This role is to be based out of their London office and remotely and is available on a full time or part time basis (minimum 3 day per week).

Reporting into the Senior Operations Manager, the Interim HR Projects Manager will undertake specific projects to enhance the charity’s HR support, including for example, reviewing training and skills development for line managers and scoping frameworks and considerations for organisational values development. In addition, the HR Projects Manager will support other areas of HR activity and keep up to date with legislation, policies and procedures relevant to the role and the charity’s work. 

The successful candidate will bring some broad HR experience from across the employee lifecycle with a good understanding of UK employment law and HR compliance. You will have excellent experience of managing HR related projects and will have strong organisational and problem solving skills with the ability to build relationships quickly. It would also be beneficial to bring experience or passion for working in the education or not-for-profit sector

The role:
As the Co-ordinator (Projects) you will provide general ad hoc admin support to multiple areas of your department and team members.  You will liaise with subject matter experts for them to provide you content.  Proofread content and ensure it complies with your organisation’s guides.  You will enter questions onto online digital platforms.  Utilise an online translation tool to amend questions as needed.  Test translated items with subject matter experts.  You will create and monitor project plans, including preparing and maintain project documentation, e.g. action logs, status updates, risk logs, and comms plans.  Schedule project meetings and track follow up actions.

The Role

As a Horticultural Curator, you will support the development of beautiful, resilient and biodiverse landscapes across The Royal Parks.

Specifically, you will deliver one of our key strategic objectives to ‘Conserve and Enhance’. About You

• Experience writing copy to explain and communicate changes and evolution of horticulture for media, press and PR interpretation and fundraising material

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Financial Accountant will be responsible for running and reconciling finance sub-ledgers, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation and processing of journal entries, including accruals, to ensure an efficient and accurate month-end close.
• Oversee the month-end and year-end closing procedures in Sage, proactively identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
• Take ownership of reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with other charities within the Group to reconcile inter-charity balances and accruals, while constantly looking for ways to streamline the process.
• Provide detailed analysis of the P&L to offer clear insights into monthly financial performance.

About the role

We are excited to be recruiting a Programme Manager to join The Scholars Programme team. This role will be central in ensuring high quality programme management and oversee effective stakeholder stewardship across multiple geographical areas.

Programme Managers work closely with each other, reporting to the Head of Programme Management, to ensure excellent programme delivery across the UK. Each Programme Manager will manage a team of Programme Officers, who each manage a cluster of school-PhD tutor relationships. Programme Managers oversee all aspects of programme delivery by Programme Officers, ensuring key performance indicators are met. They will coach and support their team to deal with complex and sensitive issues from schools and PhD Tutors, becoming directly involved as a point of escalation. Programme Managers will be responsible for school retention targets and will identify opportunities to promote The Scholars Programme. They will directly deliver aspects of our provision including PhD tutor training, university events and tutor assessment centres. Programme Managers also lead collaborative work with other teams, providing strategic insight and oversight of joint processes to ensure information is disseminated and key actions are taken by the Programme Management team.

The role requires a driven and dynamic team player, with experience of success in programme management. The organisation is the national charity working to end domestic abuse against women and children. They have been at the forefront of shaping and coordinating responses to domestic violence and abuse through practice for almost 50 years. This will be a 15-month fixed term contract based in London.  Hybrid working 2 days in the office a week.
 
The role:

You will work closely with your team to monitor research grants, overseeing the development and implementation of the impact framework.  As the Research Manager you will play a key role in shaping the approach to impact analysis evaluation, dissemination and stakeholder engagement.  You will also have the opportunity to contribute to workshops and co-author publications.  At predetermined times of the year, you may be also asked to contribute to the peer review process and drafting of feedback to funding applicants.
 
Essential criteria:

• Experience of scientific writing and summaries
• Used to working in a fast-paced academia or research administration setting
• Ideally a research background in health, biological sciences, nutrition, clinical studies or similar
• Examples of team leadership or direct line management
• Natural ability to communicate science to audiences

 
Salary: £44,000 - £46,000

JOB TITLE:HR Coordinator

MAIN PURPOSE & SCOPE OF THE ROLE:

The HR Coordinator will provide specialist and proactive support to other departments within the charity to ensure organisational compliance in all relevant areas relating to HR.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Reporting to the People Engagement Manager, you will be supporting the Charity to set and deliver on its People Strategy. You will be responsible for providing operational HR services, advice, and guidance with a primary focus on HR transactions, employee relations management, engagement, recruitment and performance management.  You will identify, analyse and utilise HR data to inform decision making and identify more efficient ways of working.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• You will lead the development and implementation of a best practice approach to recruitment.
• You will advise managers on best practice techniques for monthly one-to-one meetings and annual appraisals to ensure staff feel confident to openly discuss challenges as well as successes.
• You will review and update our existing HR policies and procedures, ensuring they not only comply with current HR law but importantly promote best practice.
• You will also work with the senior leadership team to develop a set of organisational values that prioritise equality, diversity and inclusion and reflect best practice, ensuring these are then communicated to all staff, volunteers, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities of the Role

• Maintain all HR policies and procedures ensuring they are regularly reviewed and updated to reflect relevant legislation and best practice.

• Provide support, guidance, and advice for managers in conducting and concluding employee relations cases, including absence, performance management, disciplinary and grievance cases, ensuring adherence to policy.
• Manage, maintain, and deliver the charity’s onboarding induction to new members of staff.
• Always maintain the highest levels of discretion and confidentiality.
• Be a role model within the charity demonstrating MDD’s values and behaviours at all times.
• Monitor completion of performance appraisals and one to one meetings, issuing reminders and offering support to managers as required.
• Coordinate and support the delivery of employee engagement surveys, including planning, analysis, reporting and follow up actions.
• Produce regular HR reports and people data metrics for the Senior Leadership Team (e.g. turnover, tenure, sickness absence trends, performance outcomes).
• Maintain and update the HR system (Breathe HR), ensuring employee records are accurate and up to date.
• Prepare and submit monthly payroll changes to the finance team in line with payroll deadlines.
• Manage staff benefits including the health cash plan, life assurance, pension scheme and long service awards.
• Produce and circulate internal HR communications such as staff newsletters, HR updates and policy changes.
• Coordinate and support learning and development activities, including booking and maintaining training records and delivering HR related training for managers and staff (e.g. one to ones, appraisals, HR systems).
• Assist in developing employee engagement initiatives.
• Contribute to wellbeing and inclusion initiatives.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Experience & Qualifications

Essential

• CIPD Qualified and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role or currently undertaking the qualification.
• Employee relations (e.g. performance, absence, disciplinary, grievance, redundancy, etc) case management in line with current UK employment legislation
• Management of end-to-end recruitment activity, supporting hiring managers and focussed on candidate experience
• Excellent interpersonal, networking and communication skills
• Experience of managing relationships with staff at all levels
