The role

Business Disability Forum is looking for an experienced, strategic Head of IT and AI to review and manage outsourced IT services, work with colleagues to ensure applications are optimised and ensure they comply with best practice data protection. You’ll lead an AI transformation agenda so we can adopt the efficiencies of AI working with colleagues at all levels across the organisation to develop, implement and monitor a plan to embed the benefits of AI while mitigating any risks.

Business Disability Forum outsources IT support to various suppliers covering CRM (Salesforce), Microsoft 365 and Telephony. The Head of IT and AI will review and manage these relationships ensuring users are kept online and active and have the applications best suited to the organisation’s needs with consideration given for compliance with our memberships’ requirements and best practice data protection.

Business Disability Forum needs to adopt the efficiencies of AI, the Head of IT and AI will be responsible for identifying opportunities, developing our use of AI, harnessing the automation and cost savings offered while maintaining security of data and compliance with our memberships’ own compliance needs. The Head of IT and AI will work with members of the leadership team to develop, implement and monitor a plan to embed the benefits of AI throughout the organisation while mitigating the risks.

The requirement

• Experience in managing outsourced IT service desks and multiple suppliers
• Proven experience leading AI transformation initiatives, including implementing organisation-wide‑ technology changes.
• Significant experience in leading the implementation and ongoing development of CRM (preferably Salesforce) in a charity or membership organisation.
• Ability to identify and plan future needs from a digital and technical perspective.

Centrepoint, the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity, is looking for an Employee Relations Advisor to join our People team.

This role will report into the HR Manager and focuses exclusively on Employee Relations casework, supporting managers across the organisation to handle complex people matters confidently and fairly.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys working in Employee Relations and supporting managers through complex people challenges.

Reporting to the HR Manager, you will manage a varied ER caseload end-to-end, including disciplinary, grievance, sickness absence and performance management cases. You will provide clear, pragmatic advice to managers across the organisation while ensuring our policies and employment law obligations are applied consistently.

This role is not a developmental or step-up advisory role. We are looking for someone who is confident managing ER cases independently and who can take ownership of cases from initial advice through to resolution.

Alongside casework, you will also help identify trends from ER data and support initiatives that improve colleague experience and strengthen people management capability across Centrepoint.

What you’ll be doing

• Managing a full Employee Relations caseload, including disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance matters

• Leading ER cases end-to-end, including investigations and formal processes

• Providing professional, timely and practical advice to managers

• Supporting managers to develop confidence in people management

• Maintaining accurate case records and ER trackers

• Reviewing ER trends and identifying opportunities for improvement

• Working collaboratively with the wider People team to deliver a joined-up HR service

• Supporting ER-related training, projects and continuous improvement initiatives

About you

We are looking for someone who brings strong Employee Relations experience and the confidence to support managers through challenging situations.

You will be comfortable managing a busy ER caseload, working with competing priorities and navigating complex issues while maintaining professionalism and empathy.

You will also be someone who builds strong relationships and is confident offering clear advice and constructive challenge when needed.

What we’re looking for

• Experience managing Employee Relations cases independently

• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice

• Proven ability to manage complex ER casework from start to finish

• Confidence advising and influencing managers at different levels

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to manage a high volume caseload while maintaining attention to detail

• CIPD Level 3 qualification (or equivalent HR experience) desirable

Hybrid working

Centrepoint operates a hybrid working model, with colleagues expected to spend a minimum of 50% of their working week in the office. For most full-time roles this equates to five days across a two-week period.

This role will be based in our Aldgate, London office.

An experienced and talented Fundraising Manager who can develop and execute an effective fundraising strategy to deliver growth across a wide range of existing and new income streams.

Youth Futures Foundation​

Youth Futures Foundation is the national What Works Centre for youth employment, with a specific focus on marginalised young people.

​Being a manager within the Evidence and Evaluation team is an opportunity to be at the cutting-edge of evidence generation in youth employment. Your work will support more marginalised young people to stay in education, employment and training and find good work. You will work with leading experts in impact evaluation to deliver complex, but innovative evaluations that produce the highest quality findings. You will work within a supportive and intellectually curious team and will have time to develop core methodological interests, attend conferences and engage with the evaluation and youth employment sector.
 
You will be motivated and proactive: self-reliant but know when to reach out for support and to ask questions. You will be interested in high quality methods and be willing to learn and develop your understanding of impact evaluations. You will be an excellent relationship manager. You will be able to appraise complex evidence and guide experts to produce their highest quality work.

Please note - this is a hybrid working role, two days per week in one of three office hubs (London, Birmingham, Leeds)

​Key responsibilities:

​Evaluation 

• Critically review evaluation proposals to ensure designs are high quality and cost effective and that the most suitable evaluators are commissioned
• Manage individual evaluations from design to commissioning to dissemination, including: 
  • designing the call for proposals (e.g., deciding evaluation aims, objectives, and key research questions) in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
  • assessing the quality of submitted evaluation proposals 
  • liaising with evaluators and grantees to develop effective research and evaluation tools, from evaluation mobilisation to final reporting
  • review feasibility studies for further evaluations and funding continuation, developing written reports for the Youth Futures’ Grants & Evaluation Committee when necessary
  • support grantees in the first year set up/ development phases to understand their theory of change, programme fidelity and data requirements
• Manage evaluation contracts and budgets
• Monitor delivery or evaluation plans and provide support as required
• Support on ad hoc projects that facilitate the development of our evaluation team’s objectives and functioning
• Manage the development, design and implementation of impact evaluations progressing from initial pilot and development phases
• Training and supporting colleagues in evaluation and research methods.

Candidate:

Knowledge, experience and abilities (essential)

• Experience of and strong interest in high quality evaluation methodologies including impact evaluations (e.g., randomised controlled trial or quasi-experimental design, programme theory and implementation and process evaluations) gained within a commissioning or research setting
• Strong experience of critically appraising data, evidence and research literature
• An excellent track record in project-managing successful research and evaluation projects
• Experience in effectively communicating research and evaluation findings (both written and orally) to different audiences
• Proven ability to foster and sustain positive, collaborative relationships both internally and externally
• A track record of strategic planning for, as well as management and delivery of, complex projects to achieve change
• Able to establish priorities and manage a complex workload to meet tight deadlines
• Sound experience and understanding of MS Office 365 and other IT applications, Teams and SharePoint and ability to use online/remote working tools
• Strong analytical and problem solving ability, including identifying root causes and developing sustainable solutions. 
• Ability to make timely, well reasoned decisions using evidence, risk assessment, and stakeholder input. 
• Experience delivering work to agreed timelines and standards, managing competing demands, and maintaining attention to detail. 
• Experience working collaboratively across teams, building networks, and contributing to shared organisational goals.
• Ability to lead, guide, or coordinate the work of others, providing direction and maintaining accountability.

Skills & competencies (essential)

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders, articulating complex concepts clearly and concisely
• Skilled in planning, prioritising, and managing projects or tasks to deliver high quality outcomes
• Analytical and methodical
• An excellent manager of evaluation projects (ideally within the commissioned research and evaluation field)
• Excellent qualitative and quantitative research skills
• A trouble-shooter, who can anticipate, identify project issues, and engage different internal and/or external people to productively resolve these 
• A collaborative team member but also a person who understands when to take the initiative, be proactive and work independently 
• Relevant qualification in a social science or related discipline, ideally with strong quantitative and qualitative elements 
• Having a clear passion to improve employment outcomes for marginalised young people.
