About Mentoring Works
ELBA’s Mentoring Works programme has been running since 1996 and has supported thousands of young people across London and beyond. Mentoring Works connects Year 10 and Sixth Form/college students to volunteer business mentors working in the City and Canary Wharf. Mentors and mentees connect regularly for sessions designed to develop the knowledge, skills and qualities needed for future careers. Sessions explore the Skills Builder framework and key employability competencies but can also be tailored to individual needs. Mentoring Works provides resources, guides mentees in their own decisions and discoveries and promotes networks, opportunities and social mobility.
Purpose of the job
To be responsible for supporting the key aims and deliverables of Mentoring Works. The Mentoring Works Project Manager will need to develop and manage strong relationships with schools and colleges; recruit students and engage and train business volunteers as mentors; design resources; deliver sessions; monitor relationships; support with safeguarding and produce robust impact evaluations for the programme. You will be required to support other members of the Mentoring Works team and your colleagues as and when required. The post will be managed by the Head of Programmes - Education, with further support and training from the Mentoring Works team. The post holder will have regular one-to-one support for input and guidance to achieve agreed success indicators and will be subject to annual performance appraisals with mid-year reviews.

Job Description
- Manage relationships with schools, colleges and employers, with particular responsibility for ELBA’s partners
- To promote safety and wellbeing of students at all times, to follow ELBA’s safeguarding policies and have full regard to the policies of the partners engaged in the programme.
- Oversee individual employee volunteer (mentor) and student (mentee) relationships to ensure programme objectives are being met.
- Plan and deliver employee volunteer and student recruitment sessions.
- Deliver training sessions for employee volunteers.
- Match employee volunteers with students in line with targets.
- Lead on development and delivery of group activities to support the Mentoring Works programme and feedback sessions with students.
- Build effective working relationships with ELBA corporate partners engaged with Mentoring Works to promote and enable delivery of projects/activities.
- Where required, support the Head of Programmes - Education with external communications, company and funder reports detailing the progress, impact and evaluation of Mentoring Works delivery.

Purpose of the role:
The Kinship Navigator provides intensive, time-limited support to kinship carers through the Kinship Connected programme, a structured six-month intervention designed to help kinship families stabilise placements and access the support they need.
Working directly with kinship carers in West Dunbartonshire, you will build trusting relationships while completing structured assessments, goal setting and reviews to help families strengthen their support networks and navigate services such as children’s social care, education, health and community support.
This is a community-facing role, working from Y Sort It’s offices and directly in kinship carers’ homes and community spaces. You will work alongside Y Sort It’s Intandem mentors to ensure that both carers and the children they care for receive coordinated, complementary support.
Accurate recording of your work is essential to enable Kinship and Inspiring Scotland to understand what is working, demonstrate impact and learn from this pioneering pilot.
Direct support
You will provide intensive one-to-one support to kinship carers for up to six months, working within the delivery approach set out in the Kinship Connected Service Manual. You will also establish and facilitate a monthly support group for kinship carers in West Dunbartonshire.
This may include:
- Providing emotional and practical support to kinship carers.
- Completing structured needs assessments, SMART goal setting and regular reviews with kinship carers.
- Advocating for kinship carers in meetings with professionals where appropriate.
- Establishing and facilitating a monthly support group for kinship carers in the local area.
- Mapping local services and building relationships with organisations that can provide specialist support, training or activities for kinship families in West Dunbartonshire.
- Liaising with schools, local authorities and other professionals to coordinate support around families.
- Supporting kinship carers with challenges relating to the child(ren) in their kinship care.
- Signposting to relevant services, support organisations and Kinship training opportunities.
- Referring children in kinship care to Y Sort It’s Intandem mentoring programme where appropriate.
- Coordinating celebration and family events (including in Kinship Care Week).

Partnership working with Y Sort It and Inspiring Scotland
- Work closely and collaboratively with Y Sort It colleagues on a day-to-day basis, building a strong co-location relationship that benefits kinship families.
- Develop and maintain clear cross-referral pathways between Kinship Connected and Y Sort It’s Intandem mentoring programme.
- Contribute to joint learning and shared reflection about how the whole-family model is working and what outcomes are being achieved for both carers and children.

