Role Purpose
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the operation of multiple projects run by Bassetlaw Foodbank (BFB). They will be required to deputise for the CEO, ensure compliance is followed, that BFB’s premises are well maintained and all projects have what they need to operate on a daily basis.
About us
Bassetlaw Foodbank was established in 2012 to tackle food insecurity across the district of Bassetlaw. Since 2020 the charity has expanded to tackle poverty on multiple fronts, running projects that focus both on the affordability and accessibility of food. We support residents of Bassetlaw who are in crisis, and those at risk of falling into crisis.
Key Responsibilities
Main Duties:
· Supporting the CEO; in line with the structure chart, managing paid resources (including deputising as needed).
· To oversee and ensure the operation of all BFB’s projects in tandem with one another.
· Managing volunteers across several charity projects.
· Being responsible for compliance across BFB’s sites.
· Being a point of contact for staff, volunteers, supporters, external and referral agencies, and clients.
· Occasionally acting as a key ‘face’ of Bassetlaw Foodbank; networking on behalf of BFB; raising the profile of BFB; encouraging donations.
· Being a contact point for the organisation in relation to the charity including supporters, volunteers, referral agencies and clients.
· Ensuring the completion of daily/routine paperwork in line with operational procedures and role portraits.
· Be responsible for good operational standards and working practices in the warehouse and storage areas.
· Reviewing and updating risk assessments, policies, and procedures; keeping staff and volunteers updated with Trustee-approved information.
· Ensuring all referrals are dealt with accurately and efficiently; being aware of clients’ confidentiality and dignity. This includes talking directly to service users to triage their requests for emergency food parcels.
· Ensuring Health and Safety procedures are recorded and maintained; preparing for and actioning all Health and Safety audits.
· Ensuring Food Hygiene regulations are adhered to at all times in all BFB’s operations.
· Overseeing operational spending and other financial transactions in line with the budget.
· Ensuring all charity vehicles are maintained and compliant.
· Develop relationships with the outlying community to ensure access for all.
· Being a key holder for BFB’s sites and responding to call-outs as required.
· Occasionally filling in as the key member of staff on the mobile community shop, including driving the van and serving customers.
· Any other duties that may be reasonably requested to ensure delivery of BFB’s aims and objectives.
Person Specification
Essential Skills & Experience
· A willingness to work flexibly within the week determined by operational priorities.
· Safeguarding training Level 2, or a willingness to complete.
· Food Hygiene Level 2, or a willingness to complete.
Desirable
· Experience working with or coordinating volunteers.
Personal Qualities
About the role
Hours: 26 hours a week. We envision working across regular days (Tuesday to Friday) throughout the week, with some flexibility required on occasion.
Salary: £19,438 pro rata (£28,041 FTE equivalent)
Location: The role will be based at Bassetlaw Foodbank’s office in Worksop, but regular travel to events, meetings and other opportunities across the district will be required.

Additional information: Outdoor working and community outreach are occasional parts of the role. Some evening or weekend work may occasionally be required to attend events or activities.
Please note that as this role may include working with vulnerable adults the successful candidate will be subject to a successful DBS check.

The Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner provides trauma-informed, low-intensity psychological support to male survivors of sexual harms. The role maintains high standards of clinical governance, records interventions accurately and ensures each client receives safe, responsive and effective therapeutic support.
About You
You’ll be comfortable supporting people affected by trauma and able to provide structured, evidence-based psychological interventions within a flexible and person-centred approach. You may already have experience of working with men, sexual harms, mental health or complex needs, although we also welcome candidates whose transferable experience has prepared them for this work. Head of Support and Advocacy
The Head of Support and Advocacy provides operational leadership across We Are Survivors’ support and advocacy services. Experience of working with men, sexual harms or people with lived experience would be valuable, alongside the ability to build strong relationships with staff, partners and stakeholders. Your role
Join Global’s Make Some Noise as our Partnerships Manager and be at the forefront of driving fundraising income through securing and account managing high value corporate and charity partnerships.
This is a predominantly new business role (around 70%), focused on identifying opportunities, developing compelling partnership propositions and securing significant income through both commercial and charity partnerships. Alongside winning new partners, you'll manage a portfolio of existing relationships to maximise long-term value and repeat investment.
Our partnerships span two key areas:
Commercial partnerships – media-led opportunities across Global's portfolio, including headline sponsorship of Make Some Noise's October Appeal, branded content and commercial campaigns across radio, podcasts, digital and outdoor platforms.
Charity partnerships – Charity of the Year partnerships, match funding campaigns and strategic funding collaborations with trusts, foundations and other charitable funders.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with significant partnerships experience to join a successful team. You’ll be combining commercial thinking with social impact and be at the heart of making a difference in communities across the UK whilst working alongside household brands.
Key Responsibilities
New Business (70%)
Develop compelling partnership opportunities tailored to different audiences.
Identify prospects, generate leads and build a strong pipeline across both commercial and charity partnerships.
Create persuasive proposals, funding applications and pitch presentations.

Charity partnership experience with an understanding of how to pitch Charity of the Year and work with Trusts/Foundations to unlock support.
A track record of partnerships design and delivery, from identification through cultivation, stewardship and successful delivery.
A commercially minded approach, with the ability to identify partner motivations and create mutually beneficial high-value partnerships for all involved.
A credible relationship builder and networker, able to represent the work of Make Some Noise with senior stakeholders, corporate partners, charitable funders and industry networks.
Comfort undertaking prospect research, determining potential partner priorities (both stated and implied) and framing approaches specific to these.
Experience working within budgets, income reporting and finding solutions.
