We are looking for an experienced, compassionate and motivated Domestic Abuse Service Manager to lead and develop our specialist services across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

This is much more than an operational management role. You will lead a committed team delivering support through safe accommodation, community and outreach services, helping ensure adults and children affected by domestic abuse receive safe, high-quality and empowering support when they need it most.

The opportunity

Reporting to the CEO, you will provide confident leadership across our domestic abuse services, managing a diverse team of practitioners, outreach workers, project staff, volunteers and others.

You’ll create a positive culture where staff feel valued, supported and able to deliver their best work, while maintaining high standards of safeguarding, quality and practice.

You’ll build strong relationships with police, housing, health, children’s services, courts, commissioners and voluntary sector partners, ensuring the voice, rights and safety of victim-survivors remain central.

As our Designated Safeguarding Lead, you’ll play a key role in developing a strong safeguarding culture across the organisation, ensuring concerns are managed effectively and learning leads to meaningful improvement.

You’ll also use data, outcomes and feedback to understand what is working, identify emerging needs and drive service development.

You will:

• Lead, support and develop a dedicated domestic abuse team.

About you

You’ll have experience of managing people and services, together with a strong understanding of domestic abuse and its impact on adults and children. Experience within domestic abuse, safeguarding, housing, social care, family support or a similar specialist service would be highly relevant.

You’ll combine strong leadership with genuine compassion. You’ll be confident managing risk and complex situations, able to challenge poor practice when necessary, and committed to developing others.

Role Purpose

The Fundraising Manager will drive fundraising growth for YMCA Lincolnshire, a well-established charity working to improve the lives of children and young people, families, local communities and those at risk of homelessness.

Reporting to the Head of Income Generation, you will lead the delivery of YMCA Lincolnshire's Fundraising Strategy and be responsible for achieving agreed income targets across a diverse range of income streams. You will grow income through individual giving, corporate partnerships, trusts and foundations, community fundraising, events and campaigns, while strengthening donor stewardship, supporter journeys and the effective use of our Beacon CRM.

Working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation, you will translate service delivery outcomes into compelling cases for support and build meaningful relationships with supporters, funders, businesses and community groups. You will ensure all fundraising activity is compliant, insight-led and aligned with YMCA Lincolnshire's mission, values and strategic objectives.

THE CHARITY
Suicide is the leading cause of death of men under 35 and three quarters of those who die by suicide are men. James’ Place exists to save the lives of men in suicidal crisis through delivering clinical services. We are a charity currently offering free, life-saving therapy to suicidal men at our centres in Liverpool, London, Newcastle and Birmingham.

James’ Place was set up by Clare Milford Haven and Nick Wentworth-Stanley after their twenty-one-year-old son, James, died by suicide ten days after a minor operation. James had no history of mental illness or depression and had sought urgent help for anxiety and suicidal thoughts but didn’t find it.

James' Place was set up to make the experience of finding help as easy as possible. We offer men who are experiencing a suicidal crisis a brief, intensive, therapeutic intervention in a safe environment. Men who walk through the door at James’ Place will be in a space where they feel valued and respected. We provide a calm and peaceful environment both inside the centres and in our outside spaces, accessible to men who visit us as well as their friends and families. We have so far treated over 6,000 men who might otherwise have been unable to access the support they desperately need.

THE OPPORTUNITY
James’ Place has huge ambitions to grow to reach more men in suicidal crisis. We are seeking an experienced fundraising manager to join us on a Fixed Term Contract to cover a period of maternity leave.

Trusts and Statutory is a crucial, high-performing and mature income stream for James’ Place. In this Fixed Term Contract, the postholder will be care-taking as well as continuing to grow income. The organisation has invested in a new Executive Leadership Team to drive forward the development of our new strategy, so there is an opportunity for this postholder to contribute to this process.

