About the role
We’re excited to be recruiting a Head of Design and Impact to lead WWF-UK’s work on programme design, impact measurement and learning, ensuring our strategies, programmes and projects deliver meaningful outcomes for people and nature.
In this role, you’ll lead a specialist team providing expert advice and quality assurance across the organisation, supporting strong programme design, effective monitoring and evaluation, and the embedding of WWF’s Environmental and Social Safeguards. You’ll work closely with senior leaders, portfolio leads and teams across conservation, policy, advocacy and fundraising, helping ensure impact is clearly evidenced and learning is embedded in how we work.
You’ll also play a senior advisory role, providing assurance to the Executive Group and Trustees on the quality of programme design and impact reporting, and working with the wider WWF network to strengthen approaches to impact, learning and accountability.
This is a senior leadership role for someone with deep expertise in design, monitoring and evaluation, strong people leadership skills, and the confidence to influence across complex programmes and stakeholders in a global context.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Internal Auditor join a large not-for-profit organisation on a 1 year fixed term contract. Role purpose statement: The Programme Assistant, Enquiries plays a vital role in the Fellowship Programme working directly with academics facing immediate risk in their home countries to carry out due diligence or signposting. This includes managing an individual caseload, dealing with prospective applications and general enquiries, providing administrative support to the Enquiries team as well as support across the Fellowship Programme when needed.
Organisational Background
The Council for At-Risk Academics is a UK-registered charity founded in 1933 under the leadership of William Beveridge, to rescue academics suffering persecution under the rise of Nazism and facilitate their continued work in safety. Sixteen Cara Fellows from the 1930s and 1940s became Nobel Laureates, and many more innovators in their fields, including, Nikolaus Pevsner, Lise Meitner and Karl Popper. A number of Cara’s founders and Council members also personally provided places and/or funds to help individual academics; and Cara, known in the 1930s as the AAC, later the SPSL, was closely involved in the successful effort in 1933 to bring to London the Warburg Institute art library, which had been prohibited by the Nazis, and six of its staff. The Fellowship Programme is the continuation of the rescue mission operation started in 1933.
Cara has been a lifeline to academics at risk for over 90 years, as and when world events have placed them in the line of fire: Hungarian Uprising, Cold War, Apartheid South Africa, Iran, Latin American Juntas, Vietnam, Kosovo, DRC, Rwanda, Sudan, Zimbabwe etc. and, more recently Iraq, Turkey, Yemen, Palestine, Syria, Afghanistan and Ukraine. Cara support is typically framed as temporary sanctuary offered at times of heightened risk.
Cara Objectives ‘To assist academics who have been, or are, or are at risk of being, subject to discrimination, persecution, suffering or violence on account of race, religion, nationality, membership of a particular social group, or political opinion, to relieve needs among them and their dependants and ensure that their specialist knowledge and abilities can continue to be used for the benefit of the public.’

Role & Responsibilities
Casework

Head of Community Sponsorship Role
This is a rare opportunity to lead Citizens UK’s community sponsorship campaign and help build the movement that will be at the heart of a community-led welcome.
This new role comes at an exciting and crucial time, as we seek to build and embed this new form of named community sponsorship in the UK. As Head of Community Sponsorship you will lead on our strategy to develop named sponsorship as a transformative part of the UK’s approach to refugee resettlement and community power. This will involve building a broad-base of civil society partners ready to sponsor refugees and to add their voice to the campaign. You will lead on the campaigning and advocacy strategy as we ensure quality in the Government policy and cross-Party political support. THE CHARITY
Suicide is the leading cause of death of men under 35 and three quarters of those who die by suicide are men. James’ Place exists to save the lives of men in suicidal crisis through delivering clinical services. We are a charity currently offering free, life-saving therapy to suicidal men at our centres in Liverpool, London and Newcastle.
James’ Place was set up by Clare Milford Haven and Nick Wentworth-Stanley in 2008 after their twenty-one-year-old son, James, died by suicide ten days after a minor operation. James had no history of mental illness or depression and had sought urgent help for anxiety and suicidal thoughts but didn’t find it.
James' Place was set up to make the experience of finding help as easy as possible. We offer men who are experiencing a suicidal crisis a brief, intensive, therapeutic intervention in a safe environment. Men who walk through the door at James’ Place will be in a space where they feel valued and respected. We provide a calm and peaceful environment both inside the centres and in our outside spaces, accessible to men who visit us as well as their friends and families. We have so far treated over 4,300 men who might otherwise have been unable to access the support they desperately need.
In early 2026 we will be opening our fourth centre in Birmingham. Our new centre in Birmingham will be there to support suicidal men living in the West Midlands.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are expanding our team of clinicians to deliver our clinically proven intervention at our James’ Place centre in London. As a Suicide Prevention Therapist, you will be an experienced mental health professional or therapist with demonstrable interest in suicide prevention. You will support men who are experiencing a suicidal crisis and their supporter(s), delivering our unique intervention and co-producing effective safety plans to maintain their safety. Training and support will be provided by the Head of Centre in London and the wider James’ Place team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical
· Conduct initial Welcome Assessments with men in a suicidal crisis, assessing risk and the suitability of the James’ Place intervention and co-producing effective safety plans
· Deliver our therapeutic intervention, building trust and exploring the reasons for crisis
· Use the Lay Your Cards on the Table intervention to encourage men to talk about and explore their feelings, attitudes and behaviours and develop positive coping strategies
· Take full clinical responsibility of the men under James’ Place care, as a member of the clinical team and in consultation with Senior Suicide Prevention Therapist and Head of Centre when needed
· Escalate care to appropriate services when necessary, including emergency services and secondary mental health teams
· Deliver one-off guidance sessions to supporters of men under the James’ Place care
· Work collaboratively with other professionals to coordinate comprehensive care
· Demonstrate self-awareness and regularly dedicate time and space, inside and outside of work, to keeping yourself well
· Undergo clinical supervision with a qualified supervisor to reflect on clinical work and raise any issues or concerns arising from work
· Remain up to date with developments in law, theories and research
· Engage in peer support sessions, caseload discussions and Reflective Practice with the team

