About the role
Thousands of people in our communities are affected by breast cancer, and many of these are compelled to help by fundraising for Breast Cancer Now. To enable us to best support our network of fundraisers and create a sector leading programme, we've recently reconfigured our community fundraising team.
This role is all about leadership and strategy development and implementation. You’ll lead your team to new heights of success, providing expert and unwavering support.
You’ll spearhead the development of your region and country’s community fundraising programme. Innovating, adapting and learning, this role will build sustainable income from new audiences and loyal supporters.
This dynamic role will see you lead on a range of activities such as marketing, supporter thanking, reward and recognition and supporter engagement events. You’ll also manage the community fundraising operations team, who are responsible for mass market DIY fundraising along with analysis, reporting and fulfilment.
You’ll manage a team of six, including two line reports. You’ll nurture and inspire them to excel in their roles, empowering them to take an active role in how we do things.
When it comes to supporter experience, your aim is sector leading standards. This role cares deeply about providing exceptional stewardship and relationship management, delighting our supporters and increasing their lifetime value.
About you
You are person centred and passionate about the difference your skills, experience and tenacity can make. Strategically minded, you’ll be driven by success, believe in going the extra mile and enjoy a varied, fast paced role.
You’ll embrace the challenge of ‘building back’ in your area and growing relationship fundraising. Ideally, you’ll have a good understanding of mass market DIY fundraising too, including supporter journeys, data processes, reporting and analysis.
Your love of teamwork and the art of inspiring your team to achieve amazing results will shine through all that you do. You’ll also love the buzz of creating new income and smashing targets.

Primary location of role and hybrid working

The Role
We are looking for a Programme Lead – Climate Advocacy and Green Buildings to join Reall’s Programme and Business Development Team, lead Reall’s climate and green buildings agenda, support our climate advocacy efforts and drive the organisation forward as a global thought and practice-leader in climate-smart and affordable homes. About the role
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience in sustainable urban development, ideally including affordable housing in emerging markets.
- Expertise in green buildings and their relationship to sustainability goals such as the Paris Agreement and the SDGs.
- Knowledge of, or experience in a relevant green buildings’ certification tool (such as EDGE, BREEAM, LEED etc.).
- Strategy planning capabilities, and excellent project and programme design and management capabilities.
- Excellent relationship building, collaboration, influencing and listening skills.

We’re looking for a passionate policy and campaigns expert to lead our work driving equity in healthcare and securing justice in the Infected Blood Scandal.
Working closely with the Chief Executive and Management Team, you will lead the development and delivery of HCT’s influencing strategy including:
- Driving our work on the UK Infected Blood Inquiry and new compensation system, to ensure everyone affected can access justice and that the Inquiry recommendations are rapidly acted upon by the UK Government.
- Developing the policy and campaigns strategy for our new Inclusion Health programme, focused on improving health and access to health services for marginalised and excluded populations (also known as “Inclusion health” or “PLUS” populations within the NHS Core20PLUS5 approach to addressing health inequalities).
- Building strategic partnerships with like-minded organisations to ensure Government takes a long-term and evidence-based approach to hepatitis C elimination – meeting our target to eliminate hepatitis C in the UK by 2030. This will cut across work in drug policy, health and justice, inclusion health and communicable diseases.
This is a pivotal role for the organisation, coming at a crucial juncture in our 20-year history, and coinciding with a new Government and following the final report of the Infected Blood inquiry.
The role will provide an excellent opportunity to take on wide-ranging policy and campaigns responsibilities encompassing research, influencing decision makers, building coalitions, developing campaigns and producing campaign materials, developing HCT’s campaigners’ network, and building public and political support for our aims and our communities.
You will be a strategic thinker with great political and communication skills, enthusiasm for working directly with communities, and experience of policy, public affairs and/or campaigning work. Ideally, you will have an understanding of inequalities and/or experience of working with ‘Inclusion Health’ populations including people experiencing homelessness, the criminal justice systems, drug use and/or other exclusion. Overall purpose
The Philanthropy Manager will manage and steward a portfolio of funders and donors – across trusts and foundations, statutory sources and major donors – to secure annual and multi-year gifts in support of Breaking Barriers’ vision. As well as managing relationships with our existing donors there will be a focus on creating new relationships through proactive prospecting and developing a long-term strategic approach to stewardship and relationship development.
You will be an ambitious, enthusiastic, energetic, and autonomous fundraiser with a demonstrable passion for supporting people from a refugee background. You will have a strong track record of high-value relationship management and fundraising, ideally specialising in Trusts, Statutory, Major Donor fundraising or a related area. We are delighted that you are interested in joining the Social Impact Fast Track. In the first year of your programme you will join the team as an Analyst and, subject to successful completion of year one, in year two you will progress to Senior Analyst. Between years one and two you will receive a two-week paid break and a budget of up to £1500 to complete a research project on ‘Impact and Sustainability’ and report your findings back to representatives of our Group Board. You will also have the opportunity to have a two-week placement in one of our partner organisations, to help you develop your professional skill set. At the end of the programme we expect a number of participants to apply for and progress into our Officer and Manager roles, or look to secure positions with our partners or other like minded social purpose organisations.

About the role
Our West London Partnerships and Volunteer Recruitment Manager (P&VRM) works closely with P&VRMs in Herts and Surrey and our Communications team, to promote the MCR programme to organisations and individuals.