The purpose of this role is to raise funds for James’ Place:

• taking overall responsibility for building the relationships with and securing income from Trusts and Statutory sources to realise our aim to deliver more life-saving support for men in suicidal crisis nationally.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
80% Direct Fundraising Work

• Responsible for a portfolio of donors, volunteers and prospects and an annual fundraising target of c. £750,000 - £1,000,000 from trusts, foundations, and statutory sources.
• Build a network of donors and volunteer supporters and influencers across a range of audiences, maintaining and developing relationships, who can support your fundraising.
• Attend events and write major grant applications and other proposals.
• Support the Philanthropy Lead to maximise opportunities through the Appeal Board.
• Manage engagement and fundraising events to support the organisation’s fundraising ambitions.
• Build compelling cases for James’ Place projects to put to prospective and existing funders, ensuring accurate financial information is presented clearly.

The role

• Developing and delivering fundraising activity across corporate, community and individual giving.

Reporting to the Director of Programme Delivery, you will provide day-to-day coordination, monitoring and support across a portfolio of international projects.

• Experience delivering single- or multi-country projects funded by institutional donors such as USAID, FCDO, the Dutch Government or major foundations

About Broxtowe Youth Homelessness

Broxtowe Youth Homelessness (BYH) is a small, well-established charity supporting young people aged 16–25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. Our practical, person-centred approach helps young people move towards greater stability, independence and opportunity.

The Centre Co-ordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the centre, for co-ordinating the planning and delivery of activities, services and events and for our team of centre volunteers.
Working closely with the Treasurer and Trustees, the Co-ordinator will ensure that the centre is maintained as a well-run, welcoming place for local people of all ages, and that it delivers activities to achieve the key outcomes identified in the workplan to be agreed with Trustees.
In the first year in post the Co-ordinator will be expected to strengthen and support our activities for children, young people, families and older people in line with current funding targets.

The role involves engaging with our funding partners, trustees, staff and volunteers and key elements are:

Community Development

This will involve building relationships with community members and with other community agencies and organisations and use the centre to strengthen community relationships.We would expect you to consult with centre users and community members to identify their needs and plan activities and services to meet those needsThe role may involve setting up and growing new clubs and groups to meet the needs of different groups in the village and supporting and encouraging community volunteers to set up community groups and activities which meet specific needs in the village, and provide space for these within the centre.

Centre and Volunteer Management

You must be able to deal professionally with enquiries made by community members, partner agencies and other community organisations either in person, by phone, by e-mail or by other means with regard to use of the Centre and its facilities including, with other staff, taking room bookings including payments and issuing of receipts and to ensure that an accurate bookings diary is maintained.Working with key holders to ensure that arrangements are in place for opening and closing the centre and for preparing the Centre for use. Working with our cleaner to ensure the Centre is clean and well maintained.. Volunteers are very important and we would need you to support the recruitment, selection and training of new volunteers and support current volunteers.

You would need to ensure that all policies and procedures are up to date, implemented and followed and to train and delegate the day to day responsibility for health and safety to staff and volunteers as appropriate.

Fundraising and Financial Management

We would support you to identify funding sources and streams and, with the agreement of the Treasurer, to draft funding bids to secure funding for current and new activities and projects, as well as ongoing core/revenue/capital costs. You would be responsible for properly maintaining the Centre’s monitoring and evaluation processes to ensure data can be collected and collated to provide robust evidence to support funding bids, preparing reports requested by funders [e.g. progress reports, end of grant reports] and to work with the trustees to review funding needs and to agree fundraising targets and plans. Also you would work with volunteers and staff to plan fundraising activities and events to generate unrestricted funding to support Centre running costs and activities and work with the Treasurer to manage the Centre’s finances, including responsibility for: Payments and receipts; Day to day small scale expenditure; Petty cash; Invoices; Records of income and expenditure; Volunteer and other expenses; Spending in relation to specific grants [restricted funding]. Your support would help the Treasurer with the production of financial reports for Trustees.