Collaboration and wider partnership working

- Contribute to cross-team learning, sharing emerging insights about kinship carers’ experiences and the local landscape in Scotland to inform Kinship’s broader organisational learning.

Safeguarding and risk management
Kinship has a robust safeguarding structure. You will be supported by a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and Designated Deputy Safeguarding Leads (DDSL). In line with this policy, and mindful of the Scottish legislative and practice context, you will:
- Recognise, report, record, respond and refer safeguarding risks via our safeguarding process with the support of the safeguarding team.
- Follow and understand Kinship’s organisational safeguarding policies, as well as relevant Scottish guidance and legislation.
- Complete risk assessments for events in line with Kinship’s policy.
- Follow the Kinship Health and Safety policy.

Monitoring, evaluation and data quality
Accurate and consistent data recording is a core requirement of this role. As Kinship Connected in West Dunbartonshire is a pilot programme, high-quality records and documentation are essential to demonstrate impact to Inspiring Scotland and to generate the learning that will inform future development of Kinship’s work in Scotland.
- Maintain accurate, timely records of all activity, assessments, support plans, contacts and outcomes on Kinship’s CRM system (Salesforce) in line with organisational policy and programme protocols.

Teenage Cancer Trust is the only UK charity dedicated to providing specialised nursing care and support for young people aged 13–24 with cancer. Every day, seven young people in the UK hear the words “you have cancer”, and Teenage Cancer Trust ensures they do not face it alone.
The charity funds specialist nurses and youth support teams in hospitals across the UK and provides vital emotional, practical and psychological support for young people and their families during and after treatment.
Regional fundraising is a core income stream for Teenage Cancer Trust, generating income through a combination of community and corporate fundraising. Supporters are often personally connected to the cause, including young people, families and communities directly impacted by cancer, making this a highly rewarding fundraising environment.
Teenage Cancer Trust is now seeking a Senior Relationship Manager (West Scotland) to grow and develop income across the West of Scotland. With an individual income target of c.£130k and a combined Scotland regional target of c.£260k across East and West Scotland, this role will play a key part in strengthening existing relationships while identifying and developing new fundraising opportunities across a region with significant growth potential.
Reporting to the Regional Fundraising Area Manager, you will be responsible for building long-term supporter relationships and developing strategic area plans to maximise fundraising opportunities. Job Title: Youth Work Co-ordinator

Join Greater Manchester Youth Federation (GMYF) — a long-established charity running vibrant youth centres across Greater Manchester. We’re dedicated to raising aspirations and creating opportunities for young people, especially those facing disadvantage, through exciting activities, outreach, and outdoor adventures. Our approach champions youth voice, inclusion, and building confidence and resilience. We offer outdoor education, including residentials at our own Ormside Mill site in Cumbria and other sites nationwide.
Purpose of Role:
The Youth Work Co-ordinator plays a key role in the day-to-day delivery of high-quality youth work within the centre and the wider community. Working closely with the Centre Manager, the postholder coordinates sessions, leads delivery in practice, and provides guidance and support to youth workers during activities.
This is a hands-on practice leadership role, combining direct youth work with responsibility for session planning, staff co-ordination during delivery, pastoral support, and contribution to residentials and projects. The role supports, but does not replace, the Centre Manager’s accountability for staff line management, safeguarding leadership, and overall centre management.
In the absence of the Centre Manager, the Youth Work Co-ordinator acts as the senior on site lead for day-to-day centre operations and youth work delivery, while not holding line management or strategic authority. This responsibility relates to immediate operational safety and session delivery only, and does not include line management, budgetary authority, or strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Youth Work Delivery and Session Leadership
- Lead and deliver high quality, inclusive, and young person-centred youth work across centre based provision, outreach, streetbased work, community settings, and outdoor activities.
- Co-ordinate day to day youth work delivery, ensuring sessions and activities (on site and off site) are engaging, purposeful, and responsive to young people’s needs.
- Work with the Centre Manager and wider GMYF team to contribute to programme planning, curriculum development, and forecast of events planning including centre based, outreach, and community-based youth work.
- Take a lead role in session planning, recording, and evaluation to ensure learning, participation, and youth voice remain central across all settings.

