Community Fundraising Manager
Salary: Outer London Business Support Scale, Grade 5\6 (Spine Points 21.1 – 28), £32,064 - £36,579 per annum inclusive of London Weighting.
Location: Copthall House, 9 The Pavement, Grove Road, Sutton, Surrey, SM1 1DA
Working Pattern: Hybrid working with a minimum of 2 days per week in the office; travel across all OHC&AT sites and to external meetings required, including at weekends, for which time off in lieu will be given. The Societies Development Manager is a vital role within the Student Activities team, providing accurate, consistent and innovative support to the student volunteers running over 300 societies. This role will support the delivery of a variety of student led events and activities, empowering and enabling student leaders. This role will put students’ experience at the forefront of everything we do, focusing on providing excellent management of stakeholder relationships, problem solving and risk management with student activities. The Societies Development Manager will work collaboratively across the Student Experience directorate to empower student leaders to run impactful activities for their peers - removing barriers to engagement wherever you find them. They will be responsible for leading major events across the Union and project managing key cross-departmental initiatives such as our annual awards celebrations. 1. Working closely with the Head of Creative Engagement to deliver HOME’s year-round Creative Engagement offer for young people, schools and communities.
2. Lead multiple Creative Engagement visual art projects, facilitating HOME Young Artists Studio, producing Horizons Festival, curating HOME’s Inspire Gallery and wider Creative Engagement Programme.

The role
This is an exciting opportunity to join NEYDL’s growing team and help us establish and develop our work with young dads in Tees Valley.
As a Senior Young Dads Worker, you will provide direct, intensive support to young dads across Tees Valley, working with some of the most disadvantaged young men in the region. You will manage your own caseload, lead peer support activity, work in close partnership with Family Hubs, social care and other local services, and take a lead role in ensuring every young dad you work with is effectively supported from first contact through to positive outcomes.
This is a senior role with real responsibility. Alongside direct delivery, you will take ownership of your project budget, contribute to funder reporting, supervise junior staff and/or volunteers, and develop a designated area of specialism agreed with the senior leadership team. You will be part of a close, supportive team and will play an active role in shaping how NEYDL grows its presence in Tees Valley.
What we are looking for
We are looking for someone with experience of working with disadvantaged young people or young families in a direct support role, ideally in a statutory or voluntary sector context. You will be confident working independently and managing a complex caseload, and you will understand the challenges facing young dads and the systems they navigate.

What will the role involve?
The Dads’/Partners’ Peer Support Worker will play an important role in helping us reach and support more fathers and partners across Birmingham. The role will be community-based and will involve regular travel across the city, working closely with Family Hubs, community organisations and other local partners.
A key part of the role will be establishing and facilitating dads’ stay-and-play groups across Birmingham’s Family Hub areas. These groups will provide opportunities for dads to spend quality time with their children, meet other fathers, build supportive relationships and access support in a welcoming and informal environment.
The postholder will also provide one-to-one peer support, drawing appropriately on their own lived experience to build trust, offer encouragement and help fathers and partners feel less alone. They will support individuals to access relevant mental health, wellbeing, family and community services where needed.
The role will also help to raise awareness of fathers’ and partners’ perinatal mental health through community events, online resources and social media. Working alongside Family Hubs and other local services, the postholder will help dads and partners develop coping strategies, strengthen their support networks and feel more confident about moving forward.
Travel expenses incurred as part of the role will be reimbursed in line with Acacia’s Expenses Policy.Due to the post requiring regular travel across Birmingham, the applicant should ideally have access to a car for work purposes.

Overview
Barts Health NHS Trust provides maternity and neonatal care for women and birthing people and their babies each year, providing all aspects of obstetrics and midwifery care in our labour ward, midwife-led birth centre and home birthing service.
North-East London (NEL) (Newham, Tower Hamlets, Waltham Forest) Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership (MNVP) listens to the experiences of women, birthing people and families, and brings together service users, staff and other stakeholders to plan, review and improve maternity and neonatal care. MNVPs ensure that service users’ voices are at the heart of decision-making in maternity and neonatal services by being embedded within the leadership of provider trusts and feeding into the Local Maternity and Neonatal System (LMNS) and Integrated Care Board. This influences improvements in the safety, quality, and experience of maternity and neonatal care. We work to ensure that every woman and birthing person on the maternity and neonatal pathway has a chance to have their voice heard. We do not speak for them.
We are recruiting a Maternity Lead for Tower Hamlets, who brings the expertise of women/birthing people with lived experience of maternity services at Barts Health NHS Trust into the heart of the development of every aspect of maternity and neonatal services at the trust.
The role of Maternity Voices Partnership (MVP) Lead is key to providing inclusive and collaborative leadership and ways of working, ensuring that all women and birthing people and their families’ views are heard and acted on. This is an exciting opportunity to review, shape and improve services and make a real difference to women, birthing people and their families.
This is a paid, self-employed job requiring 1.5 days per week (worked flexibly where possible). Working with the MNVP is an opportunity to become part of a vibrant team, improving care for our service users and enabling voices and engagement with our community.
The membership of the MNVP includes:
● Women, birthing people and families from a diverse range of backgrounds.
● Members of the wider community such as birth workers and charities specialising in mental health, supporting refugees, etc.

This is a self-employed position on a fixed-term contract until March 2027. The successful candidate will not be entitled to employee benefits such as pension, sick pay, or holiday pay.
As a self-employed contractor, you are responsible for managing your own tax and National Insurance contributions. You will be required to invoice the organisation for your work at the end of each calendar month, and payment will be made within 21 days of receipt of a monthly invoice.
Please note: This role requires applicants to have lived experience of using maternity services at The Royal London Hospital and/or Tower Hamlets within the last five years (either by giving birth or receiving maternity care).
