This role works with the Church Engagement Manager to create multiple points of connection for UK Churches and church-based volunteers to engage with BMS and with our story of mission. It will create and maintain relationships with churches and key Baptist leaders to help ensure they recognise BMS as an organisation which can take them deeper in their understanding of mission and global transformation.
For this role, knowledge of BMS’ supporter base, experience of the evangelical aspects of BMS’ mission and full support of its missionary work are crucial.

- Communication and interpersonal skills: You will be a confident speaker with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build meaningful relationships between BMS and leaders across BMS-supporting churches.
- Christian ministry: You have significant insight into the Christian ministry and experience working with churches including Baptist Churches.

- Strategic planning: You are a strategic thinker capable of developing and implementing a plan for our approach to Church engagement and volunteer development.

Key Purpose / WHY?
The Carers Services Manager will play a vital role in leading a team to assist unpaid carers to connect with their communities and access the support they need within Herefordshire. The role will support the Herefordshire team, who deliver the ‘what matters’ assessment to carers and provide bespoke, person-centered information, advice and guidance to people accessing our services. Support includes but is not limited to; one-to-one support, events and activities, as well as signposting and referring to relevant agencies for additional support helping people on their caring journey. The role will work alongside internal teams and external partners to create community connections, develop an outreach support program, linking people to community resources with a focus on preventing the need for escalation to statutory services.
Key accountabilities & responsibilities
1. Service Leadership and Delivery
· Oversee day to day delivery of our commissioned Information, Advice and Guidance service for unpaid Carers in Herefordshire
· Facilitate the application, review and distribution of small grants to unpaid carers across the region as required
· Monitor service quality and delivery and report monthly Key Performance Indicators and quarterly monitoring reports to Local Authority Commissioners. Ensure reporting demonstrates the scale, impact, and quality of our services.
· Meet with commissioners to review service performance quarterly
· Ensure the service is visible and accessible to carers from all communities
· Support carer self-identification and address barriers to engagement, including those faced by underrepresented groups of carers
· Help raise the profile and recognition of TuVida to assist with recruitment, service-user and partner engagement and financial sustainability by contributing to social media presence and the website
2. Service Development
· Work collaboratively with senior colleagues, identifying opportunities for sustainable growth, and working to execute commercial opportunities, including
supporting and/or leading on tendering,
· Bidding, and negotiating new business as well as business retention strategies and mobilisation of new business.
3. Team Management
· Lead and develop a team to deliver person-centered outcomes for unpaid carers across Herefordshire providing practical support and guidance as required
· Provide exemplary leadership and management for the team, including regular team meetings, 121’s and objective setting, caseload management, performance reviews and promoting professional development and well-being
· Create development plans for team members, identifying training needs and growth opportunities within the team and wider organisation
· Foster a collaborative team environment that promotes knowledge sharing, continuous improvement, and high-performance standards
· Delegate effectively while maintaining oversight of service quality and manager satisfaction
· Oversee recruitment and inductions of new staff
· Manage leave and staff absence
· Act as designated safeguarding lead for the team, maintaining hight standards of safeguarding practice. Support the team through the process of raising safeguards and following up on safeguarding concerns complying with internal and external agencies policies and procedures.
4. Partnership and Stakeholder Engagement
· Ensure the services work collaboratively with partners and community services, manage the delivery of a program of support and services that help improve the wellbeing of carers and which respond to their needs and aspirations.
· Lead on increasing the awareness of TuVida’s services in the county, including development of marketing materials, attending events, stakeholder meetings and increasing recognition of and support available for unpaid carers.
· Build and maintain effective relationships with local authority, health services, and other stakeholders and third sector organisations involved in supporting carers
· Represent the service at multi-agency meetings and network meetings
· Promote awareness of carer rights and needs within the community through talks and training

We’re looking for a Direct Marketing Executive to join the Individual Giving team at Prostate Cancer UK. We’re an ambitious charity with a bold mission and a fantastic culture. This role focuses on acquiring new cash and regular givers across a range of channels including digital, telephone and direct mail, helping fund research that will save and improve lives.
In this role you’ll help drive forward our ambitious five-year fundraising strategy as we continue to grow income year on year to have the biggest impact for men. You will lead on our value exchange programme, working closely with the digital team and our telephone partner to continually optimise results. This is a great opportunity to gain experience across a multi-channel campaign. You will also work on wider telephone conversion campaigns and direct mail as well as other test channels with the aim of recruiting new regular and cash supporters as well as re-engaging those who have lapsed. You’ll also help develop and test welcome journeys to engage supporters with our work and make them feel valued. You’ll look for ways to test and innovate to drive the best results. What we want from you
Experience or knowledge of managing direct marketing campaigns across a range of channels, ideally digital, telephone or direct mail, and preferably gained from a fundraising environment.
You’ll possess first class communication and project management skills; a strong team ethic and you will be at ease working with key internal and external stakeholders at all levels. You’ll be a self-starter, with a curious nature and a keen eye for detail.Knowledge of data protection and sector compliance would also be beneficial.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
ShelterBox is seeking an experienced, motivated and proactive communications professional with excellent attention to detail and line-management experience.
You will be skilled in writing a variety of materials - including press releases, statements, and Q&As, and in simplifying complex information. You will also understand the nuance of language, ensuring messaging reflects dignity, avoids harmful narratives and upholds humanitarian neutrality in sensitive contexts.
You will enjoy finding strong stories and ensuring they are told ethically. You will be experienced in creating news, working with the media and contributing to multiple projects at pace.
We are looking for someone with experience in crisis communications who can help protect and enhance our reputation by identifying potential issues early. You will also have experience delivering media interview training, building confidence in spokespeople, and supporting them through briefings and interviews.

