Trust fundraising at Battersea has grown significantly over the past few years, from £1m in 2022 to £2.6m in 2025. Working closely with another Trusts Manager, the Trusts Officer and Trusts Lead, you will secure vital funding from Trusts and Foundations to support the welfare of dogs and cats across the UK and internationally.

As the Trusts Manager, you will manage your own portfolio of five-figure Trust donors and take ownership of relationships to secure funding from both existing and new supporters. You will also support the Trusts Officer to deliver bi-annual Small Trusts Mailings and the Trusts Lead to deliver significant partnerships.

You will be proactive and motivated, with a passion for animal welfare and an aptitude for building relationships. You are a strong communicator with excellent writing skills which will enable you - with support from the team - to craft compelling funding proposals that resonate with donors.

About Sophie Hayes Foundation

Sophie Hayes Foundation is a small but mighty charity supporting women survivors of modern slavery and human trafficking as they rebuild their independent lives, free from re exploitation for the long-term.

We provide an employability programme which enables survivors to rediscover their skills, build their confidence and sense of purpose, develop workplace skills, and open up opportunities for work placements or volunteering. We also offer a conversational English course, a digital skills programme, and run a survivor network CREW (Creative Resilient Empowered Women).

About the Role

We can’t do any of this work without brilliant and concerted fundraising efforts. SHF is independent and relies on funds from grant-making bodies, individuals, and businesses in our supporter community.

This role will be at the forefront of the realisation of SHF’s bold strategic ambitions. You will work alongside our small and dynamic executive team to unlock growth, develop new approaches and communicate our impact.

You will build a lead small, effective and positive fundraising and communications team.

You will develop deep and meaningful relationships with the individuals and organisations while support SHF’s work – and new supporters we have not met yet.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

Team: Fundraising and Supporter Engagement, Philanthropy and Partnerships team 

As the Senior Philanthropy Officer, you will join a motivated, passionate and supportive fundraising team. You will work closely with specialists across all areas of fundraising and, supported by our Philanthropy Manager, you will take the lead on managing relationships with high value funders who support the Walk Wheel Cycle Trust. 

In this role, you will lead on developing strong strategic relationships with Trusts and Foundations and high value supporters. You will create clear and engaging funding proposals, that involve multiple stakeholders and deliver face-to-face presentations when required. A key part of your work will be developing relationship building strategies and creating tailored funder experiences. 

Your contribution will help secure long-term funding and strengthen the impact of the Walk Wheel Cycle Trust.  

What You’ll Be Doing 

• Lead the stewardship of high value funders and provide clear, consistent and meaningful engagement.
• Develop and manage strategic relationships with major Trusts and Foundations to build long-term partnerships.
• Lead on securing significant grant income by creating compelling proposals at the five and six figure level.
• Carry out proactive prospect research to identify new funding opportunities and strengthen the funding pipeline.

Shannon Trust are delighted to be working with His Majesty’s Prison & Probation Service (HMPPS) to provide peer-led learning programmes at HMP Ashfield. Working closely with the prison and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will lead the delivery and development of our literacy and numeracy programmes at HMP Ashfield, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn. This role also includes providing daily assistance in the running of the prison library and of library outreach including facilitation of activity groups.

Ideally you will have some experience working within a prison environment, underpinned by the ability to build relationships and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach. You will have a love for reading and be able to help inspire others (including those who find reading difficult) to enjoy all of the benefits of reading for pleasure.

The role is prison-based. Co‑Design and Co‑Production Worker

Hours: 28 hours per week.  Must be flexible and be available for occasional work outside of usual work hours.

Co-Design and Co-Production

BDEF’s Director previously supported Bristol City Council Adult Social Care to create a Co‑production Policy. This policy was developed because there was no clear, fair, or consistent way for the Council to involve people with lived experience of using Adult Social Care services.

The policy:

• Is designed through co-production between Disabled people, Carers, Community and Voluntary Sector workers and council officers.
• Clearly defines consultation, engagement, co‑design and co‑production.
• Sets expectations for inclusive, equitable involvement.
• Has been fully adopted and approved by Adult Social Care.
• Is intended to guide all future Adult Social Care work.

Following feedback, Bristol City Council has now contracted BDEF, a Disabled‑people‑led organisation, to take this work forward. This, as part of this contract, role will focus on supporting, embedding and putting the policy into practice, ensuring that people with lived expertise are meaningfully involved in shaping Adult Social Care services.

The role will work closely with people with lived expertise of Adult Social Care services (Disabled people and carers among others), Bristol City Council Adult Social Care officers, community and voluntary organisations and BDEF colleagues. The role holder will work directly with BDEF Director who will offer advice and support.

Purpose of the Role

The Administrator / Finance Officer plays a key role in the smooth running of One Newham. The postholder will provide reliable financial administration, maintain accurate records, support budgeting and reporting cycles, and ensure effective office and administrative systems are in place, with a strong emphasis on finance.

