The Role
As our Head of Finance, you will be a key member of FHC’s Senior Management Team, providing strategic and operational leadership across finance and the wider resources portfolio (Finance, IT, Estates and Facilities). Working closely with the CEO and Trustees, you will ensure strong financial planning, robust controls, clear reporting and regulatory compliance.
As part of this senior role you will line manage the Finance, IT and Facilities Manager. We’re looking for a values-led leader who will model FHC’s organisational values, including compassion, respect, collaboration and excellence.

Main purpose of role
To oversee the charity’s financial management, ensuring accurate reporting, effective budgeting and robust controls. The Senior Finance Manager provides insight to support strategic decision-making, maintains compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, and manages day-to-day finance operations to safeguard the organisation’s financial health.
In addition, as part of a small team, the Senior Finance Manager provides light-touch HR support to assist with processes – such as appraisals, payroll and staff records — helping to ensure smooth operations in the absence of a dedicated HR function.
Key tasks – finance

Ensure accurate recording of information of various funding (industry, donations, memberships etc), spending, banking

Manual bookkeeping and liaising with Accountants in the UK and in Belgium to ensure data is uploaded correctly to Sage (or similar software)

Monthly month end checks on Sage and accurate nominal coding, working with PE’s appointed accountants

Raise invoices and credit control

Accounts payable & expenses process including employee and freelance pay

Managing all aspects regarding employee pay – working with PE’s appointed payroll agent, pension provider and insurance broker

Essential skills and experience

Minimum five years’ professional experience in an accounting or finance role, supported by a relevant accounting qualification or significant demonstrable experience. Prior experience within the charity or not-for-profit sector is highly desirable. Experience or comfort managing cross-border EU-UK financial complexities is a plus.

As Head of Fundraising & Communications, you will:

The role
We are seeking an experienced Manager of Philanthropic Giving with a strong track record in securing major gifts. The ideal candidate will excel at building trusted, long-term relationships with donors and feel confident leading conversations that result in significant philanthropic support. This role will also contribute to the development and delivery of a trusts and foundations strategy, helping to grow and strengthen our portfolio.

The Manager of Philanthropic Giving will be predominantly home based within the UK (with occasional working and meetings at Derby HQ) and will work in co-operation with the fundraising team and all myaware colleagues to deliver agreed fundraising targets and campaigns. Own transport is essential for this role as occasional travel throughout the UK will be required to attend donor meetings, events and networking opportunities, as well as the ability to travel to the Derby office. There may be the need to occasionally work during weekends and evenings and therefore there is a need to work flexibly when required.

Who are we?
Myaware is the only charity in the UK dedicated solely to the care and support of people affected by myasthenia.
We are working hard to raise awareness of myasthenia, as it is a little-known condition. We provide support for people with myasthenia and their families, whilst offering advice and tips for living with the condition.
We also fund the research that brings us closer to finding a cure as well as funding specialists nurses and advisors.

What is the main purpose of their role?
The Operations Manager sits within a team of six managers who are responsible for providing the strategic lead for all the activities of Suffolk Refugee Support. This is a senior operational role with responsibility for overseeing key programme areas including HR and facilities, volunteering, our ESOL provision and our International Women’s Group. The role will also oversee the development of SRS’s Client Partnership work, ensuring this is shaped through co-production with the clients we work with, supports strong external relationships, and is delivered through an effective, outcome-focused work plan. What will the job entail?

Role Responsibilities
The role operates primarily as an in-house writing and strategic support function, focused on the organisation’s highest-level donors and priority audiences.
Key responsibilities include:
- Taking the lead on drafting and delivering a bi-annually Philanthropy newsletter for existing donors and selected prospects, strengthening stewardship and positioning UNHCR’s philanthropic offer.
- Supporting the cultivation and stewardship of priority relationships through the development of bespoke, high-quality and strategically aligned concept notes, proposals, cases for support, business cases, and stewardship/impact reports for Corporate partners, Major Donors, Trusts and Philanthropists.

