and delivery, bringing both structure and innovation to a global, mission-driven organisation.

Requirements

• Experience leading or overseeing IT, data, or digital functions
• Strong understanding of systems, cloud environments, and integrations
• Experience in data governance, reporting, and analytics (e.g. Power BI)
• Knowledge of cybersecurity, IT governance, and risk management
• Familiarity with AI tools and responsible AI practices
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional working

About the role:

We are looking to appoint a Family Support Worker on a full-time basis (35 hours), to deliver a high-quality family support service as part of our South West Care Team.

Reporting to the Family Support Manager of the South West Care Team and working in partnership with health, education and social care professionals, you will take responsibility for providing needs-led emotional, social and practical support to families where a child/young person has a life threatening or terminal illness.

Team Leader - Housing

Your role will be essential to the day-to-day management of the Hub and in particular, the delivery of front-line services, contracts and projects. We will rely on you to lead and support the staff and volunteer team that delivers specialist advocacy, empowerment, advice and systems change within the local community. You will support the Hub’s Strategic Lead and management team to deliver our strategy locally, plan and supervise casework, monitor the effectiveness of our services as well as promoting them. You will ensure we provide an excellent quality service that meets the needs of those who need our help and that everyone has access to a safe and affordable home.

About you

You will need experience of staff and service management, including casework support, risk management, supervision and safeguarding. A good understanding of housing law is essential, along with demonstrable experience of working in the advice and/or support sectors and working with external agencies. You must also be proficient in the use of a range of IT tools including case management systems and Microsoft applications.

Hybrid working: one day per week onsite
 
We are working with a well-established UK health charity that is entering a period of transition. They are looking to appoint an Interim Finance Officer for an initial three-month assignment to provide hands-on support across core finance processes.

The role

Reporting into the Head of Finance, you will support day-to-day finance operations, with a particular focus on sales ledger, purchase ledger and income processing. You will work within a small team and also work closely with colleagues across the organisation, helping to ensure income and expenditure are recorded accurately and on time.

Key responsibilities:

• Sales and purchase ledger processing using an accounting system
• Raising sales invoices and entering purchase invoices, ensuring correct coding and authorisation
• Supporting fortnightly BACS payment runs and issuing remittance advices
• Reviewing credit card usage and checking supporting documentation
• Posting and reconciling bank transactions including invoice payments, direct debits and transfers
• Reconciling income from third-party platforms and payment gateways
• Preparing and checking data in Excel, including running macros where required
• Importing income batches into a fundraising database and processing exceptional items manually
• Maintaining clear audit trails and saving supporting documentation
• Providing ad hoc finance support, including exporting transaction lists for budget holders ahead of a finance committee meeting

 
About you:

• Sales ledger and or purchase ledger experience
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with data
• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• The ability to follow established processes and work to deadlines
• Previous charity experience or familiarity with Charities SORP is desirable but not essential.

HR and Payroll Officer

Salary: £27,300 to £29,400 FTE dependent on experience

The successful candidate should have previous experience of HR; knowledge of payroll is advantageous. An eye for detail and a head for numbers as well as an ability to juggle a range of tasks. You should also be an excellent communication with a warm and approachable style.

Supporter Helpdesk Officer

Salary: Grade 1.2 - £26,227.50 per annum pro rata + excellent benefits including 30 days holiday and flexible working

Location: Sheffield- hybrid

Part time: 14 hours working Wednesday and Friday from 8.45 am to 4:30pm. Please note this working pattern is not negotiable owing to the needs of the service

Do you have experience of working in customer service and a strong interest in housing issues? Then join Shelter as a Supporter Helpdesk Officer and you could soon be playing a key role in standing up to the housing emergency.

About the role 

You will be the first point of contact for the organisation, supporters, potential supporters and people seeking information about Shelter’s work. You will provide information on our work and housing/homelessness to supporters and members of the public, act on supporter requests and take part in fundraising administration.  Maintaining accurate supporter records, liaising with other departments when necessary and handle any complaints about services and fundraising activity will also be key parts of the role.

About you 

With excellent communication and administration skills, gained working in a customer service environment, including handling complaints, you will have experience of reviewing, updating and relaying information from various databases. Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, email and the internet and a strong attention to detail and accuracy are also required. An understanding of how the Helpdesk service impacts on the Shelter brand will also be important as well as having resilience dealing with enquiries that may be difficult in nature.

About the Team 

Following the appointment of this role, the Supporter Helpdesk will be made up of five people, a Team Leader and four part time Officers. We are based in Sheffield along with Shelter’s national housing advice helpline. While the team doesn’t provide housing advice we respond to a wide variety of enquiries about Shelter and its work including sign posting to our service where needed.

We’re looking for an organised, proactive and community-minded Project Officer to join our small and supportive team. This is a genuinely varied role, spanning project delivery and network development as well as operational support for our growing OxFarmToFork food hub. It’s a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working across different kinds of tasks and wants to contribute to real change in the Oxfordshire food system. 

The role is 0.8 FTE and can be worked flexibly across the week. Full-time is available if preferred. We encourage interested candidates to discuss working arrangements that suit their needs. The successful candidate will ideally be based within Oxfordshire and able to work from our Oxford office on a Wednesday, our team day.

What You’ll Be Doing 

Project Support (approx. 1.5 days/week) 

Working closely with the Project and Comms Leads, you’ll support the delivery of GFO’s local projects and public-facing campaigns. This includes contributing to initiatives such as the Great Big Green Lunch, and the WISH initiative with our partners at Cherwell Collective, a groundbreaking project that empowers the community to build more sustainable daily habits, including reducing food waste. You’ll help coordinate activity, track progress, and make sure things run smoothly from planning through to delivery. 

Organisational Development (approx. 1.5 days/week) 

You’ll steward GFO’s member network, nurturing robust community and connections. This means attending events, visiting network members and community food groups, and making sure GFO remains well-connected and able to support the people and organisations it works with. 

You’ll also work with the CEO on opportunity horizon scanning: helping to identify income prospects, partnerships, and strategic developments relevant to GFO’s mission, and keeping track of these in a structured and accessible way. 

OxFarmToFork Operations (approx. 1 day/week) 

GFO hosts OxFarmToFork, an exciting local food project and the UK’s first regenerative B2B online marketplace, connecting agroecological growers with buyers in local institutions such as Oxford University colleges. You’ll provide the weekly operational backbone that keeps it running: managing the online marketplace platform (Tream), coordinating with producers and buyers around weekly market cycles and deliveries and supporting the onboarding of new producers and buyers. It’s hands-on work that sits at the heart of a genuinely innovative local food project. 

What You’ll Bring 

• Experience of project coordination or support, in any sector – non-profit, community, food, or otherwise. 

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle a range of tasks. 

• Confidence engaging with a wide variety of people, from community food groups to institutional procurement teams. 

• A methodical approach to admin and data – comfortable with spreadsheets, invoicing processes, and keeping accurate records. 

• Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to share updates clearly and promptly. 

• A proactive mindset: you spot what needs doing and get on with it. 

• Genuine interest in food sustainability, community development, or the local food economy.
