We campaign to achieve healthy and sustainable food for everyone; food which is good for our health, the planet, and the local economy.
The Food Justice Alliance
The Cambridge Food Justice Alliance is a network of local organisations working together to address food insecurity in Cambridge and take strategic, collective action for lasting food justice. Develop learning and peer support across the Alliance.
Organise workshops, partner showcases and the annual Food Justice Alliance Conference.
Act as a central point of contact and improve communication between partners.
Support accessible resources that make the local food support system easier to understand and navigate.
Build relationships beyond the food sector, including health, housing, education, disability, mental health, advice and community development services.
Coordinate campaigns and influencing activity and represent the Alliance in relevant forums.
Monitoring, Evaluation and Sustainability
Coordinate the collection and use of data, learning and lived experience evidence.
Develop an impact framework and reporting systems.
Produce briefings and updates for partners, funders and decision-makers.
Identify funding opportunities and contribute to the long-term sustainability of the Alliance.
Skills and Experience
Essential
We are looking for someone with:
Experience in partnership coordination, community development, public health, network facilitation or systems change.
Knowledge of food poverty, food justice and the wider causes of food insecurity.
Strong communication, facilitation and relationship-building skills.

At the heart of a changing and creative city, Sheffield Cathedral is both an ancient holy place and a living centre of worship, welcome, culture and public engagement. Working in the Citizens UK tradition of broad-based community organising, the Community Organiser will help embed organising across the Cathedral, its parish partnerships and its civic relationships, contributing to the co-creation of Sheffield Citizens Alliance.
We are looking for someone who understands that lasting change is built through relationships, local leadership, patient listening, strategic action and negotiated public wins. We are currently seeking a Head of Finance Business Partnering to join our developing and newly repositioned Finance team on a permanent basis.
We are committed to improving diversity and inclusion across our organisation. Don’t meet every single requirement? This role will be working specifically within and joining up the interdependencies of how the work impacts other work, other teams and other expenditure. You will need to be able to identify where budget decisions have been made driven by emotions rather than by the business and strategy. The ability to get buy-in is important whilst ensuring objectivity is essential. We do not need an enabler, we need a gentle and collaborative disruptor.

Bible Society is on a mission to change the conversation about the Bible in culture. We want to see the Bible ‘translated’ into every part of life and society and, excitingly, we are having more and more opportunities to do this.
Global trends show that the world is becoming a less secular place. There is a growing spiritual openness particularly in China and sub-Saharan Africa. But in recent years, here in England and Wales, we are also seeing a burgeoning spiritual openness with well over a quarter of the public actively seeking greater meaning and purpose in their lives. The question is will they find the Bible as part of their search?
Bible Society have recently re-configured their leadership team to release the CEO to take up more of the external opportunities that are growing in both number and profile.
The Head of Office is a new role designed to help the CEO maximise the impact of these opportunities in two main ways: first by identifying and prioritising opportunities with the greatest potential, cultivating strategic relationships and partnerships, and marshalling the talents of the team internally so that the Bible Society is not only responding to opportunities as they arise but actively shaping the environment in which they operate, and secondly helping the CEO proactively curate an effective external engagement programme to communicate my core messages so that we can grow our missional impact in this season of openness.
This role sits at the intersection of strategic acceleration, external engagement, and the strengthening of relationships and influence across the wider sector. It will require skills in strategic thinking, public engagement and messaging, relationship building, decision-making around opportunities and project management.
Bible Society today combines the dynamism of innovation with the trust and tradition of a 222-year-old organisation. Our history is full of major innovations, daring exploits and significant impact. This is the time to join us if you want to be part of writing the next chapter…
For more details including how to apply please see the job pack. Closing date 31 August 2026.
We believe the Bible is God's gift to the world. We want everyone to discover its message for themselves.
