About the Service

Our counselling service provides one-to-one counselling to survivors of domestic abuse, providing an assessment and 15-20 counselling sessions. The Counselling Service provides support to survivors across London and witin the community, as well as through refuge-based CYP and adult counselling services.

The core service is open 9.00am to 5.00pm. However, appointments can be arranged outside of these hours if required, and may offer flexibility around working hours.

About the role

We are looking for a Clinical Lead to join our counselling service, which provides one-to-one counselling to survivors of domestic abuse. The Clinical Lead delivers line management support to a team of Counsellors and Therapists, supporting with clinical decision making across the counselling service. The Clinical Lead will also work from a trauma-informed perspective, and use multi-modal interventions considering the needs of a diverse group of survivors of domestic abuse.

About you

The ideal candidate will offer a trauma-informed perspective to therapeutic intervention and clinical decision making. They will also have great organisational skills, good communication skills (both written and verbal), and an ability to manage their own workload. You will be able to balance competing priorities and support the wider counselling team to deliver a high-quality service to the survivors accessing support.

Fiduciary Risk Manager

The Role

A rare opportunity has arisen and we are expanding our Fiduciary Team. We are seeking to appoint a Fiduciary Risk Manager to join our established Fiduciary Risk team working on the financial management of funds and grants awarded to new and existing grantees. 

MannionDaniels seeks a Fiduciary Risk Manager to support the management of two funding rounds under the GSMA Innovation Fund:

· Mobile For Humanitarian funding round

· Impactful AI funding round

The fund works with tech start-ups Africa and Asia utilizing AI and mobile solutions for humanitarian impact. MannionDaniels have been contracted by GSMA to deliver this funding mechanism and works alongside the grant team in GSMA.

Within these two funding rounds, all grants have already been contracted and are in operation.  The role will primarily involve the management of a small portfolio of grantees, and leadership of a team of 2 Fiduciary Risk Officers who will manage grants covering the rest of the portfolio.

The Fund is funded by UK Aid from the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) and is supported by the GSMA and its members.

Reporting to the GSMA Team Lead, you will lead the management of the financial side of the grants and mitigating fiduciary risks. Experienced in financial review and reporting, you will conduct due diligence and use financial analysis to provide accurate, financial reports.

About you

You will be a Graduate with a minimum of 8 years’ experience or have comparable experience in a financial/fiduciary role and, be able to competently demonstrate the following.

• Lead on management of the Fund Manager’s portfolio in the GSMA Innovation Fund for Impactful AI and Mobil for Humanitarian
• Lead the financial side of the grant closure process
• Provide technical support for the grant management teams ensuring budget templates and financial reporting processes are understood and adhered to.
• Provide leadership to two Fiduciary Risk Officers.

Strong written and communication skills are a prerequisite, alongside proficient use of MS Office and advanced Excel.

As Deputy Clinical Lead, you will be responsible for providing the leadership, operational management, supervision, training and support of the senior HI CBT therapists, LI CBT therapists and counselors in Mind in Bexley IAPT working closely with the Head of Psychological Therapies and Clinical Lead and Service Lead in delivering the objectives of the service.

You are required to work autonomously within professional guidelines and exercise responsibility for the systematic governance of psychological practice within the service/team. In addition, to utilize research skills for audit, policy and service development and to propose and implement policy changes within the area served by the team/service.

We are looking for a highly experienced clinician with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, who will provide clinical supervision, management and leadership to the senior clinicians and ensures that the service operates in accordance with NICE guidelines.

The post involves being able to work flexibly and to be able to work at least one evening session (i.e. 12am – 8pm one day).

Main responsibilities

• · Oversee clinical caseloads of clinical staff and report findings in management meetings as requested.
• · Support the Step 2 and Step 3 leads within the office and staff working remotely in ensuring the safe and clinically effective case management of cases, including the oversee of duty supervision.
• · Ensure that the fidelity of treatment across the service is upheld and any issues reported
• · Ensure the consistency of supervision decisions across the service and to escalate any reported problems
• · Ensure that staff are regularly informed of any chances to service policies and adhere to protocols.
• · Provide a specialist psychological advice, guidance, and consultation to staff in primary care, contributing directly to client’s formulation and treatment. This will include assessment, individual and group interventions, risk management and referral on to other mental health services as required.
• · Provide specialist advice on psychological aspects of risk assessment and risk management and including liaising with staff across all sectors of care (for example primary care, secondary care and specialist/tertiary services). This will include support for all staff at Mind in Bexley when present in the office.
• · Support the Head of Psychological Therapies IAPT and Clinical Lead and Service Lead with service performance responsibilities and representing the service at the external meetings, e.g. with G.P’s and ICB commissioners and other meetings as needed.
• · Support the Safeguarding Lead with Safeguarding staff queries across the organisation with documentation and management. This includes regular attendance at the local safeguarding meetings as required.
• · Support the Head of Psychological Therapies as a senior clinician, manager and leader for a team of psychologists, psychological therapists and trainees. This will include governance responsibilities, creating and implementing polices, service development, recruitment, performance reviews etc.
• · Working closely with the Head of Psychological Therapies IAPT and the Service Lead to maintain electronic systems for referrals, appointments, activity and outcome monitoring for performance management, including continuous audit and evaluation of service. Ensure appropriate use and administration of such systems by other members of staff within the service and provide support when needed.
• Communicate across language and cultural barriers, including working for sustained periods of time by communicating with patients, carers or groups through professional interpreters or advocates.