Safety, Safeguarding and Inclusion

- Lead safe evacuation and implement fire or lockdown procedures when acting as the senior on-site lead in the absence of the Centre Manager, ensuring young people, staff and visitors are accounted for and safe.
- Maintain accurate attendance, visitor, and session records.
- Use Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word and PowerPoint) and organisational systems (e.g., Views/Evolve) to support communication and maintain accurate records, monitoring and reporting.

Step Up has been running successfully in Hackney since 2015 and works in partnership with statutory and voluntary mental health services. We work with people living with a rage of conditions including, but not limited to: depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.
Through workshops, training and individual coaching, people are supported to gain confidence, independence, vocational skills and resilience with a reduction in social isolation. The role involves carrying out careful assessments of each person’s needs and interests, to create pesonalised journey plans that include interesting and relevant volunteering positions. These are with local charities and community organisations who are given ongoing support and guidance to help these be a rewarding and worthwhile experience.

As a Sports coach & youth mentor, you'll play a vital role in that journey. Alongside your coaching partner, you'll deliver engaging sports sessions, mentoring and workshops that inspire young people, build trust and help them realise their potential. Whether you're supporting a young person one-to-one, leading a group activity or helping deliver enrichment events, you'll be creating opportunities for young people to succeed.
This is more than a coaching role. It's an opportunity to be a positive role model, build meaningful relationships and make a lasting difference in the lives of young people across Hastings & Bexhill.
You do not need to know rugby to apply. The rugby side can be taught, and plenty of people in the team started with youth work or mentoring experience rather than a sports coaching background.
Day to day, you’ll work with schools, alternative provision teams and community partners to keep sessions safe, productive and well-organised. You’ll also support holiday activities, career taster days and enrichment trips, giving young people positive things to be part of outside school.
There will be some admin too, including tracking attendance, progress and outcomes. This helps the team see what is working and keep support consistent for the young people taking part.

Role Purpose
The RDA Coach is responsible for the planning, coordination, and delivery of safe, effective, and engaging sessions at Lowlands Equestrian Centre. The Coach role ensures that all sessions meet the needs of disabled riders while maintaining high standards of equine welfare, volunteer support, and compliance with RDA guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Session Delivery
· Lead and deliver all ridden sessions, ensuring they are safe, inclusive, and tailored to individual rider needs.
· Lead other activities at the centre when needed.
· Complete session risk assessments and retain responsibility for maintaining safety throughout.
· Take overall responsibility for the effective running of sessions, including setup, delivery, and close-down.
· Ensure all sessions align with RDA standards and best practice.
· Coordination of volunteers to ensure adequate support for participants.
Session Planning
· Plan structured and progressive ridden sessions to support rider development and enjoyment.
· Adapt session plans to meet the varying abilities and goals of riders.
· Contribute to the overall activity plan, identifying ways to increase efficiency, session quality and volume.
Assessment & Rider Development
· Carry out rider assessments to facilitate progression and ensure appropriate support is in place.
· Identify when further advice and therapy support are required to assess safety for riders.
· Complete and maintain Risk Assessments (RA) relevant to ridden activities.
· Monitor rider progress and adjust sessions accordingly.
Horse Allocation
In partnership with the Equine Team:
· allocate suitable horses to riders based on:
o Rider ability and needs
o Horse suitability, fitness, and temperament
· ensure horse workload is appropriate and balanced.
Record Keeping
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for sessions, including:
o Attendance
o Rider progress and assessments
o Any incidents or concerns
Volunteer Coordination & Training
· Coordinate volunteers for ridden sessions, ensuring appropriate roles are filled (e.g., side walkers, leaders).
· Provide clear briefings before sessions and debriefs where required.
· Deliver training and guidance to volunteers to ensure safe and effective support during sessions.
· Monitor volunteer performance and safety, identifying any training needs or safety concerns and providing the appropriate support where needed.
Health, Safety & Welfare
· Ensure all sessions operate in line with health and safety requirements and RDA policies.
· Monitor both rider and horse welfare during sessions, taking action where necessary.
· Report and record any incidents or concerns promptly
Person Specification
Essential Criteria
· Coaching qualification (RDA Coach, BHS Stage 2 Coach or equivalent).
· Experience of delivering ridden sessions, ideally within a therapeutic or educational setting.
· Strong understanding of equine behaviour, welfare, and suitability for ridden work.
