We are looking for an Interim Senior Marketing and Communications Manager to lead our Marketing and Communications function during an exciting period of transition and growth. Reporting to the Director of Fundraising and Engagement, you’ll oversee marketing and communications across the organisation, line managing a team of specialists and working closely with the Senior Leadership Team. You’ll provide strategic leadership, clear direction and hands‑on support, ensuring activity is well planned, insight‑driven and aligned to our wider organisational objectives.
This role is ideal for an experienced marketing and communications leader, ideally from the charity sector, who can combine strategic thinking with strong delivery, and who thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Working Hours & Location
This role follows a 37 hours, over a 7 day working pattern. This is a site-based role, requiring occasional travel to meetings with partners, other attractions and to our main hubs for collaborative meetings and team activities.
Role Overview
The purpose of the post is to manage and lead the day-to-day operations, business development and visitor experience at our Canal Museum Stoke Bruerne. The Visitor Services Manager (VSM) will lead the site team at Stoke Bruerne (colleagues and volunteers) on a day to day basis to focus on the visitor offer, striving for excellence in experience, achieving financial sustainability around income generation and charitable giving and delivering a consistently high-class visitor welcome across the board. This includes managing a range of front of house functions including food and beverage, retail, events and commercial boat trips. The Visitor Services Manager plays a central role in overseeing, coordinating and championing the experience of every visitor from site presentation, to large/small scale events and programming, making the site a must-see attraction, acclaimed internationally, nationally and loved locally.
As a key member of the Destinations and Attractions Management Team the VSM will work strategically with colleagues in other attractions and with other teams within the Trust such as, Operations, Fundraising, Collections, Marketing and Volunteering teams amongst others to promote, drive and deliver excellence in customer service and a visitor centred approach. The VSM will work collaboratively with teams and volunteers to ensure focused visitor activity which will help build our audiences and increase visitor footfall whilst building engagement for the Trust brand.
A key accountability of the role is managing and reporting on financial performance, delivering on KPI’s and leading and motivating teams to deliver income targets whilst effectively managing costs.

About you
You will have extensive experience of working operationally in a customer-focused environment, ideally in a visitor attraction, delivering financial targets and creating dynamic and innovative projects and programming that will engage and inspire audiences. You will have experience of leading teams, including volunteers to deliver successful initiatives and keep them motivated and involved. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to create safe working environments and understand the importance of compliance in day to day operations. - Educated to degree level or equivalent

This is a grant funded role, fixed term for two years, with the opportunity for conversion to a permanent role should funding allow.
Main Purpose of the Role:
To provide proactive, emotional, and practical support to families and individuals affected by Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) across Scotland. The role will focus on early engagement, wellbeing assessment, community building, and delivery of workshops and events, while ensuring accurate tracking of support outcomes and data.
The successful candidate will also lead on support for young people living with Duchenne during 2 key transition points (primary to secondary school stage and moving into adulthood). They will work closely with the England-based Transitions Coordinator to deliver a joined-up programme of support across the UK.
Specific Tasks:
1. Proactive Family Support
- Initiate contact with newly registered families within agreed timeframes (email within 3 working days, call within 7–10 working days)
- Contact to be made to all registered Action Duchenne members, knows to us in Scotland, to ensure the current support offer is clear
- Provide ongoing support tailored to individual needs, including emotional wellbeing, physical health, housing, financial security, self-esteem and respect, decision-making, social engagement, quality of life, and access to care
- Use the Action Duchenne Assessment Form and Action Plan to identify and respond to areas of concern
2. Transitions Support
· Lead transition support across all nations, with a focus on Scotland, for children and young people facing key life changes, including:
· Moving between educational settings such as primary to secondary
· Transitioning from paediatric to adult health services
· Changes in mobility and independence (e.g. transitioning to using powerchairs)
· You will lead, but expected to work collaboratively with the England-based Transition Coordinator to ensure consistency and continuity of support across the UK
· Develop resources, guidance, and workshops to support families through transitions
3. Wellbeing Tracking and Outcome Measurement
· Administer wellbeing questionnaires and record scores across key domains (e.g. physical health, emotional wellbeing, financial security)
· Collaborate with families to co-create action plans and track progress
· Ensure all data is entered into CRM (E-Tapestry or similar) within the allotted timeframe, i.e. immediately after or during the call.
4. Community Engagement and Event Delivery
· Organise and deliver regional meetups (minimum one per quarter)
· Facilitate support groups (virtual and in-person) for parents, young people, and extended family
· Support delivery of workshops and events aligned with programme schedule (e.g. music, life skills, employability)
5. Stakeholder Collaboration
· Liaise with external organisations including NHS care advisors and clinics, local authorities, counselling services, and other charities
· Represent Action Duchenne in Scotland and build relationships with local networks
6. Administration and Reporting
· Maintain accurate records of all interactions and support provided
· Contribute to quarterly reporting on activity delivery, capacity utilisation, and family impact
· Support development of CRM processes and service delivery improvements
7. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
· New contact acknowledgement email: within 3 working days
· New contact follow-up call: within 7–10 working days

