Our District Net-Zero Officer will take the lead in advising, supporting and encouraging on all things net-zero related with our Churches and Circuits across London. You must have knowledge of sustainability (that’s a given), but you’ll also need some skills in IT applications, some admin know how, fabulous grant writing capabilities, and be able to bring some slick confidence to the role. We value independent thinkers, working on your own initiative, but also those who can work collaboratively with a team, and bounce those ideas.

Job description 

Overall purpose of role 

The Administrative Support Officer will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and effective day-to-day running of WeProtect Global Alliance. Reporting to the Deputy Head of Operations, this new role provides wide-ranging support across administration, finance, HR, and team coordination, ensuring that internal processes run efficiently in a dynamic, remote working environment. 

Key Responsibilities 

Administrative and Operational Support 

• Provide general administrative support to the Secretariat, including correspondence, maintaining organisational records and policies, and managing virtual offices. 

• Schedule and coordinate Board and FRAC meetings, including preparing materials and accurate minute-taking. 

• Support the organisation of retreats, away days, and staff travel, as well as managing the Monday meeting rota and staff engagement activities. 

• Order equipment, business cards, and other items for staff as needed, and maintain the fixed asset register. 

• Provide ad-hoc support to the Communications Lead, assisting with administrative tasks, coordination, and document preparation as required. 

Finance and Contracts Administration 

• Support financial processes by coding and processing invoices, expenses, and receipts, assisting with monthly financial consolidation, and coding income allocations. 

• Provide support with audits (UK and Stichting), intercompany transfers, payroll variance checks, and day-to-day banking. 

• Assist with contract administration and supplier relationships, including account management (e.g. CloudTech24, Signeasy). 

• Support payment approvals and processing in Telleroo, and contribute to accurate record-keeping for budget and compliance purposes. 

Staff and HR Support 

• Support recruitment processes, including the administrative aspects of staff onboarding and offboarding. 

• Assist with payroll payment processing, insurance management, and HR compliance for UK and Irish staff. 

• Help coordinate staff support initiatives, such as leaving gifts and team events. 

Team Coordination and Events Support 

• Organise and support regular team meetings. 

• Circulate new policies, processes, and organisational updates to ensure staff remain well-informed. 

• Contribute to the delivery of the biennial Global Summit and other major events where required. 

Process Improvement and Capability Building 

• Work closely with the Deputy Head of Operations to strengthen operational systems and ensure effective, compliant day-to-day management. 

• Support internal training initiatives to build staff capability in finance, HR, and operational processes. 

• Identify opportunities to improve processes and implement best practice across the organisation.

About the role

Using your legal expertise, you will play a key role in tackling housing injustice and unfair housing practices. You will be working under our Legal Aid contract, delivering legal advice and representing tenants at court where needed. Delivering systemic change through legal challenge to prevent homelessness will also be a considerable part of the role. You will also work with the team in the Hub to help make sure people in the community are aware of their housing rights and how to enforce them, as well as providing support to Trainee Solicitors and Legal Advisers, ensuring good practice and compliance.

About You

Qualified as a Solicitor,  you will have a strong knowledge of housing law and substantial experience of managing a wide range of housing cases. You have strong skills in court advocacy, litigation, report writing, file reviews and are able to meet financial targets. You will be able to meet the 2018 SQM supervisor standard in housing and be able to demonstrate experience of working under a legal aid contract.

About The Team

Our Legal Service provides specialist legal knowledge across Shelter through four teams covering Community Legal advice, Strategic Litigation, the National Legal Team and Legal Support Team. Shelter North East has been supporting people in the region for over 25 years and provides advice over 12 local authorities. Main Duties

• Maintain oversight of data being captured in the Microsoft-based impact tool to ensure consistency and quality for supporting organisational planning and decision making
• Support teams in data collection by working with internal stakeholders and ensure data managed by the Impact and Learning team is accurate, complete and reliable
• Contribute to production of reports including dashboards, and presentations for various audiences (internal and external)
• Work closely with the IT team and others to support the integration and optimisation of organisational systems, including the project database, Impact Tool and Matter Management System, and potentially other systems including fundraising and contact management

Kineara has a new vacancy for an experienced Housing support worker to join our small and dedicated team for our new School Housing Advice project.

About the project 

The School Housing Advice Support Project builds on the success of a pilot program and aims to provide tailored housing advice and support to families, particularly those living in temporary accommodation (TA). The project started in January 2025 and is currently being delivered at three primary schools in the borough of Southwark.

