At Great Western Air Ambulance Charity, we’re going big on charity retail. We already have thirteen shops located throughout our region having opened 4 new shops in 2025 (Whiteladies Road (Bristol), Brockworth, Portishead and most recently Dursley). This organisation is the only national charity supporting people living with lupus and those that care for them. They hold an ambition for a world where people with lupus can live full and active lives and work hard to empower people by providing information about lupus and offering support so their voices are heard and their condition diagnosed and managed effectively.
This is an exciting new role for the organisation which will focus on engaging with communities and recruiting and training volunteers to deliver peer support services for those living with lupus. As Community Services Coordinator you will work as part of a small, tight-knit team, and will facilitate co-production sessions with stakeholders across the lupus community, enabling beneficiaries to design and shape community-based services. The role will involve providing direct support to service users, producing regular reports, and supporting and managing volunteers to provide service resourcing. About the role

Shift Pattern: Fixed Term Contract until March 2028 working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Sunday on a rota which can vary between 08:00 - 16:00, 09:00 - 17:00, 10:00 - 18:00 and 12:00 - 20:00. You may be required to work outside these hours as per service and resident requirements and will include bank holiday working. You will also form part of the out of hours on call rota for managers.
About the Role
We are seeking a Deputy Service Manager to support the Service Manager in leading our residential based service which is based in Luton. Penrose Women's Luton SHAP support women who have experienced multiple forms of exclusion such as historical/ongoing abuse, involvement in the criminal justice system, mental health challenges, drug/alcohol dependency, and enduring high levels of violence and coercion. The team supports our women to create a safe, secure, and nurturing environment to create a space where they can call home. They provide person-centred care and support to help them overcome personal challenges and rebuild their lives for brighter futures.
In this role, you will support in leading the team by providing overall leadership to the service and line management responsibilities to support, enable, and empower your team to deliver high quality support to our residents. You will support in driving service outcomes in line with contractual requirements, ensuring quality and consistency within a trauma and psychologically informed environment. You will ensure the service runs smoothly in collaboration with the team, wider teams, and external partners. We're looking for someone who is solution focused, has experience within a similar service environment, and can create a safe space for individuals to learn, and grow.

1. Income Generation
· Maximise fundraising and revenue opportunities through community engagement delivering a number of community based initiatives to generate income over the year.
· Lead on delivery of the fundraising strategy to maximise funding opportunities.

Our School Talks are a key part of our work at Just Like Us. We take hundreds of bookings from schools every year, and deliver hundreds of school talks across the UK with the support of our LGBT+ volunteers aged 18-25.

Just Like Us is the LGBT+ young people’s charity. Founded in 2016, we work with primary schools, secondary schools and sixth form colleges across the UK to improve the lives of LGBT+ young people. To do that, we run several programmes:
● Ambassador Programme: We support our ambassadors to use their voice, develop skills and find community. They also deliver our School Talks programme to schools across the UK.

Job Description
This role reports directly to the Education Programmes and Impact Manager.
Programme delivery
● Support the Programmes Team to deliver our programmes
● Good regular communication and reporting to the Education Programmes and Impact Manager
● Manage the administration of our School Talk programme, including organising bookings with schools, organising volunteers, supporting schools and ambassadors, supporting the whole delivery
● Represent the charity at conferences, events, prides and fairs
● Ensure volunteers have a fulfilling and engaging experience when volunteering with Just Like Us, that they feel recognised and understand the impact of their contribution
