About Care4Calais
Care4Calais (C4C) is a volunteer-based charity providing essential aid and support for refugees in northern France and the UK. We support through on-the-ground assistance, and advocate for a fair asylum system - including safe routes to the UK with refugee rights on arrival.
We work alongside people seeking safety to ensure access to daily essentials, and fill gaps where state support is not provided. We are here for everyone attempting to navigate the complexities of claiming asylum in the UK - providing access to justice, and practical, welcoming support. We also communicate to the public the need for action in support of refugees. Our vision is an inclusive society where people seeking safety have a safe home and a bright future free from inequality.
In northern France we operate year round from Calais, providing warm clothing, shoes, shelter, services, and assistance to refugees living in appalling conditions.
Across the UK we collect and distribute clothes and other essential items, and provide social support and interaction including language lessons, sport and music workshops. We also help with vital access to legal, medical and educational services. We are a community with the shared goals of creating a just asylum system, and a fair and welcoming society for all refugees.
Our work involves organising successful campaigns against racist UK government policies, such as the Rwanda plan and the use of barracks as accommodation for people seeking sanctuary.
All of Care4Calais' operations are supported by a small, dedicated staff team, who supervise large volunteer teams to provide critical support to asylum seekers and people on the move in both the UK and France.
About the role
The UK Operations team provides essential psychosocial support to people seeking safety through practical services; such as running distributions, delivering English classes and drop ins, as well as activities to promote wellbeing such as trips and sports activities.
The UK Field Operations Manager will be responsible for managing our operations in London, working as part of the UK Field Operations Team to support large teams of grassroots volunteers to provide essential support to people seeking safety.
You will need to onboard and motivate volunteers through continuous engagement and support to ensure that proper safety procedures for effective distributions and activities are in place, well communicated, and consistently applied. The performance of each region and team needs to be regularly assessed and action taken to build capacity and skills where needed. Successful Field Operations Managers will build networks with local charities, community groups and Local Authorities to help grow and develop the operations of the local Care4Calais volunteer teams. As an operation, continuous improvement through research, learning and development of practices and policies will be critical. The successful candidate for this role will be proactive and hardworking with the ability to problem-solve and prioritise effectively. The role would suit someone who is a self-starter, a strong team player and excels working in a varied role. Candidates will need strong organisational skills and must have the ability to make numerous important and compassionate decisions each day.
You will be expected to demonstrate excellent judgement, initiative, integrity, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate with a diverse group of people. You will be part of Care4Calais’ core team in the UK and will report directly to the Chief Operations Officer.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly committed team dedicated to improving the lives of those seeking safety.

Lived Experience Inclusion
We are an anti-racist organisation and a proud member of the Experts by Experience Employment Network (EBE), which aims to create a charitable sector led by individuals with lived experience of the asylum system. As part of our membership, we are dedicated to creating inclusive employment practices that recognise and accommodate the unique circumstances and strengths of people with lived experience. We actively move away from a one-size-fits-all approach, ensuring our recruitment processes are fair, supportive, and accessible.
We warmly encourage applicants with lived experience to make use of the guidance and resources available on the EBE website (ebeemployment.). In addition, applicants with lived experience are welcome to connect with the EBE support team for tailored assistance with completing the application form and, where available, one-to-one interview preparation.
Importantly, we recognise the significant cultural, linguistic, and experiential insights that individuals with lived experience of the UK asylum system bring to this role. As such, all applicants from this background who meet the essential criteria will be automatically shortlisted and invited to interview.

We empower people to find, use, evaluate, and communicate information online and we advocate for a digital ecosystem that is open, equitable and democratic.

We are looking to recruit for a fixed-term, two-year role to deliver and develop our activities in Scotland, and support the wider Programmes team in delivering UK-wide work. For example in 2026, we are planning celebration events across the country for Wikipedia’s 25th, and the post-holder may be involved in their delivery. Some evening and weekend work should also be expected, for which Time Off In Lieu can be taken. Successful post holders of similar roles in the organisation are skilled in advocacy, creative thinking, and project planning.
Purpose of job: To lead the delivery of Wikimedia UK’s activities in Scotland, by developing and running projects with partner institutions, involving and empowering volunteers, and delivering training, as well as supporting programmatic work outwith Scotland.

