About the role

You will play an important role in helping Macmillan harness philanthropy to deliver our mission. Macmillan Ventures is our impact investing programme, backing the most promising technologies in the sector – from precision medicine to AI‑enabled diagnostics – by partnering with some of the most exciting start‑ups in the world to transform cancer care.

In this role, you will build and inspire a community of forward‑thinking philanthropists to provide the capital needed to power this work. You will help shape and grow Macmillan Venture Partners, positioning it as a compelling, high‑impact opportunity for philanthropists who want to combine charitable purpose with an interest in innovation and venture capital.

Working closely with a network of senior volunteers, investment professionals, entrepreneurs and technology pioneers, you will unlock new relationships, grow significant income and strengthen Macmillan’s position as a leader in philanthropic impact investing. This is a highly collaborative role at the intersection of philanthropy, innovation and cancer care.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop new and existing high‑net‑worth relationships in support of Macmillan Ventures.
• Deliver income against an ambitious multi‑million‑pound campaign target over the next five years.
• Steward and cultivate high‑value gifts (£50k to £1m+) from high‑net‑worth individuals with a strong interest in delivering Macmillan’s mission through innovation and venture capital.
• Contribute to shaping our Impact Investing proposition, working closely with the wider Philanthropy and Macmillan Ventures team to create a compelling case for support.
• Inspire and support a network of senior volunteers to expand our reach and grow support, particularly among investment professionals, entrepreneurs and technology pioneers.
• Work closely with the Stewardship and Operations team to drive a data‑led approach to fundraising, including prospect research, pipeline management and impact evaluation.
• Collaborate with Corporate Partnerships colleagues to ensure a joined‑up approach to cultivation and stewardship across the wider division.

About you

You will be an experienced high‑value fundraiser who brings:

• A track record of securing six‑ and seven‑figure donations from high‑net‑worth individuals.
• Experience of working with senior volunteers to grow networks and secure donations.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑management skills, with the confidence to lead relationships with successful, high‑profile donors.
• Experience of working across a large, complex organisation to deliver a great donor experience.
• Experience of using data and insight to drive fundraising activity.

About the role 

We’re looking for a Senior Content Manager on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. You’ll lead on all content across the organisation, including two blogs (our Career Advice blog for candidates and our Recruiter Insights blog for recruiters), our email and e-newsletter copy, sales collateral, product messaging, PR campaigns and anything else needing an expert editorial eye. 

Annual leave: 25 days (+ bank holidays) 
Reporting line: you’ll report to the Marketing Director and be part of the Marketing team. 
Hours: 9am-5.30pm (with reduced hours of 9am – 5pm in December and August). Flexibility will be considered.

• Working closely with our external agency to manage digital PR campaigns to raise awareness of CharityJob and our products with trade, local and national press. 

• Editing product copy to make sure that the right messages and prompts appear in the right places and in the right tone of voice across our website and products to help achieve business objectives. 

• Producing supporting or customer-facing documents for our sales team. 

• Writing guides and other long-form content, and briefing designers to deliver a finished product.

This job is for you if:

The Vacancy

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Researcher to make a significant contribution on a 2-year fixed term contract to the design, delivery and management of research and evidence projects at NCB. Research projects at NCB involve a range of methods, often using a mixed-methods approach, that include evidence synthesis and systematic reviews, literature reviews, primary research using qualitative and quantitative methods and secondary data analysis.

A key focus of this role will be leading and delivering high-quality evidence synthesis, as a core component of our research portfolio.

NCB’s research focuses on a broad range of topic areas on behalf of a range of trusts and foundations, statutory, academic, voluntary and community sector funders, including social care and the transition to adulthood; education; mental health & wellbeing; youth violence and early years.

The postholder will work across a range of projects including the topics above and using a range of methods as appropriate, ensuring their work is delivered to NCB’s quality standards.

About the role

We are looking for an exceptional individual fundraiser to join the Philanthropy team at King’s College London, leading on fundraising for The Dickson Poon School of Law.