The Counselling Administrator role is key to SEL Mind's exciting new counselling service for Black residents of Southwark, delivered as part of the wider Southwark Wellbeing Hub. This part-time role (2.5 days / 18.5 hours per week) will play an important role in the Wellbeing Hub's provision to the Black community, expanding equitable access to culturally-appropriate support.
As Administrator, you will provide front-line support to clients wishing to access the service, screening them, ensuring accurate appointment scheduling, providing information and signposting to other support services as necessary. You'll work closely with the Counselling and Outreach Coordinator to keep up-to-date on other community organisations providing access to relevant, de-colonial approaches to mental health support.
The main working site is a community centre in SE5, and the role is at least one day per week in person. You will play a vital role in delivering an efficient, well-run service. Communication and partnership working is vital, so you should be highly organised and able to work independently but collaboratively.
The role will involve:
- Managing the Southwark Wellbeing Hub Counselling inbox and phoneline (along with the Counselling and Outreach Manager)
- Maintaining the schedule of counselling sessions and Counsellor group supervision, including client appointment reminders and re-scheduling as needed

- Collecting and recording data, including customer feedback, and supporting management with reports

- Plan, coordinate, and deliver high-quality content and communications across the Partnerships team to support fundraising, stewardship, and partner engagement

About the role
The Climate and Resilience Expert is a specialist role that will contribute to strengthening and expanding Practical Action’s Climate and Resilience portfolio, with a primary focus on Early Warning Systems and Early Action. The postholder will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of our EWS/EWEA work, providing high‑quality technical expertise, thought leadership and sector engagement to enhance the impact of our programmes, partnerships, and consultancy services.
This role will support the delivery of ongoing workplans for key EWS/EWEA initiatives, including maternity cover responsibilities for priority projects. Approximately 50% of the postholder’s time will focus on coordinating delivery of the EWS Thematic Lead work under the Zurich Climate Resilience Alliance, ensuring continuity, effective collaboration, and high technical standards across research, programme design, partnership development, and influencing activities.
About you
The successful candidate will bring strong technical knowledge of early warning systems and early action, experience working in climate resilience in low‑ and middle‑income contexts, and the ability to collaborate effectively with global teams, partners, and external stakeholders to advance Practical Action’s mission of putting ingenious ideas to work for a world that works better for everyone.

The Relationship Manager will lead one or a small portfolio of programmes.

The VCS Alliance is a charity dedicated to transforming health and social care across Bradford District and Craven. To do this, we act as a bridge between the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector and the Bradford District and Craven Health and Care Partnership, channelling investment into the sector, to deliver transformational programmes. These programmes keep people out of front-line and emergency health services and address health inequalities.
We also provide and support Bradford District and Craven’s VCSE sector voice to contribute to system conversations, leading to better outcomes for our diverse communities. The Geological Society Publishing House has an exciting opportunity within our publishing team to provide wide-ranging administrative support for editorial development team activities and project work. Utilise Editorial Manager and online content platform systems to support provision of guidelines for contributors and setting up of new titles and collections.

Editorial development:
Wide-ranging support for staff and activities, to include:
- Support for commissioning processes, to include:
- Research and data collection
- Profiling online sources such as conference schedules, departmental websites …
- Identifying and collecting contact details for potential leads
- Use of bibliographic databases such as Dimensions (for data collection)
- Reporting (data collection and compilation): annual reports, reports for partners, read and publish usage, Top Reviewers, and others
- Support for meetings of Editorial Boards and Publication and Information Committee: coordinating meeting dates, compiling meeting papers and resources, recording meeting minutes
- Gathering feedback from external collaborators, including administration of editor surveys
- Proposal review process for new books and thematic collections: researching and inviting reviewers and collating comments from reviewers and editors
Editorial projects and resources:
- Coordinating the process for contracting new book volumes, in collaboration with Books Commissioning Editor
- Setting up new book volumes and journal thematic collections via Editorial Manager system and Lyell Collection online platform
- Support the provision of editor training on use of EM, in collaboration with Publishing Coordinators and Journal Development Editor / Commissioning Editor
- Support maintenance of online guidelines for editorial contributors via Publishing Support Hub, in collaboration with Pub Hub Advisory Group
- Ad hoc support for copyright permissions process, including liaising with authors towards clearing figure and personal communications, as required
- Market research and data collection for editorial projects. Examples may include AI for publishing, research integrity, tenders and proposals, new partnerships (books)
General:
- Support for Editor and Authors newsletters – coordinating schedule and content, liaising with editorial and marketing colleagues

What we’re looking for …
- Educated to A-level or degree level
- Good IT proficiency (particularly spreadsheets) and full familiarity with the normal range of office software
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent administrative, organisational and time management skills

Cruse Bereavement Support is the UK's leading bereavement charity, offering free support to people affected by grief. As we expand our national volunteering team, we are recruiting a National Volunteer Administrator to provide accurate, timely, and well-organised administrative support across the full volunteer lifecycle.
This is a newly created role and a key part of building a more robust national volunteering infrastructure.