Detention Action is a small organisation with a big impact. Since 1993, we have worked to improve the welfare of people in detention centres and tirelessly campaign alongside our beneficiaries to reduce the use of immigration detention. We work on the frontline with people in immigration detention, as well as challenging injustices in asylum, detention and deportation systems in the UK.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to campaign for a just and humane immigration system. The post holder will work across our communications and campaigns activities, helping to develop and achieve our campaigning goals, engaging with stakeholders and providing policy and parliamentary support. They will take a lead role in managing our social media channels and contribute to our press office function.

They will also work closely with our Casework and Fundraising teams.

The postholder will have the opportunity to develop skills and knowledge to allow them to lead campaigns and/or supporter and stakeholder engagement.

We are looking for someone who is able to develop compelling campaigns messages for a range of audiences and build strong relationships with our stakeholders. Candidates must have well-developed research and analysis skills, excellent organisational skills and be able to manage our social media accounts. The Role

This role will develop, support and manage a network of volunteers across England to help build both virtual and local communities for families affected by rare chromosome and gene disorders.
 
This role will lead on the recruitment, training and ongoing support of volunteers from the Unique membership to ensure they feel confident, connected and valued in their roles. Working closely with the Engagement and Communications Officer, the postholder will also help plan and run a programme of virtual events and online activities tailored to the needs of our members and encouraging supportive peer relationships between them.
 
The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with experience of volunteer management and community engagement. You’ll enjoy building relationships, empowering others, and creating opportunities for people to connect and support one another.
 
This is a hybrid role which includes occasional working in our Oxted office to build relationships with our small, friendly team, as well as time spent on the ground with volunteers in different regions. The role will involve regular travel across England, with occasional weekend and evening work (for which time off in lieu will be provided).

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver Unique’s volunteer strategy, ensuring volunteers are effectively supported and engaged

• Recruit, train and induct new volunteers, and develop resources, training materials and recognition schemes for volunteers

• Provide regular communication, guidance and supervision to volunteers, ensuring their wellbeing and satisfaction

• Build a strong sense of community through a programme of face to face and virtual meet-ups and workshops

• Work in partnership with volunteers and members to creatively use online communication channels to promote community connections

• Maintain up-to-date volunteer records and ensure compliance with safeguarding, data protection and health & safety policies

• Coordinate and support volunteer involvement at family events, conferences, webinars and local meet-ups

• Work collaboratively with the staff team to promote volunteering opportunities and celebrate volunteer contributions

Person Specification

Qualifications

Educated to degree level or equivalent experience

Essential qualities, skills and experience

Experience of recruiting, training and supporting volunteers

Experience of working in community engagement or outreach

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Empathy and understanding of the challenges faced by families affected by health or disability issues

Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using online collaboration tools and databases

We are looking for someone to join St Mungo’s as Assistant Director of Client Experience. This new post brings together a range of services that deliver added value to our service offer for clients.

From leading the work on client involvement, to developing and delivering learning, training and employment interventions, to providing advice and improving our practice on welfare rights and complex health and wellbeing needs, this role is central to delivering our work to support clients to rebuild their lives.

As Assistant Director of Client Experience, you will work closely with client services and fundraising colleagues, bringing these areas together to ensure we deliver compelling services that enhance our client experience, attract funders, and clearly demonstrate their impact and value.

You will embed a culture of collaboration, strengthening partnerships with different organisations so that, across the system, we work towards providing the services our clients need and that achieve the greatest impact.

In this role you will:

• Oversee client involvement, resident engagement and lived experience apprenticeship schemes.
• Lead the coordination of our volunteers and the assessment of social work student placements.
• Oversee services offering clients learning, training and employment support.
• Lead work that supports clients and colleagues to navigate the welfare system, and to manage complex needs such as health, substance use, palliative care and bereavement.
• Focus on increasing our innovation, testing and learning from different interventions.

About you

We are looking for an experienced operational leader with a background in leading teams delivering services to groups of vulnerable adult clients. You will bring a passion for client involvement and a track record of developing, innovating and strengthening service offers and bringing teams together.

Your leadership will be committed, empowering, accountable, creative and inclusive. You will be an excellent problem solver with strong communication and influencing skills, able to engage colleagues at all levels and build effective partnerships across the sector. You will also have experience of managing budgets and using complex data to inform decisions and improve performance.

Above all, you make things happen. You drive progress efficiently while building engagement and collaboration, ensuring outcomes are delivered and meet the needs of the organisation.

Flexible working

This post is offered on a full time basis (37.5 hours per week), or part time hours can be considered (minimum 22.5 hours per week). We are open to discussions about different working patterns, for example condensed hours.

We support flexible and agile working. This role is London-based, with an expectation of working from our Central Office or one of our services at least 2 days per week to support collaboration, leadership, training and relationship-building. Due to the nature of the role, you will also work across different London and regional services and be expected to spend a significant part of your time our engaging with colleagues and clients in our services.

Our Central Office is currently located in Tower Hill, with a plan to relocate to a new space in Farringdon in summer 2026.

Requirements:
