Job description

XLP is a youth work charity working to create positive futures for young people and at the cutting edge of tackling poverty and educational failure in inner London. We deliver holistic, long-term work with young people aged 11 to 25 in schools and communities.

It is a significant time of change for us, as we seek to become the modern, impact-driven, medium sized charity that we want to be. We are keen to better track young people’s progress and outcomes, for better data collection and analysis, and better reporting to funders, all of which have begun.

We are seeking to embed the Impact function deeply into the charity to learn from wider research, best practice and our youth work delivery data and insights to achieve our intended outcomes for young people and beyond that to influence the London-wide youth sector.

As we launch our new five-year strategy it is paramount that we can evidence that we are working with the young people who need us most and that what we are doing is making a positive difference in their lives.

We are looking for a Head of Impact who is passionate about supporting young people in London to achieve positive outcomes in their lives. You will be motivated to use your experience and skills to train, support and enable the youth work team to better evidence their work, contribute to programme design and quality improvements and measure progress towards outcomes for young people.

You will be a confident communicator with the skills to make complex information and systems easy and simple for the team to use day to day. You will also have a keen interest in data visualisation and creating dashboards to inform and drive youth work delivery and leadership decision making. You will also manage an Impact Officer, who will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our Salesforce CRM.