Actively pursue, set up and manage relationships with partner organisations
Provide support to Wikimedians in Residence
Develop, deliver or support a range of activities, such as Wikipedia editing events, Wiki Loves campaigns, editor meetups and content donations, in partnership with other staff and external stakeholders
Community Engagement and Development (Particularly in relation to Scotland):
Encourage the involvement of volunteers in activities, grow the volunteer base, and provide support for community-led activities
Design and delivery of training to partner organisations and volunteers
Support the volunteer grants programme
Monitoring, Evaluation and Impact:
Report regularly on programme plans, outputs and outcomes, in collaboration with other staff in the Programmes team
Handle documentation and record all programme metrics relevant to the role’s portfolio, including updating CRM records for partnerships, volunteers and activities
Communication and Dissemination:
Contribute to the promotion and dissemination of our work and impact, in collaboration with the Communications team, and including for example blog posts and conference presentations.
Manage and update the Scotland mailing list, and Scotland pages on WMUK’s Wiki and website.
Contribute to knowledge exchange with the international Wikimedia movement
Travel:
Attend and contribute to regular team meetings, generally held in London (for which costs will be reimbursed)
Regular travel across Scotland will be required, and occasionally further afield in the UK (for which costs will be reimbursed)
Person Specification
Essential:
Experience in the cultural, education or open knowledge sectors, with a demonstrable understanding of how organisations in at least one of these sectors operate and what they might value in a partnership.
Proven track record of managing external relationships or partnerships, including initiating and sustaining productive working relationships with a range of stakeholders over time.
Experience planning and delivering public-facing events or programmes, such as training sessions, workshops, community events, or editing/contribution events, from inception through to evaluation.

Who are we?
We are SafeLives, the UK-wide charity dedicated to ending domestic abuse, for everyone and for good.
We work with organisations across the UK to transform the response to domestic abuse. We want what you would want for your best friend. We listen to survivors, putting their voices at the heart of our thinking. We look at the whole picture for each individual and family to get the right help at the right time to make families everywhere safe and well. And we challenge perpetrators to change, asking ‘why doesn’t he stop?’ rather than ‘why doesn’t she leave?’ This applies whatever the gender of the victim or perpetrator and whatever the nature of their relationship.
Last year alone, nearly 13,500 professionals received our training. Over 70,000 adults at risk of serious harm or murder and more than 85,000 children received support through dedicated multi-agency support designed by us and delivered with partners. In the last four years, over 2,000 perpetrators have been challenged and supported to change by interventions we created with partners, and that’s just the start.
Together we can end domestic abuse. Forever. For everyone.
About The Drive Partnership
The Drive Partnership, established by Respect, SafeLives, and Social Finance in 2015, is working to end domestic abuse and protect victim-survivors by disrupting, challenging, and changing the behaviour of those who are causing harm. The Drive Partnership does this through the development of innovative perpetrator responses and advocating for systems and policy change to develop sustainable, national systems that respond more effectively to all perpetrators to increase the safety and freedom of all adult and child victim-survivors.
Purpose
Following a four-year investment from the Home Office announced in July 2025, the Drive Project – the Drive Partnership’s flagship intervention for high-risk, high-harm and serial perpetrators of domestic abuse – will expand across all areas in England and Wales, with the vast majority of funding flowing directly to local perpetrator services and victim-survivor services by nature of the Drive Project’s model.
To support the safe implementation of the expansion of the Drive Project intervention, we are seeking a proactive, solution focused individual to work with Drive Partnership and SafeLives, and our delivery sites to ensure our Data Protection policies and practice are up to date, and being consistently adhered to.
This is a new role and will spend two days working to support the Drive Partnership and one day to support SafeLives directly. For more information on SafeLives and the Drive Partnership, please see below.
The role is sensitive by nature and involves dealing with highly confidential and complex information.
Position context
This role sits within the Finance Department and is a critical support function across SafeLives and the Drive Partnership . The Data Protection Officer will be managed by the IT and Compliance Manager and will also work closely with the Head of Operations and Practice Advisors in the Drive Partnership, and , Heads and the Leadership Team to ensure the smooth operating of the business.
Responsibilities
Person Specification
Experience
Strong working knowledge of UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, PECR, and ICO guidance and with relevant qualifications. Experience managing data protection compliance within a charity, public sector, or safeguarding‑focused organisation. Understanding of safeguarding principles, particularly relating to domestic abuse, confidentiality, and safe data‑sharing protocols.
Skills
Competencies