Partnership Working

We would want you to establish, maintain and grow relationships with local voluntary and statutory sector partner organisations and agencies near us, attend network and partnership meetings as agreed with the Treasurer., identify opportunities for collaborative approaches and joint funding bids with relevant partners and ensure partnership agreements are in place for funded work

Publicity and Promotion

With other staff and volunteers you would ensure that the Centre’s website and social media accounts are regularly updated, provide information about Centre activities via local newsletter/s and social media, circulate information via email networks and partner organisations and be aware regular groups in the Centre ensuring they have information about upcoming activities and new developments.

The Youth Adventure Trust is a youth development charity working with vulnerable young people aged 11 to 16 years old from Somerset, Wiltshire and Swindon. Our outdoor activity based YAT Adventure Programme enables young people to challenge themselves, experience success, learn to go beyond their own expectations and grow in confidence. Through a series of residential camps and day activities they are able to build resilience, self esteem and develop social and life skills. The YAT Resilience Programme works to the same outcomes through a year long programme of monthly activities, home-based challenges and reflective practice. Our Mentoring Programme works with those young people in need of some additional individualised support at the end of our other programmes. The Trust’s Bursary Programme is open to all those young people who have completed an initial programme, in order to assist their next steps into further activities. Our aim is to make a lasting improvement to the lives of vulnerable young people. All our services are provided completely free of charge to the young people who are nominated by schools and other youth organisations to take part. 

The Role

We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and motivated Programme Manager to support, deliver and manage our outdoor based development programmes. 

Responsibilities will include:

• Acting as the key point of contact to organise, deliver and oversee the programme to a group of young people, including managing and supporting activity days and residential adventures throughout the year.

• Recruiting young people to the programme, working in collaboration with our referral partners including schools and other organisations, ensuring all involved have an excellent understanding, relationship and experience with the Youth Adventure Trust.

• Working in partnership with the young people’s families to promote full attendance, effective participation and ensure they have all the information they require. 

• Carrying out direct work with young people to help support their needs and fulfil the Youth Adventure Trust’s aims.

• Providing ongoing feedback to young people, parents, carers and schools.

• Supporting the effective monitoring of the programme and measurement of young people’s developmental outcomes.

• Working with the Mentoring Managers to select and support young people moving on to the Mentoring Programme, and promote take up of the Bursary Programme. 

• Ensuring the highest standards of support, safety and safeguarding across the programme and all aspects of the Youth Adventure Trust’s work.

• Completing the day-to-day administration and management of the programme. This will include maintaining a database, producing written communications and reports, information leaflets, website updates, budget monitoring, booking and negotiating with providers, and an array of detailed record keeping.

• Contributing to organisational planning and development, including supporting the development of further opportunities for young people. 

• Supporting the fundraising team through providing feedback, reports or event support.

You will also;

• Be involved in sector networking and awareness raising on behalf of the Trust.

• Act as an ambassador for the Youth Adventure Trust at all times.

The post is subject to a six months’ probationary period.

You’ll need demonstrable skills at building effective relationships with young people, parents/carers and professional organisations. You’ll be an excellent communicator, planner and problem solver, a strong team player and an exemplary role model. 

We need someone with:- 

• Commitment to safeguarding and dedication to promoting the welfare of young people.

• Relevant experience of managing young people, preferably in activity based and outdoor environments, as well as away from this.

• Experience in working in partnership with other professional organisations and parents/carers.

• Strong leadership and team skills to motivate, support and work alongside a team of volunteers, activity instructors and logistics staff. 

• Self-motivation with the ability to work on their own initiative to plan and manage their workload.

• Strong IT skills including experience of MS Office, web based platforms and databases.

• Excellent administrative skills and a methodical and thorough approach.

• The ability to perform well and problem solve in high-stress and changing situations. Ability to be flexible and dynamic in approach.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• A positive attitude, high energy and enthusiasm for the work of the Youth Adventure Trust; an understanding of the positive impact outdoor adventure can have on vulnerable young people, and a desire to help inspire young lives.