The initiative offers practical housing advice, casework, workshops, and legal support through a collaborative partnership between Kineara and Southwark Law Centre. It also addresses challenges such as poor housing conditions, legal proceedings, and impacts on families' health and wellbeing.

About the role 

We are looking for an experienced, motivated and compassionate support worker to deliver housing advice and practical support to parents from four Primary Schools in Southwark. This role involves conducting housing surgeries, providing follow-up casework, and running workshops to empower clients with the knowledge and skills to address their housing-related issues. The successful candidate will work closely with clients to identify their needs and offer tailored solutions to help them achieve sustainable housing outcomes. The role will be based mostly in Southwark, and you will be working in partnership with schools, community organisations and the council to coordinate tailored support for each client to avoid eviction and sustain tenancies, address suitability of the property, mediating with landlords where necessary and providing advice for onward housing when needed. The objectives of these programmes are to avoid evictions, sustain tenancies or move to a better suited property, improve wellbeing and awareness of tenancy rights and housing polices.

• You will have experience of working with families and individuals with complex needs, as well as some experience of providing housing support.

Akshaya Patra is one of the world’s largest school meals charities – nourishing 2.35 million children in India every day and now expanding our impact across the UK.

SLRA is a well-established local migrant support organisation working with and for refugees, asylum seekers and other migrants who are at risk or in crisis as a result of immigration issues. We provide specialist immigration advice (SLRA is regulated to provide advice at IAA Level 3) as well as a broad range of practical, social and therapeutic support services. SLRA also campaigns for a fairer immigration system, involving local people with lived experience in influencing local and national policy and practice.

We are looking for a Senior Immigration Advisor or Solicitor who will be responsible for the delivery of immigration advice and casework to service users in a wide range of circumstances, although most will be rough sleepers. The work will be varied and will cover a broad range of asylum and immigration issues, along with the opportunity to support advocacy work and to improve access to justice.

We would love to hear from you if you:

• Are an Immigration Advisor regulated at IAA Level 3 and/or qualified solicitor with substantial relevant experience of providing high quality advice and casework to clients.
• Have a good understanding of a wide range of legal, rights and entitlements issues as they relate to immigration and asylum, along with knowledge of and empathy with the backgrounds and experiences of migrants who are in crisis or at risk

As the Head of Engagement and Communications, you’ll support the Executive Director in leading AMOSSHE as a senior leader. You’ll also act as the Deputy Director, contributing to operational management, strategic development and stepping in for the Executive Director as needed. You’ll have line management responsibilities for members of the team. As well, you’ll be responsible for shaping and delivering impactful communications strategies that drive member engagement, promote AMOSSHE’s events and initiatives, and elevate the organisation’s profile.

Contract type: Permanent, full time (37 hours a week).

Location: Hybrid. Two days (Tuesday and Wednesday) in the office, central London. This is a requirement of the role.

Salary range: £45,000 to £50,000, with an expected starting salary between £45,000 and £47,000, depending on experience.

Practice Development Officer

We are looking for a Practice Development Officer to support the design and delivery of projects that influence local leaders and commissioners to improve the availability of evidence-based support for families across early family help and children’s social care.

The Role

The organisation supports local areas to use evidence to improve their services and outcomes for children and families. The Practice Development Officer will be part of a team who work with local leaders to support their decision making about how to increase the availability of services and approaches which have evidence of improving child outcomes.

As Practice Development Officer, you will support work that helps local services for children and families use evidence more effectively across Family Hubs, Family Help, and statutory social work. You will contribute to projects aligned with Foundations’ priority areas, including domestic abuse, supporting parenting, strengthening family networks and relationships for care experienced children. 

Your tasks will include organising and coordinating activities that support service improvement, designing and delivering learning sessions to build skills and confidence in using evidence, supporting the generation of new evidence to understand what works, and working with national organisations to promote the wider use of evidence in practice.

About You

We are looking for someone with an in-depth understanding of UK policy, legislation and practice relating to children’s services, including how this responds to the needs of vulnerable and disadvantaged groups.

You will have experience of:

• Practice in children’s social work and/or early intervention services
• Co-ordinating projects for service improvement or practice development in a relevant sector, for example local authority children’s services, health, or NHS
• Translating complex information into practical messages, advice, and tools.