Person specification 

Education/Qualifications 

Essential 

• Doctoral level training in Clinical or Counselling Psychology plus further post graduate level diploma qualification training in a psychological therapy which may be CBT or another IAPT appropriate evidence based therapy (i.e. IPT) and/or Qualification from High Intensity IAPT Course or equivalent of BABCP accredited Post Graduate CBT training course.

• Accredited as a cognitive behavioural psychotherapist by the British Association of Cognitive & Behavioural Psychotherapies (BABCP) or nearing completion of accreditation process. 

• Minimum four years post qualification and significant experience working as a fully qualified psychological therapy practitioner and demonstrating the competences as required.

• Significant experience of working within primary care psychology and/ or Talking Therapy service 

• Formal training in supervision and experience of training and supervising qualified and pre -qualification psychologists, and/or high intensity and low intensity CBT therapists and counsellors. 

• Experience of exercising full clinical responsibility for patients’ psychological care and treatment, both as a clinician, supervisor and team coordinator.

• Experience of work in a multi -cultural setting, including working with interpreters. 

• Managerial experience and experience in leading a team of therapists and counsellors 

• Evidence of continuing professional development.

About the Service 

The Multiple Disadvantage role is aimed at providing specialist support services to women living in refuge with multiple needs, who have experienced domestic or sexual violence, and who have mental illness or use substances problematically. You will liaise with partner agencies ensuring services delivered are of the highest standard in line with the organisation aims and objectives.

About the Role 

You will work with women living in refuge within 2 London boroughs, to devise a support plan that meets their immediate practical and emotional needs and start the process of recovery, linking women into more specialist support services where required. The Multiple Disadvantage Worker will undertake risk assessments, safety plans and identify support needs of women such as accessing benefits, budgeting, and explore re settlement pathways from the refuge. You will promote social inclusion, encourage independence and development of personal resilience. You will build up support network for women, promoting and enabling engagement with other services. You will work in partnership with the refuge workers to deliver holistic support to the Multiple Disadvantage (MD) service users in each refuge. You will be expected to work with and support 5 service users in each borough.You will also be required to take on additional tasks in the refuge i.e. health and safety checks, reporting repairs, welfare checks etc.

About You 

You're an individual who has previous relevant experience and direct work within specialist support services to women/families with multiple needs. You'll also have case work experience, providing proactive and emotional support to women who have experienced domestic abuse and provide the support to enable them to recover and rebuild their lives.You bring experience of effective multi‑agency working and a proactive approach to building strong, collaborative partnerships, always representing the organisation with professionalism.

 We’re looking for a Finance Manager with strong experience in financial management, analysis, and reporting to ensure our day-to-day finances and budgets run smoothly while supporting effective long-term decision-making.  Financial oversight, planning, and reporting

Review all financial transactions related to the ADB project on a monthly basis and ensure that they are correct including cost recovery, co-financing, bank balances, and coding.

Ensure the ADB project is up to date in the Grant Management Tracker, Co-financing Tracker and Cost Recovery forecast.

Prepare financial information for internal reporting, including contributions to quarterly CEO reports, monthly dashboards, and co-finance updates.

Prepare all ADB project donor financial reports and ensure consistency with internal data.

Prepare and submit other donor financial reports as required.

Monitor project and portfolio spending, flagging significant under & overspends in a timely manner to the Programme Finance Manager and Programmes & Partnerships team.

 Financial controls, compliance, and audit

Lead financial planning and monitoring for the ADB project, ensuring alignment with ADB compliance requirements and AKF(UK) internal controls.

Support the design and implementation of quality controls, manuals, checklists, and tools to ensure compliance with donor requirements (ADB and others).

Oversee compliance with donor and AKF(UK) rules on procurement, accounting, and project expenditure, supported by reporting, engagement with the field, and spot checks.

Maintain internal tools (including AIMS) to track active ADB grants as well as other grants, ensuring data on secured funding, cost recovery, and cash balances remains up to date.

Prepare for and support donor and statutory audits, with particular responsibility for the ADB project while also contributing to audits of other grants.

Maintain an up-to-date audit and disallowance tracker for the ADB project, while supporting the Programme Finance Manager in tracking audit issues across all grants.

Troubleshoot donor compliance or procurement queries, with emphasis on ADB but extending to other donor portfolios where needed.

Act as a resource person for ADB donor compliance within AKF(UK), while sharing knowledge and lessons learned more widely across the grants portfolio.

Support wider Programme Finance team capacity-building efforts, drawing on insights from ADB donor requirements and practices.

Grant financial management

In close consultation with the programmes & partnerships team:

Maintain accurate financial records and grant codes for the ADB project, while supporting the set-up and management of other grants as needed.
Ensure timely submission of cash requests and sub-grant agreements, in compliance with both ADB and AKF(UK) standards, and support the same across the wider portfolio.

Review budgets for ADB and other donor concepts/proposals, ensuring inclusion of AKF(UK) costs, compliance with donor requirements, and consistency with narratives.

Support the in-country project management unit (PMU) to ensure that the project is robustly managed and proactively support the resolution of challenges as they arise.

Provide training and reference materials for implementing partners and field staff on ADB-specific donor regulations, procurement, and reporting, while contributing to broader finance training across the organisation.

Provide technical support and guidance to implementing partners and country units, with particular focus on ADB compliance but also assisting with other donor requirements as needed.

Conduct monitoring visits and spot checks on the ADB project and participate in risk monitoring across the wider portfolio.

Collaborate with the assigned Senior Partnerships Manager to align financial management with programme delivery.
Carry out any other duties as assigned by the Programme Finance Manager or the Head of Finance and Operations.
The role will involve travel to countries in which we operate grants, particularly Afghanistan (security situation dependent). Normally this could be 1-2 trips per year.