- To work in compliance with employment law and best practice for HR processes including, contracts, starters and leavers, employment checks, DBS checks, Right to Work checks and pre-employment referencing.
- Support with note taking for internal HR meetings, with guidance from the HR team.
- Arrange candidate interviews on request and follow up to ensure documentation and recruitment records are held according to our retention policy and GDPR standards.

HR Systems and Data
- Monitoring the Breathe HR System, ensuring employee profiles are up to date, including personal data, annual leave entitlement and job changes.
- Creating profiles for new employees on Breathe and ensuring the dashboard is up to date for all employees.
- Responding to queries regarding annual leave and absence, reporting and calculating allowances as required.
- Maintain our online E-learning resource (iHasco) ensuring new starters are onboarded and leavers are offboarded promptly. Complete monthly reporting on mandatory training for each directorate.
- Maintain our Cash Plan and EAP system to ensure new starters are added and leavers are offboarded.
- Ensure that Breathe is up to date and to be able to produce accurate and timely reports that aid decision making within HMN.
- Administrating and prompting line managers to complete the probation process and escalate if there are any performance feedback to the Senior Co-ordinator.
- Complete probation communications to ensure the documents are completed and up to date on Breathe and communications to employee, payroll and cash plan provider is accurate, prompt and up to date.
- Compile accurately information from HR systems and timesheets received each month for submission to payroll for processing.
- To collate and analyse employee data on a quarterly basis to produce accurate reports and visual tables for the Board.
- Update the HMN Organisational Chart and publish monthly intranet announcements on new starters and leavers.
General Responsibilities
- To promote HMN services, attending campaign and open days as required to raise mental health awareness.
- At all times to carry out every aspect of your duties with due regard to HMN policies and procedures including the Equalities statement
- To maintain the utmost confidentiality at all times.

Your role
This role sits in the Philanthropy & Partnerships Directorate, a high performing team that is responsible for all areas of high value fundraising including major donors, trusts and foundations, corporate partners and special events/high value committees. We play a vital role in delivering a stewardship and communications programme to support the wider Directorate with the knowledge, tools and expertise to recognise, thank and update our highest value supporters.
We will need you to:
- Maintain and manage data lists and mailing processes for key communications, including biannual newsletters, season’s greetings cards and the Charity’s Impact Report.
- Support fundraisers to coordinate and deliver correspondence to donors and partners, including sharing news from the hospital or preparing routine updates, ensuring all communications are accurate, timely, and properly recorded.
- Upkeep all donor recognition information, including tracking members of the Charity’s stewardship circles and auditing donor recognition across the hospital.
- Coordinate donor recognition pages for the Charity’s annual Impact Report, working closely with the PR and Communications team.
- Coordinate with hospital staff to ensure donor recognition is accurately recorded, appropriately displayed, and installed on schedule.
- Support the delivery of donor stewardship projects by managing administrative tasks such as researching and sourcing suppliers or products, managing orders, and coordinating logistics across teams to ensure projects run smoothly and efficiently.
- Oversee stock levels of materials and assets – order, receive, store and distribute materials to the team as required.

There aren’t many organisations that can say they’ve been serving their community for over 550 years. Croydon Almshouses (CA) can and we’re proud to be the oldest charity in Croydon, rooted in a long-standing commitment to local people and place.
Since 1447, we’ve provided almshouse accommodation to older people with a connection to Croydon who are negatively affected by poverty. For the past 40 years, we’ve also awarded grants to voluntary, community and faith sector organisations, and individuals across the Borough.

To help us deliver this, we’re recruiting a proactive and organised Senior Administrator, who is a values-led team player, primarily with a robust background in financial administration, who demonstrates exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills to support CA’s staff team to deliver on its ambitious objectives.
The opportunity
This is a broad Senior Administrator position which plays a pivotal role in supporting CA’s financial and operational functions.
This position is heavily focused on finance administration, including managing accounts payable and receivable processes, reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, and ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance with internal procedures.
In addition to finance responsibilities, you will provide general vital administrative support to the wider staff team’s day-to-day office administration tasks including overseeing health and safety, property & estates and facilitating the relationship with have with our residents.

About you

In addition to your finance expertise, you are experienced in managing general administrative support across an organisation. You communicate clearly and professionally with a range of stakeholders, maintain organised and up to date documentation systems, and contribute positively to team operations. Above all, you’ll be approachable and down-to-earth, with plenty of common sense and a good sense of humour.
Essential criteria:
· Proven experience in a financial or finance-focused administrative role
· Experience of maintaining accurate financial records, including income, expenditure, and reconciliations
· Experience of using accounting or finance software (preferably Xero)
· Significant experience and understanding of financial bookkeeping
· Experience facilitating monthly payroll
· Experience working to deadlines with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