MAIN ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This role works as part of a small and dynamic Communications & Digital team and has direct line management of our Comms & PR Officer. You will focus on gaining media coverage for our international programmes, understanding the issues and opportunities of our work and securing impactful media interviews. You will support our fundraising campaigns and events with media engagement.
You will work closely with the Head of Global Communications & Digital and colleagues across the Fundraising & Communications department to develop and deliver communications and media engagement activities supporting campaigns and driving awareness.
The role line-manages a Communications & PR Officer. You will work with them to extend the output and reach of our comms and media work and support them to feel motivated and produce high-quality work.

PR & Comms Lead
- Manage a variety of communications and PR activities to raise awareness of the needs of people who have lost their homes to disaster.
- Produce a range of high-quality written materials for different audiences.
- Develop strong working relationships with people across the organisation, including in our international programmes and fundraising teams.
- Take a proactive approach to media engagement and communications as our PR and communications subject-matter expert.
- Line manage the Comms & PR Officer, supporting them to prioritise their workload, ensuring they have clear goals, and are performing well.
Media Engagement
- Maximise media opportunities for ShelterBox across national and regional, print, digital, and broadcast media.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the media landscape and keep across relevant stories and trends.
- Work with colleagues to identify strong stories and create news angles.
- Prepare and use a variety of effective PR tools, including press releases, quotes, features, blogs and photo opportunities.
- Sell-in stories, respond to media enquiries, and secure interviews.
- Deliver interview training for colleagues.
- Prepare messaging and briefings for spokespeople for interviews and events.
- Ensure plans are ready to roll-out when major disasters happen - including comms plans, media lists, trained spokespeople, quotes and other resources.
- Identify, develop and maintain great relationships with external stakeholders, including journalists, PR agencies, and freelancers.
Communications
- Produce high-quality written materials, including messaging, Q&As, and reports, ensuring consistency with brand and tone of voice.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across social media, website, celebrity, brand, content, and fundraising) to deliver integrated campaigns.
- Support reputation management, lead crisis communications activities, and play an active role in the Crisis Management Team.
- Offer creative ideas and planning for communications campaigns.
- Coordinate and, when required, manage external agencies and consultants.
- Evaluate PR and communications activity to measure success and improve future performance.
- Manage subscriptions and licences for communications tools, including media monitoring platforms, and liaise with procurement on tender processes when required.

Purpose of the Role

Working closely with the Director of Partnerships, this role will lead on community fundraising development and provide hands-on coordination of partnership activities, from employee volunteering and group sessions to corporate fundraising events and payroll giving. Key Responsibilities
Corporate Partnerships and Engagement

Develop toolkits and resources to empower supporters (fundraising packs, JustGiving Guides and risk assessments)

Support the Business Support Administrator to manage the stock, ordering and distribution of fundraising materials to ensure event participants are equipped and engaged.

About the role: We have been appointed as the secretariat of an Expert Reference Group (ERG) comprising a network of organisations in the London-wide violence against women and girls (VAWG) sector. The ERG supports the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) with its delivery of the Mayor’s VAWG strategy.
As the secretariat for the ERG, we will ensure that the VAWG sector is fully involved in MOPAC’s VAWG-related work. We will convene regular meetings and other opportunities for ERG members to raise, discuss and escalate to MOPAC relevant issues affecting the VAWG sector, ensure the needs of victim-survivors of VAWG are represented, and bring together the shared expertise and knowledge of the VAWG sector to provide expert insight to MOPAC’s VAWG-related work.
We are looking for a partner network coordinator to coordinate the operations of the ERG; support the partner network manager in liaising with MOPAC, the VAWG Board, and other key stakeholders; and ensure that the needs of both the VAWG sector and MOPAC are appropriately managed and represented through the ERG. The coordinator will work closely with the partner network manager, who will have overall responsibility for the operations of the ERG.
Key responsibilities: The main responsibilities of this role are:

About the role
We are recruiting for an Assistant People Advisor to join on a full-time basis, working 35 hours per week on a permanent contract.
Working with support from the ER and Change Team, this newly developed role will provide professional first-line support and guidance to managers and staff on a range of employee relations issues. You will be a key point of contact for managers, using a coaching approach, you will help them to deal with a range of employee relations issues including disciplinary, grievance, attendance and performance management.

About the role
We are recruiting for a Senior Research Communications Officer to join on a fixed-term contract for 12 months. This is a home-based role, working full-time, 35 hours per week.
Research is central to our mission and ambition. With a portfolio of more than 100 active grants worth over £50 million, we are committed to accelerating progress and ensuring that breakthroughs in dementia research are clearly understood, widely shared and effectively championed.
As Senior Research Communications Officer you’ll use your understanding of biomedical research and your extensive communication skills to convey complex research content to a range of audiences in a clear and engaging manner. The research content will be both from our own research portfolio and from the wider research field through our Mail Metro partnership and wider media outlets.
You will lead on the coordination and planning of research-related content that we can amplify through our Mail Metro Media partnership, both editorial and social media content, as well as wider proactive research media content across other outlets. You will translate complex biomedical science into clear, engaging and accessible content that informs, inspires and drives influence.
You will also play a leading role in proactive and reactive media engagement - drafting national press statements, developing trade press articles and acting as a spokesperson on research related topics following media training.