This role will be responsible for managing a portfolio of major gift prospects, securing and stewarding significant philanthropic gifts at the £50k to £5 million gift level, supporting senior stakeholders with their fundraising efforts, and championing the work and priorities of King’s and the Dickson Poon School of Law.

The team will play a crucial role in the delivery of the University’s ambition to significantly scale philanthropic income for faculties, as we prepare to launch our next major fundraising campaign in 2027 and mark the university’s bicentenary in 2029.

We will build on our already successful fundraising to achieve ambitious new goals for philanthropy – creating strong partnerships across campus and with donors, to realise shared priorities and deliver strategic impact.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with academic and professional service colleagues across King’s to secure significant philanthropic income to support student outcomes and drive world-leading teaching and research.

The Dickson Poon School of Law, King’s College London is one of the oldest law schools in England. The School’s research and teaching address some of the most pressing questions of our time relating to equality and human rights, the legal implications of climate change, globalisation, international relations, trade, competition and global finance, to name but a few. Members of The Dickson Poon School of Law advise governments, serve on commissions and public bodies and are seconded to national and international organisations, helping to shape policy and practice nationally and internationally.

This is a full time (35 hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract. P&A has a hybrid working approach, with a minimum of 40% of time in the office. Typically, this equates to two days per week, but we’re very happy for colleagues to be in more frequently if they so wish.

2. Experience of qualifying and cultivating new philanthropic relationships.

The Research Team at Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) is dedicated to funding groundbreaking research to understand, diagnose, and cure dementia diseases. ARUK funds dementia research through an extensive portfolio of grant schemes and strategic initiatives both nationally and internationally.

The Research Officer will play a significant role in supporting the Senior Research Manager and other Research Managers. They will support the creation of grant processes for the administration of smaller value grants, lead the associated grant processes and contribute to work supporting our Research Network.  This role is essential to foster ARUK's research objectives and provide continual support for our research community. 2. Briefings: Produce concise policy briefings, data summaries, and position papers for GuildHE members and leadership on key Research and Innovation issues (e.g., REF, knowledge exchange, KEF, commercialisation, research culture, open research). Develop high-quality external reports, consultations, blogs and other materials articulating member challenges and opportunities.

What the job involves

As Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, you’ll play a central role in helping us understand and demonstrate the real difference our work makes. You’ll manage the development and delivery of monitoring and evaluation frameworks for our Health Equity, Services and Improvement directorate, ensuring we can track our progress against Prostate Cancer UK’s new strategy with confidence. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the organisation, helping them evaluate their work and feel more confident using data in their day-to-day roles. What we want from you

You’ll bring strong expertise in monitoring, evaluation and learning, with experience of applying approaches such as theory of change, outcome harvesting and logic models in practice. Experience in data visualisation is important, and familiarity with tools like Tableau or Power BI would be a bonus.

About the role

At SEA, all our work is grounded in evidence and shaped by the lived experiences of victim-survivors. As Research Officer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, survivor-centred research on economic abuse as part of a major new three-year project funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC).

Working closely with the Senior Research Officer, colleagues across SEA, academic partners and external stakeholders, you will support research exploring coerced debt as a form of economic abuse and the responses to it across systems and services. The role will involve qualitative and quantitative research activities, including data collection, analysis, stakeholder engagement, and producing accessible and impactful research outputs.

Your work will help strengthen understanding of economic abuse and inform policy, practice and systems change on coerced debt that improves responses for victim-survivors.

About you

You are a skilled researcher who is passionate about conducting high-quality research which can create real-world impact for victim-survivors of economic abuse.

You will have the ability to sensitively work with victim-survivors to learn about their lived experiences of economic abuse , including coerced debt, as well as the ability to conduct research with professional stakeholders.

Using your research skills, you will be able to analyse data, and will be able to demonstrate a good understanding of economic abuse in the context of intimate partner abuse, including of how perpetrators can misuse systems to enact abuse. You will be able to demonstrate an ability to deliver research projects in a timely manner and to communicate findings clearly to a range of stakeholders.

Economic abuse occurs when someone’s partner controls (through restriction, exploitation and/or sabotage) how they acquire, use and maintain economic resources such as accommodation, food, clothing and transportation.
