About the role

We are looking for a friendly, proactive Activities and Events Worker to join our team. This is a varied and rewarding role at the heart of our organisation, combining front-of-house responsibilities with hands-on support for activities, events, and community engagement.

You will often be the first point of contact for service users, visitors, and partners, helping to ensure everyone feels welcome and supported. Alongside this, you’ll help deliver inclusive activities and events, support volunteers, and help us share our impact with the wider community.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a welcoming first point of contact, responding to enquiries in a helpful and timely way
• Provide information about Walthew House services and signpost people to appropriate support
• Support the planning and delivery of accessible activities and events
• Help ensure all sessions are inclusive for people with sensory loss
• Prepare rooms for activities and external hire, including refreshments where needed
• Work with volunteers, supporting recruitment, induction, and day-to-day engagement
• Contribute ideas for new activities that meet the needs of our community
• Support fundraising initiatives and promotional activities
• Assist with social media, website content, and printed communications
• Gather stories, feedback, and photos to demonstrate our impact
• Maintain accurate records and monitoring data
• Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and data protection policies at all times
• Act as a designated First Aider (training provided if needed)

About you

We are looking to appoint a Family Support Worker for a fixed term period of up to 12 months, on a full-time basis (35 hours, 5 days per week) to deliver a high-quality family support service as part of our Kentown Team to families in the local area, at a time where they need it most.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Philanthropy and Partnerships Coordinator support the development and progression of philanthropy and partnership activity across trusts & foundations, corporate partners, and high‑value philanthropic audiences in the UK. • Ability to analyse and interpret information and data to support decision-making and insight.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing professional-level briefs and materials.

Your Mission

Following a series of significant new business wins, the Corporate Partnerships Team are looking to grow. We are looking for an ambitious and experienced Corporate Partnerships Officer who is motivated by results and a natural-born relationship builder and communicator.  The role will be responsible for managing, growing and extending a portfolio of partnerships (worth approximately £20,000 per year) as well as supporting the wider team with our higher value partnerships and team administration.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent relationship management to a portfolio of corporate partners (worth approx. £20k per year), including, but not limited to, producing account management plans, setting partnership objectives, supporting fundraising initiatives and employee engagement, thereby significantly contributing to the corporate fundraising budget and strategy.

• Devise sustainable exit strategies for partners that leave behind a lasting legacy for CALM.

We are looking for a qualified solicitor or barrister with valid practising certificate, or already accredited to Level 3 IAA, with two years’ experience in providing advice and representation in asylum including working in legal aid.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the legal advice service. Under the guidance of our Legal Service Manager, you will also build capacity amongst legal representatives by designing and delivering training and giving second tier advice 

This is a unique opportunity to build on your experience as a lawyer/IAA advisor to improve representation across the sector. You will be supported to develop as a specialist in LGBTQI+ asylum.

Responsibilities will include:

• Delivering one-off advice to LGBTQI+ people seeking asylum
• Working with colleagues to refer service users to quality legal aid and pro bono lawyers
• Providing casework assistance in some individual cases
• Providing advice (within competence) on other issues affecting asylum and partnership service users
• Delivering second tier advice to the legal representatives of LGBTQI+ people seeking asylum

You will not be providing direct legal representation of service users. However, the role includes substantive advice and casework within the scope of legal support and referrals for our service users, as well as merits testing and second tier advice.

Role overview

Contract Type: Permanent.

Hours: Part-time (21 hours per week). Occasional work in the evenings and at weekends may be required but with plenty of notice. Rainbow Migration encourages staff to maintain a good work life balance and has a TOIL system in place.

Salary: Starting at £43,078, with a potential step increase each year up to £48,110 (pro-rata), plus statutory employer’s pension contribution. We also try to give a separate inflationary increase every April. 

Location: Remote or from Rainbow Migration’s step-free offices which are based in London between Vauxhall and the Oval. Hybrid working will also be considered and can be agreed with the line manager as per our hybrid working policy. The successful candidate could work from anywhere in the UK but would be expected to occasionally travel to London and other parts of the country for meetings and events. Role Summary

KEY TASKS

· Support the execution of the Nazareth Trust’s communication strategy focusing on the engagement of our existing our support base.

· Optimise all communications for digital delivery, including but not limited to email, web and social media.

· Enhancing visibility within our social media sites, ensuring frequent, relevant, and appealing feeds.

