In this role, you will help ensure the safety, security and wellbeing of our residents by providing a friendly and reassuring presence within the service at night. Our OLYP services delivers specialist 24-hour supported accommodation where young people are supported to acquire the necessary skills in preparation for living independently, safely explore their increased freedom of choice and develop responsibilities associated with adulthood, whilst still having the appropriate level of support from an experienced team. We adopt a trauma informed and psychologically informed approach to supporting our residents to help them build essential life skills, identify their goals and work towards aspirations so that they can move on to enjoy fully independent futures. We have a dedicated team of Support workers, Night workers and additional Bank workers who provide support, guidance, and signposting around areas such as housing, budgeting, living skills, jobs and relationship building.
What you will be doing

Main areas of responsibilities are:
Safety and security
- Provide a friendly, professional presence and ensure the building remains safe, secure and welcoming at night.
- Support resident wellbeing by upholding health and safety procedures, house rules and tenancy requirements.
- Monitor risks and respond to incidents calmly and appropriately, recording and reporting to the relevant teams.
Resident engagement
- Welcome residents and offer informal, responsive assistance to help them develop confidence, independence and life skills.
- Encourage residents to share their views and engage with available services and opportunities.
- Assist with evening groupwork sessions that promote learning, wellbeing and positive development.
Administration and housekeeping
- Complete essential admin tasks including data entry, case notes and record management.
- Carry out routine health and safety, compliance and room checks.
- Log maintenance issues to ensure the building remains safe and well maintained.
General
- Work collaboratively on a four-on, four-off rota, providing consistent, non-judgemental support overnight.
- Maintain a calm, professional approach and handle challenging situations effectively.
- Take part in ongoing training and reflective practice to support psychologically informed care.
This role involves lone working, so you will need to be confident in decision-making and in following procedures. However, before joining the rota, you will have the opportunity to get to know the team and services, take part in a full induction, complete the required training, and undertake shadow shifts to ensure you feel confident, supported, and well prepared.

The Research co-ordinator will help provide a high-quality in-house prospect research service to support the alumni engagement strategy. Essential Criteria
- Experience in working within a Philanthropy Team, with proven success in securing multiple five figure gifts from both high-net-worth individuals and Trusts and Foundations
- Strong experience cultivating cold and/or new prospects and converting them into five figure + donors
- Experience conducting targeted prospect research, identifying new funders against a set criteria or proposition
- Demonstrable track record of creating and implementing successful, data-informed plans resulting in increased income
- Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to influence, inspire and engage both internal and external stakeholders at a wide range of levels
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information in compelling ways tailored to different audiences
- Highly organised and demonstrated ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities and deliver to deadlines within a fast-paced environment

- Lead on enhancing the existing Small Trusts Mailing programme, effectively implementing streamlined processes to increase ROI.
- Collaborate with the Philanthropy Team, and other teams where needed, to forecast income, set targets, and manage your pipeline budget.

About the role

We are looking for an ecologist to drive forward Biodiversity Enhancement potential in Scotland, helping to ensure this plays a part in bolstering Scotland’s ability to tackle the nature crisis. Sitting at the heart of our operational involvement with Biodiversity Enhancement, this role will help to ensure that Biodiversity Enhancement delivers bigger, better and more joined up nature restoration. The post holder will work closely with SSEN Transmission and RSPB Scotland teams to find, assess and establish a pipeline of projects for delivery on RSPB Nature Reserves.
This is a 3-year post that can be based anywhere in Scotland and will involve travel across our Scottish reserves.
What's the role about?
The core responsibilities of this role are:
- Assessing on-reserve projects against SSEN Transmission’s Biodiversity Enhancement metric and RSPB Scotland’s existing ecological priorities
- Working closely with both organisations to develop suitable Biodiversity Enhancement projects that deliver priority nature conservation objectives, within the requirements of the Scottish planning system.
- Advising both organisations on ecological aspects of potential projects to maximise nature conservation benefit
- Developing Habitat Management Plans and evaluating the expected ecological performance of projects.
- Identifying habitat management revisions through observation and analysis of ongoing management.
Essential skills, knowledge and experience:
- Using net gain biodiversity metrics (ideally the SSEN metric) to design tangible habitat restoration projects, and knowledge of their application in a Scottish context.
- Use of UKHab (Phase 1, NVC also desirable) to carry out surveys on a broad range of habitat and species, to a consistent high standard.
- Developing habitat management plans to deliver ecological goals.
- Flexibility and solutions focused - a strong desire and ability to find a way forward when existing approaches aren’t working.
- Collaboration in multi-disciplinary project teams and the skills required to maintain and develop good relations across many stakeholders.

This role is currently a full-time role, focusing on supporting parishes with digital giving, helping with technical issues as well as encouraging best fundraising practice. It might suit someone who is a recent graduate and who is interested in technology, and developing their experience in digital fundraising, training and communication. Job Title: Refuge Worker
Location: This is an onsite role, located within the London Borough of Hounslow, there may be a requirement to occasionally work in the London Borough of Hillingdon.
Salary: £28, 857.12 per annum (Inclusive of London Weighting, which may not be applicable depending on your home location)
Contract type: Full Time, Fixed Term Contract (Until March 2027)
Hours: 37.5 hours

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Refuge Worker to provide high quality practical and emotional support to survivors of domestic violence and their children living in our refuges. This includes safety planning and enabling women to access housing, welfare, benefits, and legal advice. A key requirement is to provide personal welfare support and to ensure that women are provided with a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment in accordance with Refuge’s philosophical principles.
As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call rota
