Sounds great, what will I be doing?
As a Safe House Advocate, you will provide high-quality emotional and practical frontline support to residents who have experienced trafficking and modern slavery, including sexual and criminal exploitation, domestic servitude, and other forms of exploitation. You will manage a caseload of female survivors within the National Referral Mechanism, advocating on their behalf to ensure access to ECAT rights and supporting them to navigate complex systems. Your role includes conducting regular safeguarding risk assessments, maintaining detailed case records, and responding promptly to incidents or urgent issues to protect residents' safety and wellbeing. You will carry out daily, weekly, and monthly health and safety checks to ensure the accommodation remains secure, while also covering other safe houses as needed and supporting new staff members. Your responsibilities extend to liaising confidently with public and private services, writing official correspondence to agencies such as the Home Office, and keeping up to date with relevant legislation, policies, and child welfare considerations. Additionally, you will participate in team meetings, supervisions, clinical support sessions, and mandatory training, all while working to help survivors maintain positive and safe relationships with their children.

The ideal Safe House Advocate will hold qualifications in Safeguarding Adults, Safeguarding Children, and Modern Slavery awareness, supported by practical experience in safeguarding vulnerable adults, incident management, and working within supported accommodation or housing management. They will be confident working independently through lone working and possess strong organisational skills to manage schedules and deadlines while prioritising urgent matters effectively. A thorough understanding of safeguarding issues, GDPR principles, and relevant legislation such as the Modern Slavery Act and the National Referral Mechanism is essential. The role requires the ability to complete administrative tasks accurately and efficiently, alongside proficiency in using multiple digital platforms including Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, and case management systems. Knowledge of fire safety protocols is also important to ensure the security of the safe house environment.

The RDA Coach is responsible for the planning, coordination, and delivery of safe, effective, and engaging sessions at Lowlands Equestrian Centre. Key Responsibilities
Session Delivery
· Lead and deliver all ridden sessions, ensuring they are safe, inclusive, and tailored to individual rider needs.

While primarily a local charity the trustees anticipate that, with a focus on quality, some of the work of the charity may contribute to broader good practice development. The charity participates in a number of multi agency partnerships responsible for aspects of the county’s integrated domestic abuse strategy.
Function
The first priority of the charity is to provide an Independent Domestic Violence Advisor Service for the county. The post holder will be a member of the IDVA team and provide a pro-active service to victims of domestic violence to keep them safe and promote their wellbeing. They will use their skills to assess the risk a client is in, deliver a service appropriate to the level of risk and have a particular focus on providing an intensive service to those at high risk. The post holder will have the skills to act as lead professional, working to ensure an integrated service and co-ordinating multi agency work to keep people safe, in addition to working with victims and signposting to other services.
Responsibilities:
The nature of this post will require flexibility to meet work needs as they arise. This may occassionally entail some work outside normal office hours. The post holder will be expected to adopt a flexible attitude to their duties. These may have to be varied after discussion, subject to the needs of the service and in keeping with the general profile of the post. There will also sometimes be a necessity to work effectively under pressure.
Appointment to the post will be subject to full enhanced DSB checks.

This exciting role will provide advice and support to other professionals. A key part of this role involves contributing to the local Intimate Partner Violence Panel and Daily Safeguarding Meeting processes; representing survivors at these meetings and action planning alongside other agencies to improve survivor safety. Whilst working with other agencies, the Senior MASH IDVA will strive to keep survivor’s safety at the centre of all coordinated responses. The role involves the line management of frontline IDVAs, and management responsibilities of the overall projects are shared with the Service Manager.
You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team and collaborating with external agencies in your work.
About You
We're looking for highly organised and self-motivated applicants who are passionate about ending VAWG and safeguarding. You will have a “can-do‟ approach and demonstrable commitment to Solace’s feminist approach to supporting women and their children to be safer. You will receive training and support for this role as necessary. Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of demonstrable experience of working with victims of domestic and/or sexual violence in a multi-agency setting and a working knowledge of the criminal and civil justice systems.
The candidate will have essential experience of attending multi-agency risk-focused meetings such as MARAC, IPV or MAPPA.
Successful applicants will have in-depth knowledge of domestic abuse and its impact on women and children, demonstrable substantial experience in providing emotional and practical support to victims of VAWG. A relevant qualification in VAWG or significant experience is essential.

This is a hybrid job role with the postholder working one day per week at Solace Head Office and a further day at our offices at Islington council. The remaining days can be remote based with the expectation of working additional days at the office to meet demands of the service.
The postholder will be required to have a relevant accredited VAWG /domestic abuse qualification.
