We are recruiting for a Shop Supervisor to join our wonderful team and deliver an excellent retail service, ensuring that every customer has a great shopping experience. As a valued member of the Age UK team, you will contribute towards maximising shop sales and profits as well as the successful day to day running of the shop, deputising for the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager in their absence.

The successful candidate will support with sales, stock rotation, organising displays, store tidying and much more, whilst representing Age UK in a professional manner and reflecting our core values.

Due to the nature of this role, you will be required to handle/lift bags of stock (up to 10kgs.)

Please note this opportunity will require the successful candidate to work 21 hours across a 7-day working week, including Saturdays and Sundays on a rota basis.

To ensure the smooth running of our stores, we will be conducting interviews throughout the advertising process. Early applications are advised.

The Centre for Progressive Change is looking for a Safe Sick Pay Campaign Director that will be part of the newly formed Executive Team. This is an exciting time to be joining the campaign, as we capitalise on our successes so far and plan for our next big policy gain - increasing the rate of Statutory Sick Pay.

This role will be in charge of the Safe Sick Pay campaign including the strategy to see an increase in the rate of Statutory Sick Pay, fundraising to implement the strategy, hiring campaign team members, supporting the team to implement the strategy, holding the key stakeholder relationships, driving the campaign, and delivering parts of the campaign where needed.

A fixed term opportunity has arisen to join the College’s small but friendly Human Resources department for an Interim HR Manager.

This opportunity has been created to enable the team to deliver critical people related projects and activities which support the college’s team members in the delivery of our strategic aims.

Reporting to the Director of People, the key purpose of the role will be to provide HR related project delivery support to the Director of People, managing and working on the delivery of key change projects to HR practices, managing and delivery of staff engagement, training and development and talent management related business as usual. Also to provide employee relations advice and guidance to College managers and staff.

 The main responsibilities for the role holder will be:

Staff Engagement

• Lead the SEC (Staff Engagement Committee) in the development, launch of the College’s 12 month Wellbeing Calendar of activities to budget for 2027. Lead also in delivery of the Wellbeing Calendar for 2026.
• Manage and fully engage in monthly Staff Engagement Committee meetings. Ensuring HR is represented, the committee has good representation levels and including chairing on a rota basis with members, researching topics and taking forward initiatives and ensuring resourced.
• Manage set up, chair quarterly staff award panels and communicate winners. Review scheme with SEC as needed.

College Onboarding and probations

• Working with the HR team and other relevant stakeholders and departments to develop the College’s Onboarding (including Induction, to include College, Department, Job related, Safety, IT, Compliance, values and EDI modules together with an opportunity for joiners to meet face to face and network). Also develop clear guides for managers around who covers what and a pack to support delivery and launch once agreed.

Training and Personal Development and Policy Review

• Develop and deliver training to managers on all aspects of recruitment and review recruitment to ensure inclusivity and meeting TIDEMARK standards.
• Working with HR Officer to develop College annual training plan for 2027 including sourcing of external solutions and in house delivery of training to meet College training needs and maximise budget.
• Explore, recommend and develop career development opportunities for staff.

HR Advice and processing cover and oversight

• Manage and advise on complex HR cases and provide advice and guidance to HR Officer in Director of People’s absence as and when required.
• Oversee forecasting/gathering ratings and increments at end of year and costing for budgets
• Manage and implement roll over and change to annual leave and toil entitlements for staff for 2027

To be considered for the role candidates will need to be/have:

- CIPD qualified or other relevant qualifications – level 5 upwards or equivalent experience

Purpose of the Job

Rooted Finance provides client focused and impact driven services. The ability to provide first class advisory and casework services that impact individuals, and the communities they live in, is fundamental to the way in which Rooted Finance provides transparent and evidence-based services.

RF is looking for a proven self-starter to support our advice services and preventative initiatives. You’ll be passionate about working with people and committed to delivering a high-quality community engagement and support program. You’ll be adept at delivering comprehensive support to individuals within diverse community settings.

You will be confident in working with community members to grow and develop projects to reach isolated individuals. Working flexibly across dates (including occasional weekend working), times and locations, responding to project and community needs as required.

The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work flexibly with clients. Role Requirements

This role aims to address the additional barriers and needs faced by overindebted individual, ensuring they are supported in navigating these challenges and can focus on the debt advice process effectively. As a Money Engagement Officer you will work across our various community partners, delivering money mentoring support and income maximisation services to local communities with the aim of promoting financial resilience and wellbeing. You will also provide assist in collecting essential documents and information for advisers to progress their cases. You will maintain accurate client and project records and contribute/support Manager(s) with effective project monitoring and reporting. You will capture learning to share with project stakeholders to help inform Rooted Finance’s wider approach to financial inclusion services.

Key functions and impact of the role will include;

Outreach and Engagement: Actively engage overindebted individual through various outreach initiatives such as community events, workshops, and partnerships with local organisations to raise awareness about debt advice to encourage individuals to seek help early and facilitate this through practical 121 support.

Support and guidance: Provide ongoing support needs to keep people with money worries engaged in the debt advice journey. Often people struggling with money worries have additional barriers and needs, this role focuses on the 'support function' which will be available to help people navigate barriers so they can focus on the specialist debt advice needed and offered through Rooted Finance and other support services.

Referral and Collaboration: foster a cohesive relationship to build partnerships and to collaborate with debt advice services, community organisations, and other stakeholders to facilitate referrals and ensure a seamless transition into debt advice services. Maintain strong partnerships with service providers to enhance accessibility and support for individuals in need.

Empowerment and Education: Equip our services users by providing ‘digestible’ financial education, coaching, and advocacy to help them make informed decisions, improve their financial literacy, and build long-term financial resilience. Data Collection and Reporting: maintain accurate records of all outcomes, advocacy and support provided to all individuals, diligently record outcomes to track the effectiveness of the triage process and measure the impact of the engagement efforts on increasing access to debt advice and other services.

Duties & Responsibilities: The main duties will include

1. Work closely with RF advice team in identifying client’ needs to work together to implement a holistic approach to supporting individuals.

2. Manage a joint caseload with debt advisers to ensure successful engagement in the debt advice journey, monitor progress and maintain diligent records across all systems

3. Working closely with advisers to support their more vulnerable clients

4. Delivering both 121 and group sessions to build individuals’ financial knowledge and resilience.

5. Increasing the visibility and awareness of the advice services through external events and roadshows

6. Develop and maintain good working relationships with clients to facilitate engagement in debt advice journey by explaining and outlining what debt advice offers, support to engage in attending debt advice appointment, follow up with obtaining required documents, make effective referrals for additional services and provide on-going support.

7. Draw up a personalised plan supporting clients to access and engage with the extensive range of support available in the community. Actively connect clients with a wide variety of services through signposting for additional help around health, wellbeing, housing, welfare, immigration, social support and financial advice. 

8. Identify aftercare support to help individuals increase their ability around ongoing financial capability and literacy skills and to reduce further and future financial exclusions

9. Working with, and recruiting clients to, our Lived Experience Steering Committee

10. Provide one to one/group sessions to encourage and increase engagement in the debt advice service

11. Develop marketing and creative initiatives to promote and engage with service users to increase uptake in debt advice service and increase full journey completion.

12. Ensure all project monitoring requirements are adhered to and all learning (including risks and opportunities) is captured and recorded in a timely manner.

13. Perform consistent impact measurements on project components, including undertaking financial wellbeing checks before, during and after, beneficiary engagement with RF service in a non-intrusive manner

14. Actively participate in team meetings and work with colleagues and beneficiaries to further develop the project

15. Maintain effective communication between colleagues, stakeholders and beneficiaries at all times.

16. Undertake recommended and self-identified ongoing training and development to ensure gaps in knowledge/skills are acquired to meet requirement of the role and quality assurance processes in timely manner as directed by Supervisor/LM.

As Shop Manager, you will manage our brilliant team of staff and volunteers, providing effective leadership, training, and development.

This Air Ambulance organisation, unlike NHS emergency services, is a charity and is a free life-saving service that is provided 24/7 by helicopters and by rapid response vehicles.

The Head of Individual Giving will be responsible for leading individual giving fundraising strategy and delivery. This will include working across a multi-channel Individual Giving programme to drive the retention and acquisition of donors to grow income generation. Overseeing regular giving, lotteries, and cash giving, Looking to introduce a more robust and proactive appraoch to individual giving, this role will both lead exciting fundraising campaigns, innovations, and stewardship programmes. This role will be a senior member of the Fundraising & Marketing leadership team and will manage a small team. 

To be successful as the Head of Individual Giving, you will have proven experience of leading individual giving fundraising and have managed small teams before. This person will need to demonstrate working towards multimillion-pound targets, and equally demonstrate experience in growing individual giving from various methods including direct marketing and digital fundraising.

Role Purpose 

As Payroll Lead, you will manage HOST’s global payroll operations — ensuring that all staff, contractors, and hosted partners are paid accurately, compliantly, and on time. 

You will bring structure, care, and precision to one of HOST’s most essential services: ensuring the people driving climate and social action receive the financial stability they need to do their best work. 

This role supports both internal HOST staff and hosted partners, liaising across HR, Finance, and Community Support to deliver secure, compliant, and efficient payroll management. You will also help develop new systems and processes as HOST expands internationally, ensuring our operations remain smooth, transparent, and aligned with local legislation. 

Core Responsibilities 

1. Payroll Management 

• Manage all aspects of monthly payroll for UK and international employees, contractors, and hosted partner staff. 

• Prepare and process payroll changes (new hires, terminations, pay adjustments) in line with internal procedures. 

• Ensure timely submission of payroll information to Finance and external providers. 

• Reconcile payroll each month, identifying and resolving any discrepancies. 
   

• Reporting cadence: Monthly payroll cycle; quarterly summary to Operations Director. 

2. Compliance and Record-Keeping 

• Ensure full compliance with UK employment law, tax regulations, and international payroll requirements in collaboration with external providers. 

• Maintain accurate and confidential employee and contractor records. 

• Support statutory reporting, including PAYE, HMRC, and pension submissions. 

• Liaise with HOST’s Finance Team on audits and compliance reviews. 
  Reporting cadence: Monthly compliance report; annual payroll compliance review. 

3. System Management and Improvement 

• Maintain and improve digital payroll systems, ensuring data accuracy and secure integration with Finance and HR tools. 

• Support the development of HOSTHub payroll features and automation processes with the Tech Team. 

• Identify opportunities to simplify workflows and strengthen reporting. 
  Reporting cadence: Quarterly system and process improvement review. 

4. Contractor and International Payroll Support 

• Coordinate with the Community Support and Finance Teams to process international contractor payments, ensuring correct deductions and documentation. 

• Liaise with local payroll providers and Employer of Record (EoR) partners to ensure compliance in each jurisdiction. 

• Track and report on cross-border payroll performance and issue resolution. 
  Reporting cadence: Monthly report; immediate escalation of compliance concerns. 

5. HR and Staff Support 

• Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll queries from staff and contractors, providing clear and timely responses. 

• Collaborate with the HR & Operations teams to ensure policies and processes reflect payroll updates and legislation. 

• Support onboarding and offboarding processes for staff and contractors. 
  Reporting cadence: Ongoing; monthly summary of staff queries and resolutions. 

6. Risk and Confidentiality 

• Identify potential payroll or compliance risks, escalating concerns to the Operations Director and Finance Manager. 

• Ensure all payroll data and personal information are handled securely, in line with GDPR and HOST’s data protection policies. 
  Reporting cadence: Ongoing; quarterly inclusion in organisational risk report.