Skills and experience
We are looking for an experienced and proactive communications officer to cover maternity leave for a minimum of six months.
Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, the postholder will create clear, engaging content, monitor media coverage, and help ensure IPSO’s communications are accurate, accessible and aligned with its role as regulator of UK digital news, newspapers and magazines.

This is a chance to deliver the communications of a high‑profile, independent regulator at the heart of the UK media landscape working on complex, high‑profile issues relating to journalism, regulation and press freedom.
This contract is for at least six months covering maternity leave. There is a competitive starting salary of £32,960, 25 days of paid annual leave (pro rata), and excellent additional benefits.
The role is full-time, and IPSO offers hybrid working to all staff. Main Purpose Of The Job:

This is very much a Project Manager role who would have also experience with events in Education.
Our UK education programme sits at the heart of BPNA’s charitable mission and is a significant source of income - delivering to over 1000 short-course attendees and over 700 conference delegates annually across virtual and face-to-face formats. We also run a distance learning programme and a support new course development, with faculty across the UK.
This is a senior, varied and highly rewarding role. The post-holder works closely with the Director of Education, Executive Director, education committees, and a wide network of faculty and external partners.

We are seeking to appoint a UK Education Manager to join our small team which is based across our Bolton and London offices. This is a 18 months fixed-term contract with the intention to transition to a permanent contract based in Bolton, working 37.5 hours a week (7.5 hours per day x 5 days per week).
JOB PURPOSE
The UK Education Manager provides operational leadership and supports strategic direction for BPNA’s UK education portfolio. The role is accountable for the short-course programme (about 36 courses per year), the annual conference, distance learning support, Instructor Training Day, new course development and faculty development. The post oversees budget responsibility for UK Education and Conference income, which together represent a substantial proportion of BPNA’s annual turnover.
This role is based at the Bolton office, where you will lead two of the BPNA Education team while working and liaising with the Education Content Co-Ordinator, based in the London office
The post-holder is an active member of the BPNA Secretariat Management Team, and serves as Secretary to the Education, Quality & Standards Committee and related steering groups. The role requires leadership, sound judgement and a hands-on, highly organised approach to complex programme delivery.
ABOUT YOU
This role would suit an organised, efficient and practical person with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a good deal of common sense. You will also have diplomatic skills and the ability to build good relationships. You will need to be flexible, have an ability to problem-solve on-site and online, organise highly educated people whilst remaining calm and maintaining a sense of humour.
We are looking for someone to join our team who will contribute to maintaining and developing our customer focused ethos.
While this role is primarily based in Bolton, there will be some UK travel with overnight stays to support in-person courses. We offer time off in lieu or overtime paid for additional hours worked.

LOCATION
While this role is based in Bolton, BPNA offers hybrid working arrangements, enabling you to balance time between working from our office and from home.
With your line manager and the team you oversee, you will agree how much time you will be required to work in the office and how frequently, to achieve productivity and service levels. This could vary week to week. You should anticipate spending an increased amount of time in the office during your probationary period.

We’re looking for an experienced fundraiser to manage and grow BYO’s base of supporters. As head of individual giving you’ll be responsible for finding, cultivating, and upgrading donors through campaigns, events, stewardship and personal engagement. This is a permanent role, and while the post is envisaged as full time, we are open to part-time or flexible arrangements for the right candidate.

This is the job for you if you have:
- Experience in the individual giving side of fundraising (or a comparable relationship-based income role)
- The ability to build and maintain relationships with donors, including making asks and securing income
- Experience working with senior stakeholders, trustees, or volunteers in a fundraising context
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience of a CRM-centric way of working and familiarity using and managing a CRM system to process supporter data and track engagement
- Excellent and adaptable written and verbal communication skills
- A enthusiastic and collaborative approach, with a willingness to contribute across the organisation
- A proactive, self-motivated approach, with the ability to spot opportunities and follow them through
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards
- Knowledge of major donor fundraising and cultivation techniques
- Understanding of data protection and fundraising best practice
