Responsibilities:

• Lead the business performance of the home alongside the Registered Manager, delivering agreed income, occupancy, cost and surplus targets
• Ensure high standards of service, cleanliness and hospitality through effective leadership of housekeeping, catering and maintenance teams
• Work in partnership with the Registered Manager to maintain quality standards, prepare for inspections, and meet regulatory requirements
• Oversee the administration of the home, including staffing, rotas, payroll information, recruitment, training records and compliance
• Contribute to a well-led, positive and values-driven culture, promoting Pilgrims’ Friend Society’s ethos and “The Way We Care”
• Support staff development, wellbeing and morale through effective supervision, appraisal, performance management and engagement
• Manage resident applications, fees, contracts and family communications, ensuring excellent customer care and responsive complaint handling
• Take responsibility for health, safety and compliance matters when on duty, including fire safety and liaison with external bodies
• Oversee property, maintenance and supplier relationships, working with Property Services to ensure the home is safe and well maintained
• Provide visible leadership in the pastoral and spiritual life of the home, supporting devotions, community engagement and relationships with local churches.

Skills/Experience:

• Willing and able to take a lead in maintaining the Christian ethos of the home;
• Management experience in a business setting;
• Comfortable with writing business communications to staff and residents as well as authorities etc;
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels whilst maintaining confidentiality;
• Ability to lead, motivate and encourage staff to give of their best, and have people-leadership and management experience;
• Able to work under pressure and provide calmness in all situations;
• IT literate ( including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and the Internet);
• Willing to be flexible in the working pattern and are prepared to participate in training and attend relevant staff meetings.

Alongside this, you’ll build trusted relationships with educators, growing a network of 'champion' schools that support peer learning and community engagement.

�� What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead the continuous improvement of lead nurture processes, including events, networks, referrals and targeted outreach, aligned to the go-to-market strategy.

• Run structured first conversations, assess readiness, tier opportunities, and maintain accurate CRM records within an active partnerships pipeline.

• Build and nurture relationships with user schools to develop Oak champions, and organise in-person and online community events (e.g. webinars, group INSET, local cluster meetings), including representing Oak at relevant in-person events and school visits.

• As a member of the Oak Team, contribute to the planning and culture of the organisation.

• Work in cross-functional and product-oriented squads with colleagues from across the organisation, as required.

• Deputise for the Partnerships Lead and take on other general responsibilities as required.

• 3+ years of experience managing direct relationships with schools and/or Multi Academy Trusts.

• Experience leading structured conversations with decision-makers to conversion in a business or product context.

• Strong organisational skills and CRM discipline.

• Practical understanding of product/service adoption processes in schools.

• Motivated by long-term adoption and impact.

The successful candidate will have a desire to contribute in all areas to ensure Oak is successful. You will be comfortable working at pace, with a range of digital systems (including proprietary ones as required) and you will continuously look at ways that the team can keep getting better. You will be excellent at working as part of a remote team, building relationships and managing your time effectively.

Job Purpose

1. Work Plan Development

• Prioritise Funding: Collaborate with the Head of Fundraising and Marketing to set funding priorities.

• Record Keeping: Improve and develop the management and workflow of Trust and Foundation fundraising through our CRM, keeping accurate records.

2. Application Content

• Content Creation: Work with relevant staff to produce high-quality, persuasive proposals, reports, and presentations.
• Budget Translation: Interpret existing budgets into funder-specific templates.

3. Stewardship of Existing Funders

• Donor Stewardship: Implement high standards of stewardship for a portfolio of trust and foundation partners (typically giving between £25k–£100k per annum along with non-financial support).
• Relationship Building: Establish strong working relationships with funder representatives, including senior staff and trustees.
• Stewardship Plans: Develop and execute tailored stewardship plans, including engaging communications and targeted meetings.

4. Development of New Partnerships

• Prospect Development: Proactively identify and engage trusts and foundations not currently supporting Age UK Oxfordshire.
• Network Mapping: Collaborate with colleagues to map funder networks and uncover new opportunities.

5. Team Systems Co-ordination

• Database Management: Maintain and utilise our Trust and Foundation database to track donor information and performance.
• Reporting: Work with service delivery staff to manage funder reporting requirements, ensuring prompt and high-quality responses.
• Prioritisation: Collaborate with the Head of Fundraising and Marketing to prioritise options for new funding opportunities.
• Ongoing Research: Keep abreast of sector research and administrative developments as required.

Experience:

Essential

• Demonstratable experience in grant writing with a proven track record of securing income from Trusts, Foundations, and/or Grant Makers.
• Experience in identifying, researching, and developing funding opportunities.
• Working effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Building and nurturing relationships with grant-making bodies.
• Working to ambitious targets and building and maintaining a pipeline.

Desirable

• 2+ years of experience in Trust and Foundation fundraising.
• Experience in securing £100,000+ grants and multiyear funding.
• Experience in using data insights to inform funding proposals.
• Experience in working with delivery staff to collect compelling quotes, beneficiary stories, and data to help bring projects to life for potential funders.
• Experience working with delivery staff and finance teams to help shape budgets and translate those into funders preferred language/templates.

