The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) is seeking an organised and proactive Policy and External Affairs Assistant to support the delivery of our influential policy, public affairs and external engagement work across the UK.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the College’s Policy and External Affairs Department, providing vital administrative and project support across three key teams: Health Policy, Policy and Public Affairs (Devolved Nations), and Media and Public Affairs. Key responsibilities include:

Job purpose
To supervise, coach and develop trainee debt advisers, ensuring they achieve the knowledge, skills and competence required to deliver high-quality debt advice in line with MaPS quality standards and organisational policies. 1. Supervise and develop Trainee Debt Advisers
Provide day-to-day line management, mentoring, coaching, technical supervision and pastoral support to Trainee Debt Advisers, enabling them to develop the competence, confidence and professional standards required to achieve accreditation and deliver high-quality debt advice. We are seeking a flexible, reliable, and enthusiastic Sessional Worker to join our Young Carers team. The primary focus of this role is to provide consistent support at our weekly Young Carers After School Club, which takes place every Thursday during term time from 4:30pm – 6:00pm. The club is delivered across two age groups (5–11 and 12–16 years), and regular attendance and commitment to supporting both groups each week is an essential requirement of the role.
You will work alongside the Young Carers team to deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote wellbeing, reduce isolation, and provide children and young people with a fun, safe, and supportive break from their caring responsibilities. You will encourage participation, build positive relationships, support behaviour where required, and help ensure every young person feels welcomed, included, and valued.
You will also play an active role in planning and preparing for the After School Club as well as assisting with the set-up before each club and the clear-up afterwards to ensure the space is safe, organised and welcoming.
In addition to the weekly After School Club, you will support the delivery of our school holiday programme, including trips, workshops, activity days, and special events, subject to your availability. This will include contacting families, promoting upcoming activities, recruiting and booking young carers onto both the After School Club and holiday activities, supporting attendance, and helping to ensure activities are well attended by those who would benefit most.
From time to time, you may also support outreach and engagement activities, including attending community events, working with local schools and partner organisations, and helping to identify hidden Young Carers so they can access the support and opportunities available through our service.
This is a sessional role, therefore hours are not guaranteed but will be offered based on project need.

We recognise that university is not the only pathway to success and that young people should be supported to explore a range of routes that reflect their ambitions, strengths and circumstances.
Early intervention is therefore essential to ensure that young migrants understand their rights, receive accurate information and appropriate support, and are able to make informed decisions about their education, training, employment and future.

Providing innovative services that act with compassion and urgency the charity works with individuals before they reach crisis point, intervening quickly and providing practical help in the form of emergency shelter and tailored support. Also an advocacy organisation, The Passage uses its voice to advocate for those who aren't heard to bring about real systemic change.
The Digital Acquisition and Supporter Journey Officer will focus on the hands-on delivery and optimisation of paid digital campaigns, email marketing and digital journeys that introduce new audiences to The Passage, encourage initial engagement, and ongoing relationships with supporters. Working collaboratively with Fundraising and Communications colleagues, the postholder will help to build, test and embed effective approaches to achieve these goals.
Digital Acquisition and Supporter Journey Officer
Contract: Permanent, full time role
Salary: £37,199
Location: Hybrid role working between home and The Passage's Head Office in Victoria. For the first three months, while you get to know the organisation's frontline services, you will be required to be based in the office four days per week, following which time the requirement will reduce to three days per week in office.

About the Role
The Development Officer will support the delivery of the Association’s income generation and partnership strategy, helping to diversify and grow funding streams across corporate partnerships, philanthropy, grants and strategic collaborations. The role exists to support the identification, development and stewardship of partnerships, with a particular focus on outreach to secure private finance and build long-term relationships with partners, investors and philanthropic funders alike. You will play a key role in supporting the full partnership lifecycle, from prospecting and engagement through to proposal development, account management and delivery.
