About this role

As a Project Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the planning, delivery, and evaluation of projects that help bring the Carers First Strategy to life—enabling us to reach more carers and improve the support we provide. This role is funded through the National Lottery Reaching Communities Fund as a Fixed Term contract for the life of the project until September 2028.

Working closely with the Project Manager, you will:

• Support the development, coordination, and delivery of projects from initial scoping through to evaluation
• Work in co-production with carers, ensuring their voice shapes everything we do
• Build strong, collaborative relationships with internal teams, partners, and stakeholders
• Facilitate groups, workshops, and discussions to engage carers and colleagues
• Produce high-quality project documentation, communications, and reports
• Support evaluation activity, capturing impact, learning, and outcomes

You will also contribute to identifying new opportunities and projects, staying informed about developments in health, social care, and policy affecting carers.

Dialogue Earth is looking for an Operations Officer to ensure the smooth running of the organisation’s systems, office environment, and operational support for events. You will be the go-to person for systems development, office management, and the logistical side of our events programme, enabling staff to work efficiently and collaboratively.

Main Responsibilities:

Systems & IT
● Manage Google account (or alternative platform) access and permissions.

Essential experience, knowledge and skills:

The Peer Support In-Reach Service is a partnership between several local Minds. Senior Peer Support Workers and Peer Support Workers, who have direct lived experience of mental health issues, are working on in-patient wards in Croydon, Greenwich, Lambeth, Lewisham and Wandsworth to provide recovery-focused peer support to people as they leave hospital and journey towards living independently in the community.

We are seeking a Senior Peer Support Worker to join the team in Lewisham and line manage the Peer Support Workers.

You will use your lived experience whilst on the ward to help people to build skills to manage their home, finances, connect with family and friends, pursue social or vocational interests, to get more involved in their local community and to stay physically and mentally well. 

Your support will be person-centred and may include mentoring, coaching, emotional support and facilitating access to community activities, practical support, work or study.  The role will be ward-based initially until the patient is ready for discharge; you will then work with them to develop their support plans and goals. You will support them with the transition into the community for up to 12 weeks, helping them to connect with community resources to ensure they are well-supported in the community and working towards their goals.

About the role

EJF is scaling up its global work, and in particular expanding our portfolio of training and support to partner organisations on the front lines of environmental and human rights issues across the Global South. The Finance Officer is one of several new roles being recruited to support this growth.

Reporting to the Global Head of Finance, the Finance Officer will be responsible for end-to- end financial processing, donor reporting and partner finance support across a portfolio of geographies and grants. The role works closely with colleagues across the world and gives broad, hands-on exposure to international project finance, multi-currency operations, donor compliance, audit and sub-grant management.

The role is offered on a full-time basis, although we are open to part-time arrangements for the right candidate. It will suit a part-qualified Accountant or fully-qualified AAT, or someone with equivalent experience, looking to develop their career in a fast-growing, high-impact international organisation working at the intersection of environmental protection and human rights.

Key responsibilities

Management accounts and reporting

• Contribute to the production of accurate and insightful monthly management accounts for use by senior leadership.
• Support project managers with project budgeting, forecasting, internal reporting and re-planning.
• Prepare donor and project reports in the format required by funders, within agreed reporting timetables, for review by budget holders, the Head of Finance and senior management.

Sub-grants and partner support

• Oversee sub-grant disbursements and review incoming partner finance reports, ensuring accuracy, eligible expenditure and correct allocation against budget lines.
• Provide ongoing support to sub-grantee partners and to non-finance EJF colleagues on financial systems, processes and donor compliance.

Transaction processing and controls

• Reconcile foreign currency transactions and exchange rate adjustments.
• Process staff advance requests, allocate them onto expense cards and review the related expense claims.

• Reconcile expense card balances and bank balances on a regular basis.
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of financial controls across global operations.

Month-end, year-end and audit

• Support month-end and year-end close, including reconciliations, accruals and review of financial data.
• Lead audit liaison on project audits within the portfolio.
• Assist with preparation for the annual organisational audit and with responses to audit queries.

Records and systems

• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation using cloud-based storage.

Essential skills and experience

• Demonstrable commitment to EJF’s vision, mission and values and a determination to change the world for the better.
• Part-qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), fully-qualified AAT, or a minimum of three years’ relevant finance experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Excel, including the ability to build and interrogate spreadsheets for budgeting, reporting and reconciliation (lookups, pivot tables, formulas).
• Day-to-day hands-on experience with Iplicit or a similar cloud-based accounting system.
• Experience in processing transactions in multiple currencies and reconciling foreign exchange differences.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with a strong sense of ownership over your work.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines across a portfolio of projects.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues and external partners.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach.
• A coaching mindset, committed to building the financial confidence and capability of non-finance colleagues and partner organisations.