The Role

We are looking for a Class 2 HGV Driver to make daily collections from our food partners in the Midlands region and deliver to warehouses across the West and East Midlands. This role is most suited to individuals with an aptitude for driving, who have excellent customer service skills combined with a professional attitude, as you will be dealing directly with our customers as a representative of FareShare Midlands.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will work with the Supply Chain Team to collect surplus food from partners and deliver to the right regional centre.

• Provide excellent customer service to food partners in person and by phone, offering a highly professional impression of the charity in a friendly manner.
• Adhere to all laws, Road Transport Regulations and HGV Working Time directives.
• Support the Supply Chain Team by collecting stock offered from the food industry and delivering it to Regional Centres in a timely fashion, communicating ETAs and delays.
• Maintain records of collections and allocations e.g. provide paperwork and temperature readings to the Regional Centres on delivery.
• Identify any barriers or opportunities and feedback any developments or challenges e.g. delays, maintenance concerns, instruction errors, etc.
• Ensure deliveries follow the assigned order, the routes are planned appropriately in the given timescale and all delivery windows are met safely.
• Highlight and respond quickly to any anticipated delays or difficulties, using problem solving skills to mitigate any unforeseen circumstances e.g. taking breaks while queueing or changing the order of collections subject to permission from the Supply Chain Team.
• Ensure the quality of the product delivered is accurate against notes, making detailed visual inspections and flagging any concerns or discrepancies before the vehicle is loaded.
• Strengthen existing relationships by providing a reliable and friendly service.
• Adhere to all health and safety and operational requirements at all times.
• Ensure the vehicle is properly maintained, serviced and cleaned to a high standard.
• 6 am to 3 pm shifts & occasionally 7am to 4pm shifts.

This position will involve handballing and lifting with the provision of lifting equipment. You may be required to complete other duties as requested to suit the needs of the charity. Some work on Saturdays with notice will be required.

Steamship Shieldhall is seeking to appoint an experienced freelance Commercial Manager to build new income streams to support the ongoing operation, conservation and sustainability of one of the country's most significant historic ships.

Shieldhall is berthed year-round in Southampton and welcomes passengers and visitors on board from 110 Berth in the Western Docks. She is capable of carrying up to 220 passengers and from spring to autumn each year operates a programme of public sailings ranging from two hour trips to full day cruises. She is also open for alongside events, and is available for private charters. In addition, she can be hired for use alongside such as for training activities, meetings, functions and filming.

The Commercial Manager will be responsible for identifying and realising new opportunities for revenue generation for Steamship Shieldhall, as well as supporting Shieldhall’s experienced volunteers with maximising income from existing activities.

This commission is an important element of the “Steamship Shieldhall: towards 2055, the next 10 years” project which is supported by a Development Phase grant from The National Lottery Heritage Fund.  The appointment is intended to cover both the Development Phase and the first two years of the Delivery Phase of our  project but will include a break-clause between the two phases. The Delivery Phase contract is contingent on a successful Delivery Phase grant application to the Heritage Fund

The successful candidate will have the right to set their own hours of work and will determine in agreement with the Shieldhall charity how best to undertake the work. This commision could be provided through self-employed individual, partnership or limited company.

As Major Gifts Officer, you will:

• Manage a portfolio of major donors and prospects, building trusted relationships that maximise long-term philanthropic support
• Develop and deliver tailored cultivation, solicitation and stewardship strategies for each supporter, taking responsibility for the full donor journey
• Identify new prospects, secure meetings and create bespoke engagement plans that build a strong pipeline of future supporters
• Make compelling asks through face-to-face meetings, telephone conversations and written proposals, securing significant gifts for Greenpeace UK’s priorities
• Create meaningful opportunities for donors to engage with Greenpeace’s campaigning work through events, briefings, visits and other bespoke experiences
• Work closely with colleagues across fundraising, campaigns and communications to develop inspiring donor propositions and stewardship
• Manage your portfolio using donor insight, research and pipeline planning, ensuring accurate CRM records and contributing towards ambitious income targets
• Play an active role within the Major Gifts team, sharing intelligence, supporting colleagues and contributing to the continued success of the programme

Essential skills and experience:

• Experience identifying, cultivating and securing significant gifts from HNWIs or experience of personally securing high value income through developing relationships with individuals, for example strategic corporate partnerships or relevant out-of-sector experience.
• Experience managing a portfolio of donors, clients, accounts or comparable external relationships, developing tailored engagement strategies that build long-term relationships
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop compelling proposals, pitches and donor communications, and build credibility with senior stakeholders
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple relationships simultaneously, prioritise competing demands, maintain accurate records and deliver against income or commercial targets
• A warm, authentic and emotionally intelligent relationship-builder, able to adapt your approach to different audiences and create meaningful engagement opportunities
• Confident representing an organisation professionally at meetings, events and other external engagements
• A collaborative approach, sound judgement and genuine commitment to Greenpeace UK’s values and mission

Desirable, but not essential:

• Substantial major donor fundraising (full cycle) experience
• Experience securing high 5-figure or 6-figure+ gifts or comparable high-value income
• Experience of capital campaigns or other strategic relationship fundraising
