The RCR, in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support, is leading a national review into cancer multidisciplinary team (MDTs) improvement — a key commitment in the National Cancer Plan. We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to drive this high-profile programme and deliver meaningful change for cancer services. 

This is a rare opportunity to shape how cancer teams work across the country and to deliver meaningful improvements for patients, clinicians and the wider cancer workforce. 

As Project Manager, you will take full ownership of the planning, coordination and delivery of the Cancer MDT Reform Programme. You’ll work closely with senior leaders across the health system including NHS England, Macmillan Cancer Support and the Department of Health and Social Care as well as senior Officers at the RCR, including regular reporting to our Vice-President for Clinical Oncology. 

Key responsibilities include: 

• Leading the full project lifecycle, from developing detailed project plans to managing risks, timelines and reporting. 
• Delivering a large two-day national stakeholder event to gather insight and build consensus across the cancer community. 
• Drafting high-impact written outputs, including a flagship report outlining recommendations for MDT improvement to be shared with government. 
• Collaborating with DHSC and NHSE to support the development of future MDT guidance. 
• Building strong, productive relationships with clinicians, NHS partners, national charities, Royal Colleges and internal teams. 
• Line managing the Project Administrator and fostering an effective and motivated project team.

About the Role

Specialist ISA Practice and Development Manager

ABOUT SUZY LAMPLUGH TRUST: 

The Suzy Lamplugh Trust was established in memory of Suzy Lamplugh, a young estate agent who tragically disappeared while at work in 1986 and was later declared deceased in 1993. Created to honour Suzy’s legacy, the Trust aims to empower individuals and organisations to take a stand against abuse, aggression, and violence in all forms, supporting safety in both personal and professional lives 

Role overview: 

The purpose of this role is to manage the specialist elements of the London stalking support service, including the Community Engagement and Outreach ISA and the Court ISA functions. These are new areas of delivery for the Trust, and the postholder will play a key role in establishing and embedding these specialist services. 

The postholder will provide day-to-day management, guidance, and direction to specialist staff holding complex cases, ensuring work is delivered safely and in line with best practice, contractual standards, and safeguarding requirements. They will oversee referral assessment and allocation for specialist cases, ensuring referrals are prioritised and allocated within agreed response times. 

As the services are in their infancy, the role will focus on supporting the development and refining processes, pathways, and approaches, using performance data, feedback, test and learn approach and learning to support continuous improvement. The postholder will also oversee performance monitoring, quality assurance, and budget management working closely with the Deputy Head of Operations to manage demand and maintain service standards. 

The role will ensure inclusive, culturally responsive approaches are embedded within the Community Engagement and Outreach function, and will represent the Trust in operational forums, contributing to wider service development across the organisation.

As our Network Manager, you will live and breathe our network, developing a deep understanding of the makeup, needs and priorities of network members to lead effective engagement and establish a high quality experience. You’ll drive a number of projects and steward relationships as part of our evolving offer, focusing on listening, moving from a transactional to a relational approach to supporting and learning from our network, equipping leaders with the skills, networks, and confidence to deliver exceptional support to young people.

You’ll support the Head of Network Development and the Senior Leadership Team to evolve UKY’s network offer as part of our new strategy. You will be a key advocate for the sector, ensuring our network remains responsive, resilient, and well equipped to meet emerging opportunities and challenges.

The role requires deep understanding and experience  of the youth sector, the ability to confidently build relationships with leaders of practice and organisations, as well as a highly organised, and proactive individual with strong project management and excellent stakeholder management skills.

Experience we're after

• Experience delivering youth work practice with young people.

• Understanding of youth policy, workforce challenges, and sector-wide trends including the changing aspirations and needs of young people and the impact of youth work in supporting these.

• Knowledge of youth sector infrastructure organisations and their roles at national, regional, and local levels.

• Strong programme and project management expertise, including a demonstrable track record of successfully leading and managing large-scale or complex programmes and projects in a previous role.

• Excellent relational and stakeholder engagement skills, with proven experience building and maintaining relationships across diverse organisations.

• Proven experience in network development, membership engagement, or partnership management within the charity, youth, or community sector.

• Experience in workforce development, training, or skills enhancement within a sector-focused setting.

• Excellent line management skills, with experience developing staff and effectively managing performance.

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage diverse audiences in a variety of settings.

• Experience in budget management and financial planning.

The Health Services Development Manager plays a central role in delivering the organisation’s ambition of achieving 100% provision of high-quality Fracture Liaison Services (FLS) across the UK. The role helps close the secondary fracture prevention gap by supporting NHS systems to develop, commission and improve early diagnosis clinics, ensuring patients are identified after a first fracture and receive timely assessment, diagnosis and treatment for osteoporosis.
 
This position sits within the Health Services Development Team, part of the Services and Influencing Directorate, and works in close partnership with the Policy & Influencing team.

This role is essential in our continual drive for increased impact and quality across all of our work.You will lead on the quality assurance of all programme delivery across a defined area, working closely with the appropriate Delivery and Partnership Team’s Regional/Country Lead/s. You will use data and evidence to inform your practice and be an expert in what good looks like from a programme delivery perspective. 

Regular travel throughout your geographical location will be required, with occasional travel to other areas of the UK.  Please stipulate where you are based when applying.

Key Responsibilities  

• You will be accountable for the quality and Model Fidelity of sites within your geography with a focus on improving employment outcomes for the interns participating in our programmes, in partnership with the Regional /Country Lead in the Delivery & Partnerships team.

• Demonstrate, train in and uphold the values of a continuous improvement culture. 

• You will be accountable for collecting, analysing and reporting on data to allow for clear evaluation and guiding best practice in your geography 

• You will be accountable for supporting the delivery of quality trainings to partnerships to drive quality programmes and employment outcomes 

• You will be accountable for supporting the ongoing development of resources in line with UK guidelines, US model fidelity and that successfully equip partnerships with what they need to support strong employment outcomes – in collaboration with the Resources and Curriculum Manager. 

• You will be accountable for conducting programme reviews and audits as required by the Head of Quality and Impact 

• You will lead on (role specific) induction and training across DFN Project SEARCH staff and associates.
