We exist to end the harm done through gender-based violence. Our aim is to work to prevent violence and abuse, as well as providing services to meet the individual needs of survivors, particularly women and children. Our work is holistic and empowering, working alongside survivors to achieve independent lives, free from abuse.

About the Service

Solace is embarking on a new five-year fundraising strategy, with ambitious plans to double fundraised income to £3m by 2031. This voluntary income plays a pivotal role in the financial wellbeing of the charity, enabling us to do more to support the thousands of women and children who come to us each year as a result of violence against women and girls.

Fundraising at Solace works closely with colleagues responsible for winning and managing statutory funding contracts, and is situated within the Business Development Directorate, alongside our award-winning Communications, Partnerships & Public Affairs teams. You will collaborate with colleagues within Fundraising – including Corporate, Individual Giving and Community – as well as across the organisation including senior leadership and Solace’s wider support and volunteer networks such as trustees and its lived-experience-led Shadow Board.

About the Role

This role will lead on our organisational approach to individual giving, legacies, campaigns and appeals, and community fundraising. The role plays an important part in raising vital unrestricted income and connecting us with our loyal supporters.

About You

You will be a collaborative, creative and solution-focused with the ability to drive forward an unrestricted fundraising strategy that both connects us with our local roots and deliver campaigns and projects that have national reach and drive income.

With a knowledge and an understanding of individual giving and campaigns and ideally some experience of legacy and community fundraising to develop individual giving. Working closely with our Communications Team, you will bring a creativity and storytelling to our fundraising.

Re-Instate’s Early Intervention Employment Service supports local people struggling with their mental health at the earliest possible stage through a range of employment related services. In addition, we are looking to deliver a range of training workshops to support clients of the service and local organisations.

The post holder will:

• Be responsible for managing, monitoring, delivering and evaluating employment activities to ensure that contract outcome targets are met.
• Support the implementation of organisational initiatives of Re-Instate.
• Take an active role in the delivery, management, monitoring and evaluation of any initiatives developed as part of the Early Intervention Service.
• Support clients to retain paid and voluntary work through employer engagement.
• Provide information to assist in strategic decision making.
• Represent Re-Instate within the London borough of Bexley.
• Work with the Training and Outreach Co-ordinator to promote the Early Intervention Service.

The post-holder will need project development experience and a working, knowledge of models of supported employment. They will be an effective networker, able to develop and sustain partnerships with a range of stakeholders.

 Key Activities:

• Promote and deliver the vision for the Early Intervention Service that supports sustainable recovery for people experiencing mental ill health, including job retention, job searching, preparation for work and signposting.

This role will manage all of Ben’s social media channels to grow audience numbers and improve engagement with our followers.  This person will also play a key role in developing and implementing customer journeys and campaigns to support Ben’s fundraising, services and community activities.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and committed Deputy Children and Young People (CYP) Lead to support the development and delivery of our therapeutic services at a pivotal time of growth and transformation.
 

Reporting to the CYP Clinical Lead, the successful candidate will play a key role in providing day-to-day leadership and guidance to CYP counsellors and therapists. You will help ensure that services for children and young people are consistently safe, effective, trauma-informed, and survivor-centred.

SAFE Cardiff  

SAFE in the City is a pilot project that brings our award-winning SAFE project to the City of Cardiff area. Funded by the Moondance Foundation and the Baily Thomas Charitable Fund, SAFE (Sexual Awareness for Everyone) is a project that empowers young people with learning disabilities a peer-led environment. It aims to improve the knowledge of topics relating to healthy relationships and sexual health, mate crime, and internet safety. It focuses on young people aged 16-35 with additional learning needs in addition to offering support to their families. 

SAFE is facilitated with peer-led workshops. The aim of this project is to empower young people with additional learning needs to lead the conversation and education around their own relationships improving knowledge and awareness of these topics for our beneficiaries of this project. 

Job purpose 

The successful candidate will deliver a pilot project, taking our SAFE project to Cardiff. You’ll be responsible for forging new connections and seeking opportunities in the area to deliver our SAFE workshops, encouraging the participation of volunteers wherever possible. The role will involve workshop delivery as well as volunteer recruitment and management. Working alongside an existing colleague in Gwent, you’ll develop and consolidate our workshop materials, to ensure that they’re meeting the needs of the young people participating.

1. Deliver SAFE workshops throughout the Cardiff area, involving volunteers in delivery where possible.

Mae profiad perthnasol ac aliniad i’n gwerthoedd yn mwyaf bwysig i’r rôl hon na cymwysterau sbesiffig.

Lleoliad:

Mi fydd y rôl yn seilio o’r cartref, ac mi fydd yna ddisgwyl i’r ymgeisydd llwyddiannus teithio ar draws Caerdydd. Mi fydd yna angen am fynediad da i’r rhyngrwyd i alluogi gweithio o bell, a lle i weithio addas yn y cartref. Caiff offer TG a’i isadeiledd eu cyflenwi gan Volunteering Matters. 

Ein gwerthoedd a dull gweithio 

Mewn popeth yr ydym yn gwneud fel elusen, yr ydym yn ymgrymu agwedd o “Rhyddid efo Fframwaith” a chawn ein harwain gan ein gwerthoedd: i fod yn rymusol, cynhwysol, tosturiol, positif a didwyll. 

Cydraddoldeb a chynhwysiant. 

Mae Volunteering Matters yn estyn croeso i bob ymgeisydd, ac yr ydym yn awyddus i sicrhau mae ei’n dîm yn adlewyrchu amrywiaeth y DU a’r cymunedau yr ydym yn gweithio mewn. Yr ydym yn annog ceisiadau o bobl efo anableddau, pobl LHDT, pobl efo cefndiroedd Du, Asiaidd a Lleiafrifoedd Cenhedlig, ynghyd ac ymgeisydd efo unrhyw nodwedd warchodedig ac o grwpiau difreintiedig.

Addasiadau hyderus a resymol a ran anableddau 

Yr ydym yn gwarantu i gyfweli unrhyw berson efo anabledd sydd efo cais sy’n bodloni’r safon ofynnol am y rôl. Mewn eich cais, darparwch dystiolaeth sy’n adlewyrchu eich cymhwysedd yn erbyn yr adran “Profiad/sgiliau a phriodoleddau” yn y disgrifiad swydd hwn. 

I gael eich ystyried am gyfweliad gwarantedig, neu i drafod unrhyw addasiad rhesymol i’r proses ceisio. 

Yr ydym wedi ymrwymo i’r addewidion canlynon sy’n cwmpasu ein proses recriwtio a dewis a’i methodoleg: The Promise (Yr Alban), Show the Salary, a Salary History.

Mae’r rôl hon yn amodol ar wiriad DBS manylach.
