Key responsibilities
Fundraising and income growth
Work with the Fundraising Director and COO to deliver BrainWaves’ fundraising strategy and annual income plan.
Manage and grow a pipeline across trusts and foundations, major donors, corporates and individual giving.
Research and develop new prospects, partnerships and sustainable income opportunities.
Prepare compelling cases for support, grant applications, proposals, presentations and donor communications.
Take ownership of agreed income targets, deadlines and activity plans, monitoring performance and forecasting income.
Manage funder and supporter relationships from initial approach through to reporting and stewardship.
Major donors, corporates and supporters
Work with the Fundraising Director, trustees, senior volunteers and specialist advisers to identify, cultivate and steward high-value prospects.

Establish clear and consistent processes for recording and using fundraising information.
Produce regular pipeline, income and forecasting reports and use data to identify opportunities, gaps and risks.
Ensure information from JustGiving and other platforms is captured and followed up appropriately.
Maintain high standards of data protection, fundraising compliance and data quality.
Collaborative working
Work closely with the Fundraising Director and experienced freelance specialists in fundraising strategy, major gifts and events.

About you
You will be a confident and proactive fundraiser with strong experience in at least one income stream and an appetite to broaden your expertise.

The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to shape and grow Perennial's trusts and foundations fundraising programme.
Our current trust income is modest but established, with a loyal group of family trust supporters generating circa £50,000–£60,000 annually against a growing pipeline of opportunities. We have recently strengthened our Services Directorate, creating a culture where colleagues are increasingly developing new projects and approaches that have strong potential for charitable funding.
We believe there is significant untapped opportunity within both our existing services and emerging projects. From advice and advocacy services to health, wellbeing, family support and employability programmes, Perennial delivers work that aligns strongly with the priorities of many charitable trusts and foundations.
This role is as much about developing fundable opportunities as it is about writing applications. We are looking for someone who enjoys building as well as managing; someone capable of identifying opportunities, developing persuasive cases for support and helping colleagues transform strong and growing service delivery into compelling funding propositions.

Purpose of the Role
To develop and grow income from charitable trusts and foundations by identifying opportunities, building meaningful relationships and securing significant grants for both core services and project-based activity.
The postholder will play a key role in strengthening Perennial's readiness for trust fundraising by helping colleagues develop projects, articulate impact, evidence need and create compelling cases for support.
A central aspect of the role will be collaborating with teams across the organisation to bring our work to life for funders, helping colleagues translate their expertise, ideas and service delivery into attractive and fundable propositions.
The successful candidate will maximise support from Perennial's existing trust and foundation partners whilst developing a strong pipeline of new funders capable of supporting both current services and future strategic priorities. Community Fundraising Manager
Salary: Outer London Business Support Scale, Grade 5\6 (Spine Points 21.1 – 28), £32,064 - £36,579 per annum inclusive of London Weighting.
Location: Copthall House, 9 The Pavement, Grove Road, Sutton, Surrey, SM1 1DA
Working Pattern: Hybrid working with a minimum of 2 days per week in the office; travel across all OHC&AT sites and to external meetings required, including at weekends, for which time off in lieu will be given. Orchard Hill College & Academy Trust (OHC&AT) is a family of specialist education providers for pupils and students from nursery to further education. We operate across academies and college centres in London, Surrey, Sussex and Berkshire. We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Community Fundraising Manager to join our growing fundraising team.
This exciting new role will lead community and regional corporate fundraising activity, developing partnerships with local businesses, community groups and supporters to generate income that transforms opportunities for our pupils and students. You'll help bring inspiring projects to life, including initiatives such as Tom's Farm at Nightingale Community Academy, while delivering engaging fundraising campaigns, events and partnerships.

About you and the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Fundraising Officer to join our Partnerships and Engagement team. This is a brilliant opportunity to support a broad portfolio across income streams including Trusts and Foundations, Corporate Partnerships, and Major Donors.
You will play a crucial role in our fundraising efforts by leading prospect research to identify new funding opportunities to build a strong pipeline. You will support the Senior Partnership Manager and Philanthropy Manager to grow a portfolio of trusts, corporate partners and philanthropists. You will also be responsible for maintaining the CRM database (Beacon) and administrative tasks. This varied role is perfect for someone who enjoys building relationships and coordinating meaningful supporter engagement opportunities. Key responsibilities
Lead prospect research to build a strong pipeline of trusts, corporates and major donors which align with our mission. This includes network mapping to identify existing connections and relationships.
Act as the CRM champion for fundraising, ensuring all donor interactions and details are accurately recorded and updated.
Support in developing and maintaining inspiring stewardship and engagement plans for funders and supporters.
Provide events support; logistics, guestlist management and other duties where required.
Prepare insightful briefings for the Senior Leadership Team ahead of key funder meetings.
Work with the communications team to create engaging end of term/ annual reports for key funders and donors.
Monitor sector trends and newly launched funding rounds to ensure we never miss an opportunity.
Work with the finance team to process donations and Gift Aid declarations, ensuring thank-yous are sent out promptly.
Pull regular financial and pipeline reports from the database to assist with team forecasting and planning.
Provide warm supporter care as the first point of contact for public fundraising inquiries.
Support the delivery of digital appeals, regular giving, and community fundraising initiatives.
Essential skills & experience
You have at least 1–2 years of experience in a charity fundraising environment.
You have interest and belief in our mission, to improve child health through improving food and food education in schools.
You are an excellent writer and communicator with strong presentation and communication skills.
You have experience of using CRM software.
You have strong research skills and experience synthesizing complex information into succinct and accessible copy.
You are highly organised and can juggle multiple deadlines while maintaining a sharp eye for detail.

What success looks like
Within the first 12 to 18 months, success in this role is likely to include a comprehensive knowledge of our existing fundraising model and key funders, taking the lead in prospect research, leading on account management of restaurant partners, small to medium scale fundraising campaigns, and supporting with event organisation. You will also have gained a comprehensive knowledge of the organisational strategy and the wider school food system.
