Successful candidates for the Member Response Team Leader will be able to demonstrate:

The main duties of the Member Response Team Leader role include:

• Managing a team of Member Response Team Administrators

With an ability to foster a positive and collaborative working environment both remotely and in person, the Member Response Team Leader will be expected to provide clear direction, conduct appraisals, and support the professional development of their team. The role of Member Response Team Leader offers hybrid working with flexibility to work from home outside of peak periods. Due to key operational and democratic activities, the Member Response Team Leader will be required to attend the office daily from February to April each year and additional periods throughout the year. Outside of this period, hybrid flexibility will apply in line with team needs and organisational policy.

Main duties and responsibilities

1. People Management

• Day-to-day management of staff and workflow
• Manage work allocation, future planning and support for team/line manager
• Through the appraisal system, identify training and development needs, train or organise training for staff
• Undertake induction programmes, 1 to 1s and appraisals with staff as appropriate
• Apply the staff conduct policies e.g. discipline, grievance, capability, dignity at work and IT security policies as and when required

Governance Manager (12-months maternity cover)

About the role

This is an exciting time to join Emmaus UK and provide maternity cover for our Governance Manager.

This standalone role is responsible for managing the operations of the board and committees of Emmaus UK, as well as for providing support to local boards at Emmaus communities across Great Britain as they look to develop their governance arrangements.

The postholder will manage the board of trustees, leading on recruitment, induction and compliance, ensuring meetings run smoothly and are minuted effectively. They will also work as company secretary, managing the smooth-running of the AGM, and ensuring returns are made to Companies House and the Charity Commission within appropriate timeframes.

The Governance Manager is responsible for monitoring the development of policies, tracking completion and working with managers to continuously improve policies in line with changing regulation.

The role will also involve extensive work with members of the Emmaus movement, through the performance of reviews of local governance of members, reporting back to local boards on areas to celebrate and actions to develop. They will also be responsible for developing Emmaus UK’s best practice toolkit for trustees to refer to in developing their local governance arrangements, and for liaising with the wider Emmaus movement through facilitation of the membership processes with Emmaus Europe and Emmaus International.

• Manage the board of trustees, leading on recruitment, delivering a comprehensive and appropriate induction, dealing with enquiries, maintaining declarations of interest, skills audit and eligibility forms and ensuring all details are up to date and accurate.

Sutton Night Watch is a registered charity which was set up to support and raise awareness for the homeless people within the London Borough of Sutton and surrounding areas.

Over the past 10 years, with the support of local business, the local community and fundraising efforts, we have been able to grow and expand into our own, permanent base in December 2019.  From here we are able to not only provide the essentials such as food, showers and clothing supplies, but we are able to also offer our service users a range of health services, benefit advice, wellbeing and educational based courses, clothes, washing facilities and most importantly, a place where people are seen, heard and understood. We also support people to find secure accommodation. In the past 3 months we have found homes for 13 people.

Job Purpose:

The Fundraising Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing fundraising strategies to secure financial support for the organization.

Our annual fundraising target is set at c250k (cash income) plus additional targets for in-kind donations, preloved donations and donated services. These support the growth and sustainability of our operations, ensuring we can continue to provide essential items and services to local people experiencing homelessness.

This role involves managing donor relationships, coordinating fundraising campaigns, organizing events, and ensuring income targets are met to sustain and grow the charity’s mission.

Key Responsibilities:

Fundraising Strategy & Planning

• Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy across individual giving, corporate partnerships, grants, trusts, community fundraising, and events.
• Set annual income targets and monitor performance against goals.
• Identify new opportunities for sustainable income generation.

Donor & Stakeholder Management

• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with donors, corporate partners, and sponsors.
• Ensure regular communication, reporting, and stewardship to encourage long-term support.
• Work closely with trustees, senior management, and volunteers to maximize fundraising potential

Campaigns & Events

• Plan, deliver, and evaluate fundraising campaigns and events (in-person and digital).
• Oversee community and challenge events, ensuring participant engagement and fundraising success.
• Leverage digital channels and social media to promote fundraising initiatives.

· Grant & Bid Writing

• Research and apply for funding opportunities from trusts, foundations, and grant-making bodies.
• Prepare compelling proposals and reports to secure and retain funding.

· Financial Management & Reporting

•  Oversee fundraising budgets, track expenditure, and ensure cost-effective delivery of campaigns.
• Produce accurate and timely reports for senior management and trustees.
• Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations and ethical standards.

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience in fundraising,  within the nonprofit sector.
• Strong track record of meeting or exceeding income targets.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
•  Knowledge of fundraising regulations, GDPR, and donor stewardship best practices.
• Strong project management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

HOME-START HILLINGDON (HSH)

Co-ordinator (Full-time)

We are looking for a non-judgmental, compassionate individual who would fit into our passionate team.

Purpose of the Role

Manage and support a caseload of volunteers to empower vulnerable families in giving their children the best start in life, occasionally providing direct support.  Contribute to volunteer recruitment, training, development, and the effective day-to-day operation of the organisation

Key Responsibilities. As a HSH Co-ordinator you will:

• Carry out initial home-visits and support families to set and monitor goals
• Match volunteers with families according to need and capacity
• Assess the suitability and complexity of referrals, liaise with referrers for additional information, and support onward referrals
• Supervise an appropriate caseload of volunteers and enable them to support families
• Monitor safeguarding concerns and liaise with the Operations Manager/Director as needed
• Contribute to the delivery of the Volunteer Preparation Courses
• Contribute to recruiting, selecting and preparing suitable volunteers
• Support the evaluation of the impact of HSH’s volunteering programme and family support
• Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with key health partners, including those from Parent Infant Mental Health Teams, Midwifery, IAPT, Perinatal Teams, Health Visiting and other groups

 You will need to be a car owner/driver

The ideal candidate

We’re looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to be our named competent person for statutory compliance; covering health & safety, fire, water hygiene, electrical safety and environmental standards. You’ll coordinate planned and reactive maintenance - liaising with external contractors, keep accurate compliance records, and produce clear, risk-based reports for senior management. You’ll work with a high degree of autonomy, escalating issues and key strategic budget decisions as required.

What you’ll do

• Own compliance and risk management, maintaining live risk assessments and closing remedial actions within required timescales.
• Schedule and evidence statutory checks and liaise with approved contractors and maintain accurate records.
• Track maintenance spend and provide monthly variance reporting; support value-for-money supplier arrangements.
• Lead facilities projects as required - typically small to medium in scale.
• Drive sustainability improvements across energy, water and waste.
• Act as first responder to facilities incidents during working hours.