• A sound knowledge of safeguarding adult and children principles, child abuse, child protection issues and safeguarding
• A good knowledge and understanding of organisational systems and frameworks, line management and project management
• Significant experience of working with women and/or service users with a complex range of needs, particularly within the criminal justice system, in custody and/or community
• Experience with report writing, contract management and financial reporting including analysis of outcomes, outputs and gaps
• Experience of implementing quality assurance frameworks, monitoring, evaluating and measuring impact
• The ability to work well within a team and responsibly on own initiative and of maintaining professional boundaries with staff, clients and partner agencies

About this key role

Your role will be to provide young person-centred holistic support – including everything from helping clients to understand their own behaviour and its consequences, and promoting change, to helping clients’ families to support them and providing practical help with attending appointments, education, training and employment options, housing, benefits, debt and other aspects of day-to-day living. You’ll be part of a client focused SOS Team delivering casework services, predominantly Monday-Friday during office hours, and within Lambeth (although other hours and deployments may be required). You’ll also work closely with a range of partner agencies to ensure clients access the appropriate services and get the best outcomes.

Working flexibly within the community, with responsibility for one or more volunteers, you’ll be building effective and engaging relationships with young people involved in or at risk of being involved in the criminal justice system, with the aim of improving their life chances. You’ll conduct robust risk assessments and strengths-based needs assessments, with safeguarding as the priority, and ensure that all young people work towards an agreed support plan which is regularly reviewed and adapted. You’ll also build effective relationships with agencies providing services to the client group, and enable clients to engage in positive activity within the community (e.g. boxing, football, etc).

What we are looking for

• Experience of working with children, young people and/or vulnerable adults and delivering interventions that have had a positive impact – preferably in a health and wellbeing context and/or on an offender led support project.
• Experience of providing support, advice and advocacy, with the ability to assess clients’ needs.
• Experience of managing complex safeguarding issues with children, young people and adults who are at risk of violence or exploitation, whilst working alone.
• Understanding of the physical, social, emotional and developmental needs of children and young people, their specific needs as they transition to legal adulthood, and the issues they face, e.g. exploitation, victimisation, offending, school exclusion, unemployment, trauma.
• Extensive knowledge of the impact of context – with a clear understanding of best practice around contextual safeguarding and those experiencing harm outside the home.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed practice in the context of working with children, young people and parents/carers impacted by violence and exploitation, and of how trauma –including from their own lives – can impact on how practitioners manage cases.
• Working knowledge of child protection and safeguarding legislation/policy, with experience of providing support, advice and advocacy to staff with a safeguarding responsibility.
• Understanding of the importance of good quality case recording quality assurance principles.
• Ability to use electronic case management systems to record all aspects of the role, including action plans, outcomes and session data on a day-to-day basis.
• Recognition of the importance of resilience in coping with the emotional demands of the role and demonstrable experience of managing your own wellbeing.
• Relevant qualification to a good standard or equivalent experience – ideally with relevant accredited training such as safeguarding, counselling or mental health first aid.

ABOUT SUZY LAMPLUGH TRUST: 

The Suzy Lamplugh Trust was established in memory of Suzy Lamplugh, a young estate agent who tragically disappeared while at work in 1986 and was later declared deceased in 1993. Created to honour Suzy’s legacy, the Trust aims to empower individuals and organisations to take a stand against abuse, aggression, and violence in all forms, supporting safety in both personal and professional lives.

Role overview: 

This is a new and developing service focused on increasing accessibility to stalking support for underrepresented and marginalised communities across London.  The postholder will play a key role in designing, embedding, and delivering this community-based model, working closely with community groups, partners, and volunteers whilst holding a small caseload leading to building trusted pathways into service for communities that may face barriers to accessing traditional support. 

The role will oversee two key initiatives: 

1. Community First Responders:  Trained volunteers with lived and/or professional experience (including LGBTQ+ communities, racially minoritised groups, victims with disabilities, neurodivergent individuals, and those with other accessibility needs) who provide face-to-face stalking support and awareness across London. 

2. Community Champions: Staff/volunteers within third-party organisations within the London ecosystem of service providers who are trained to provide first-responder level support within their own communities. 

The role builds and manages networks of community champions and first responders while holding a reduced advocacy caseload. 

Initially office-based (London) for 3 months to support a meaningful induction, moving to a blended working model (40% office / 60% home).