Desirable skills and experience

• Experience working in the third sector, ideally with international NGOs or charities subject to UK Charities SORP.
• Familiarity with the financial requirements of institutional donors (e.g. EU, Norad) and sub-grant compliance.
• Experience working across multiple geographies.
• Working proficiency in a second language relevant to EJF’s geographies.

The Unifrog platform

Over the last 12 years, the Unifrog platform has grown enormously from its starting point as a simple tool to help students pick their UK university courses and apprenticeships. It now helps young people from 4 years old up to explore their interests, record the great things they’ve done, compare every post-16 and post-18 course in the UK and every undergraduate programme taught in English in the world, find and organise work experience, and draft their application materials. The platform also helps teachers and career advisers to guide students every step of the way, makes it easy for parents to explore the platform via their own accounts, and helps employer and university recruitment teams to interact directly with students. 

We have a long list of exciting projects for the platform, always aiming to get us closer to achieving our mission. We are looking for someone to join Unifrog’s team to help us continually improve the platform’s existing tools, and to also develop new ones. 

What you’ll do

You’ll work on improving the platform itself, mainly how data feeds into our platform and makes it work behind the scenes, as well as maintaining and improving the processes that drive our development cycles. 

Your responsibilities will include:

• Dev cycle administration

  • Owning our dev cycle administration from beginning to end, across Productlane and Linear. This includes:

    • Managing inbound product requests that have been logged on our Productlane account;

    • Updating Linear with developments that we aim to work on, are working on, or have launched;

    • Communicating updates to the team, including writing and sharing changelog posts, and creating clear documentation for changes that have gone live.

  • Testing functionality for upcoming or newly released changes to the platform.

  • Liaising with the team members for whom new developments are most relevant, to ensure that they have fed into plans for upcoming changes, and are happy with changes that have gone live.

• Troubleshooting platform functionality issues

• Point person for two technical integrations

• How the Unifrog platform works behind the scenes, with a particular focus on how complex datasets feed into the platform and power our tools;

• Technical tools that are vital for school partners (e.g. SSO and Wonde);

• The needs of all our different user types, including students, teachers, school groups, universities, employers, and parents;

• How to navigate the platform as a user of each type;

• Finding opportunities to improve our platform, particularly when data processing is key to success.

• How our development process works, our product tech stack, and what is needed to make sure it runs as efficiently and effectively as possible;

• Collates feedback on the platform, deciding which changes to move ahead with, and how;

• Translates user feedback into clear, actionable requirements;

You’ll regularly be working with:

• The Platform and Data Manager, who will support you in your development administration and project responsibilities;

• User-facing colleagues, to understand what our users are asking for, as well to let them know what things have changed on the platform.

This is a broad and varied role across Policy, Public Affairs and Communications, with a specific focus on the Drive Project:

The Drive Project is the Drive Partnership’s flagship intervention for high-risk, high-harm and serial perpetrators of domestic abuse. The core mission of the Drive Project is to stop the cycle of domestic abuse and increase the immediate and long-term safety of adult and child victim-survivors. The Drive Project does this by partnering with agencies and local perpetrator services to disrupt, challenge, and change the behaviour of high-risk, high-harm and serial perpetrators, and working closely with IDVAs and victim-survivor services to always centre the safety and needs of victim-survivors, in line with the Respect Standard.

Communications

• Support the Drive Partnership’s communications and stakeholder engagement regarding the Drive Project.

What you will do:

Some key responsibilities include:

• Lead digital projects from initiation to completion, ensuring delivery within time, cost, risk, and quality parameters.
• Manage project plans, budgets, and risks, addressing and escalating changes and impacts on timelines and budgets promptly.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and develop communication plans to keep them and the organisation up to date with project progress and performance.
• Coordinate the development and monitoring of project metrics, ensuring variance and performance are reported to relevant stakeholders.
• Regularly report on project progress and performance, and conduct retrospectives to improve future processes.
• Help refine and evolve the project management methodology within the organisation, mentoring colleagues and promoting best practices in digital project delivery.
• Contribute to quarterly programme planning and alignment across projects.
• Examples of projects you could work on include our welfare campaign in relation to the government’s plans around PIP (Personal Independence Payment), Search engine optimisation initiative or annual winter fundraising appeal.

Please note this is a fixed term 12-month maternity cover position.

As a fundraising and grant-making charity, we bring to life projects that transform patient care - from sensory packs for children in A&E to a peaceful sanctuary garden for people living with dementia. We’re a small, ambitious and supportive team, and in just three years we’ve tripled our income. Our goal is to become the charity of choice for our local community in Islington and Haringey.