• The ability to work flexible hours, evenings and weekends as required is essential - the role includes attending occasional trips staying away from home, and monthly weekend days working on activities. If you are looking for a predictable 9-5 work environment, this won’t be the right fit.

We are seeking a proactive, forward-thinking, part-qualified or qualified accountant to lead the development of an efficient, AI-assisted finance function for the charity. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be part of Home-Start Southwark and Lewisham's senior leadership team, in the only finance-focussed role within the team, taking ownership of the organisation's financial systems, reporting, and compliance — and critically, you will have the opportunity to strategically shape how finance operates over the next 6–12 months.

This is a growth opportunity for someone who has an interest and belief in our work supporting local families and combines strong technical finance skills with curiosity about technology, a willingness to challenge existing ways of working, and the confidence to work at Board level. You will implement cloud-based accounting with AI-enabled features, design meaningful management reporting, and ensure the charity is fully compliant with SORP 2026 and Charity Commission requirements — all while keeping the CEO's time focused on leading the organisation, not managing the books.

We are looking for an experienced Manager to start as soon as possible.  The appointee will manage two training Hubs which deliver skills development sessions for adults with intellectual (learning) disability. 

We invite applications from qualified an experienced trainers/teachers who have worked with young adults (16 – 24) and/or adults (25+), and who have at least 2 years’ experience of managing Staff teams. This post involves the management of a dual Staff team of up to 16 incorporating employees, volunteers and students on practice-based placement (graduate and undergraduate). We are not shortlisting applicants with backgrounds in care services e.g. domiciliary, PAs, independent living, residential, nursing or wider healthcare because we do not deliver any personal care services.

Journey Enterprises is an award-winning regional charity providing training services for adults with intellectual (learning disability). These services develop work skills, our principal focus, and independent living skills.  We have four sites in the north east and the Post Holder will be responsible for our Acomb and Blyth sites. He/she will be overseeing the relocation of our Acomb site over the coming 18  -24 months. 

Our service hosts 160 adults weekly aged 18 – 84 years, 60 of these at our Acomb and Blyth sites.  All the adults we support have conditions from birth impacting cognitive development e.g. Down’s Syndrome, Williams, Prader-Willi, Sotos and Smith Magenis.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• Training/teaching qualification and experience (young adults or adults): please note that we are not recruiting primary or lower secondary practitioners
• Willingness to work towards NVQ5 in Health & Social Care as required by the Health & Social Care Act and our local authority contracts
• 2+ years’ experience managing Staff Teams including delivery of Support/Supervision, Appraisal, Disciplinaries/Grievances and Practice-Based Observations

Job Title: Known internally as "Key Work Manager (Maternity Cover)"

About the Role

As Key Work Manager you will lead on and oversee all Key Work activity at Carney’s Community. This includes undertaking key work yourself on a one to one basis with young people involved in the criminal justice system as well as managing a small team of key workers.

You will provide advice, practical support and befriending to a caseload of participants, aged 11-30, who are at risk of/involved in offending; to encourage and enable them to participate in Carney’s Community’s personal development opportunities and to access the wider services and support they may need in order to give them the best chances of being “the best they can be”. This will involve supporting young people to engage in positive and constructive activities, attend Youth Justice Service or Probation appointments and creating opportunities for their personal, social and emotional development

You will work alongside the employment support manager to plan and deliver the employment group, supporting participants that attend this group and leading specific employment programmes. As manager of the key work project you will oversee the small team of key workers, provide support, guidance and supervision. You will be involved in monitoring and reporting for the project, collecting feedback from participants. You will manage referrals to the project from other organisations including schools, social services, probation and the youth justice service.

About You:

You must have proven experience of working directly with young people in a youth work or key work setting, providing one to one support. You will have the ability to empathise and mediate for young people, a strong understanding of the local area, barriers facing young people, the interplay between material disadvantage, vulnerability and social exclusion and be highly skilled in diplomacy, professional distance, demonstrating empathy, boundaries and sound judgement. You will have experience managing other staff or volunteers.