SafeLives is committed to providing equal opportunities for all, irrespective of age, disability, race, sex, religion/belief, sexuality, gender identity, marital/civil partnership, pregnancy/maternity and working patterns. We are keen to have staff that appropriately represents all the communities we serve as an organisation.
Lived Experience
We believe there is no ‘them and us’ in domestic abuse, and recognise that applicants may have direct or indirect experience of their own, whether disclosed or not. We are committed to placing lived experience of domestic abuse at the heart of all we do, and colleagues who chose to share their personal expertise can do so openly and with organisational support.
If there is any discussion during the course of the recruitment process regarding a candidate's personal experience of domestic abuse, it will be treated confidentially and will not be shared outside of the interview panel/Human Resources.

We are a not-for-profit, membership, organisation for over 124,000 colleagues from the civil service and public sector.
Many of us have discovered the joy and the necessity of spending time in nature. Whether alone or with family, we’ve found that connecting with green spaces helps us become more: more resilient, more creative, more at ease. Across the UK, our national parks provide the perfect setting to continue that journey… to explore more.
Prospectus are proud to be supporting our client on the growth of their pioneering Nature Based Solutions (NbS) work. NPP identifies, secures and manages commercial and strategic partnerships for the UK’s 15 national parks. It’s a small, ambitious and entrepreneurial organisation, committed to increasing the impact, resources and influence of these vital landscapes, helping us all to #BeMoreOutside.
As part of this ambition, we are now seeking a Project Feasibility Manager to join a newly established, DEFRA-funded Feasibility & Modelling Unit.
Working within a specialist NbS team, you will play a key role in shaping early-stage nature recovery projects across national parks and bational landscapes. This is an exciting opportunity to sit at the intersection of conservation, land management and green finance. You’ll help project teams understand what’s possible, what impact can be achieved, and how projects can be funded through emerging nature markets.
Working closely with park teams on the ground, you will take a consultative approach, assessing project ideas, modelling ecosystem services, and identifying opportunities to generate revenue through mechanisms such as carbon credits, biodiversity net gain (BNG), and other payments for ecosystem services. You’ll support the development of compelling, evidence-based feasibility studies and help build a pipeline of investable nature projects across the UK.
You’ll be working in an evolving and fast-moving space, where your ability to adapt, think critically and communicate complex ideas clearly will be key.
You will bring experience from an environmental consultancy or conservation background alongside a strong understanding of nature recovery and UK nature markets. Comfortable working with data, you’ll have experience of modelling, feasibility work or ecosystem service assessment, and ideally some exposure to natural capital approaches and relevant standards or codes.
A well organised and proactive self-starter, you’ll be confident managing multiple projects in a remote environment, whilst building effective, collaborative relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
This is a fully remote role, with travel across the UK to national parks and team meet-ups. Candidates must be willing and able to travel as required.
As a specialist Recruitment Practice, Prospectus is committed to building inclusive and diverse organisations, and we welcome applications from all sections of the community. We invest in your journey as a candidate and are here to support you throughout the process.
To apply, please submit your CV and a cover letter detailing your relevant experience for this role.