· Support the development of successful campaigns which result in significantly increased levels of support through the growth of the Trust’s supporter networks internationally.

· Craft clear, impactful content that promotes our organisation, requiring minimal editing and resonating with our target audiences.

· Support the development of compelling story opportunities in line with our messaging plan, and prepare media proposals that highlight our work and mission.

· Identify content gaps and innovate with fresh ideas to ensure our messaging remains relevant and engaging.

· Support the monitoring of the external landscape, including other charities, Christian conferences, and social media trends, to generate inspiring new material.

· Maintain consistency across all content by ensuring that messaging, style, fonts, images, and tone align with our brand.

· Tailor all media stories to suit the organisation’s style, audience, and message for maximum impact.

· Support the production of ‘hard copy’ promotional material and participate in events as required.

Essentials

Identity

· Must be a committed and practising Christian.

· Must be able to liaise and communicate interculturally and provide a positive contribution to the culture of a small team based in Edinburgh.

· Imaginative, ambitious, driven, creative and proactive.

 Education

· Educated to Degree level or equivalent qualification/experience in a relevant field.

Experience

· A minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a digital content developer and/or experience of working within marketing and comms.

 Competencies

· Knowledge of digital marketing tactics, including SEO, email marketing, and web analytics.

· A demonstrable portfolio of compelling social media content

· Attention to detail.

· Good team working skills and a positive contributor to working culture.

· Affinity with the mission, vision, and values of the Nazareth Trust

· Ability to meet tight deadlines and execute agreed outputs well.

· High technical competency and highly IT literate

Desirable

· Open to occasional travel, including to Nazareth in Israel.

Overall Job Purpose:

Seeds of Peace is an organisation which inspires and cultivates new generations of global leaders in communities divided by conflict by providing them with the skills, relationships, and community to transform conflict into progress. This Seeds of Peace Camp brings together young people from across Egypt, India, Israel, Jordan, Pakistan, Palestine, and US and UK to work collaboratively with peers in a multi-national setting. The program provides a transformative journey of personal growth through dialogue and leadership exercises, equipping participants to become effective agents of change in their communities.

The Camp staff team consists of counselors, facilitators, activity leaders and a leadership team, all working together to create and implement the camp programme and contribute to an environment of harmony at Camp. The role of Counsellor is to guide and mentor campers in their day to day experience of camp. Counsellors are by campers' side throughout their journey, encouraging and supporting them along the way.

Main responsibilities include:

Camper Support and Supervision

• Supervise campers in residential and activity groups, ensuring you know where campers are at all times.
• Get to know each camper individually and provide the support they need to help them have a safe and successful camp experience.
• Support campers in their day-to-day needs, including proactively supporting campers emotional and physical wellbeing and managing camper behaviour.
• Mentor and prioritise the well-being of campers at all times, while acting as a role model and offering guidance and support to campers.
• Collaborate with other staff to address complex issues and ensure camper well-being.
• Maintain open communication with campers to uphold a supportive atmosphere.
• Facilitation of cultural exchange and understanding amongst campers by embracing and celebrating the diverse backgrounds of campers.

Programming and Activities:

• Encourage active participation for campers in all camp activities.

Additional Camp Support

• Contribute to an atmosphere of communication, trust and respect on Camp.
• Collaborate with the Dialogue and Group Challenge team (Dialogue Lead and facilitators) in all aspects of camp life.
• Adhering to all Seeds of Peace policies and procedures, in order to create a Camp environment that is physically and emotionally safe.
• Commitment to professionalism in an informal educational space.
• Provide support and encouragement to other staff members and maintain a physically and emotionally safe environment for participants.

• Significant experience working in a multi-cultural environment - knowledge of cultural sensitivities regarding Seeds of Peace delegations

Notes

• This position is residential, meaning meals and accommodation are provided during camp and staff training. Furthermore, the cost of travel to and from camp and cost of Visa Application Fee (if applicable) is covered by Seeds of Peace.
• All staff are required to commit to the full duration of the session July 18th - August 10th and participate in a mandatory staff training held both online prior to camp and in person on camp July 10th - 17th

Must also:

• Be entitled to work in the UK
• Hold a DBS certificate or be willing to let Seeds of Peace undertake a check on your behalf
• Have a recent safeguarding qualification from a recognised provider or be willing to undertake additional training in this area
• Comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, confidentiality, data protection and reporting concerns to an appropriate person
