Surviving Economic Abuse (SEA) is the only UK charity dedicated to raising awareness of economic abuse and transforming responses to it.
Since our founding in 2017, we’ve proudly campaigned successfully for the recognition of economic abuse in UK law and influenced wide-ranging systemic change to transform responses to it. We're now entering an ambitious new phase, and we’re seeking a dynamic, strategic and values-led Head of Income as part of the Senior Leadership Teamto help drive it forward.
This is a critical time for SEA. With a bold three-year strategy now in place, we’re looking for an experienced income-generation leader to oversee and diversify our income streams — across high-net-worth giving, corporate partnerships, trusts and foundations, and earned income through consultancy and training. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Head of Income will play a vital role in shaping the future of the organisation and enabling us to scale our impact.
The Head of Income will lead a talented team, including our Senior Fundraising Manager (trusts and foundations) and Corporate Development Manager (strategic multi-stakeholder partnerships), and collaborate closely with our CEO, Trustees and earned income delivery teams (consultancy and training) whilst also being hands on in relationship development. Your approach will be collaborative, survivor-centred and driven by SEA’s values. We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with strong experience in high-value fundraising and/or commercial income generation.

What you will be achieving
As People Assistant, you will be supporting an established People and Culture (P&C) team to deliver an efficient and accurate P&C administration service across the Academy, ensuring that all P&C records are maintained properly. You will have some admin experience, which could be easily transferred to working in a P&C team. What you will be doing
- Supporting the People Business Partners in managing the recruitment activity. Recording diversity information after each recruitment round, ensuring it is available for annual analysis.
- Managing the new starter admin process, including conducting reference checks, induction meetings, and ensuring line managers follow the induction and probationary procedures.
- Undertaking P&C administration, including updating the HR employee database (Cezanne), P&C spreadsheets, preparing correspondence, and responding to external reference requests.
- Maintaining and updating information on the staff organogram and number of permanent/fixed-term posts on a monthly basis.
- Supporting the People Business Partner to prepare payroll administration and paperwork.
- Monitoring the sick leave and annual leave processes - escalating any potential issues to the People Business Partners and Head, as appropriate.
- Supporting the People Business Partners with any training administration, booking paperwork, and supporting training day coordination.
- Being the super user of the HR system.
- Updating any changes in the system, as and when needed.
- Supporting Academy away days.

What you’ll bring to the role
- The ambition to study towards CIPD level 3, or be studying towards.
- Experience of doing admin (within a P&C department would be an advantage).

As well as having our own inhouse Face to Face Fundraising team, we work with circa 4 agencies who provide us with the resource to engage and inspire the public to sign up to monthly donations supporting CRUK. To date, we have generated over £120m from face-to-face fundraising third-party individual giving activity, having a huge impact for our life saving research.
As a Face-to-Face Fundraising Manager, you'll be the driving force behind delivering our ambitious fundraising targets in this area, maximising opportunities, working with a range of agencies, stakeholders and your team to deliver our outsourced face to face acquisition programme in the UK, ensuring its success day to day.
You don't need to have worked specifically in the Face-to-Face Fundraising space previously, but you will need to come with experience of managing multiple agency relationships as well as strong stakeholder management skills.

What will I be doing?

What are you looking for?
Relevant experience of managing agency relationships, contract management, managing performance, meeting or exceeding key performance indicators ( Face to Face agencies would be beneficial but isn't essential).
Experience of working in a heavily regulated environment and ability to get up to speed with current fundraising regulation.
Relevant experience of planning, delivery and analysis of end to end project activity or campaigns (fundraising or face to face would be beneficial).
Flexible approach, with an ability to work successfully in a dynamic operating environment.
Proactive approach to problem solving with ability to manage several projects at any one time.
Excellent influencing and negotiation skills - both internal and external stakeholders, and suppliers.

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Digital Learning Content Specialist to join our Sector Support team. This role is pivotal in designing, developing, and managing engaging digital learning experiences through our Learning Management System (LMS). We are seeking a new Finance and Administration Officer following the upcoming retirement of a long-serving team member. A key member of the SLA central office team, the Finance and Administration Officer plays a vital role in ensuring smooth financial operations and providing essential administrative support for our membership. In addition to administration support, this role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, book-keeping and effective day-to-day financial operations, producing financial reports using XERO and our CRM.
You will be experienced in financial and administration operations of a charity or similar , with an AAT qualification or matching worked experience. Familiarity with XERO will be an advantage. You will be able to bring understanding of cashflow and financial analysis of figure, working with accountants as required.
You will also have excellent customer service skills and be able to work effectively with all stakeholders from our members, to funders to suppliers. You will be determined and have an excellent eye for financial and administrative detail. Your duties will include general administration and:
Financial operations and record-keeping
- Manage day-to-day financial transactions and maintain accurate records of all SLA accounts and petty cash; book-keeping
- Process and record all incoming payments, including foreign cheques (into bank account)
- Monitor cashflow and expenditure, keeping track of spending
- Pay invoices upon approval and ensure timely monthly payments (e.g. pensions, HMRC)
- Handle creditor and supplier communications and resolve related issues
- Monitor and follow up on overdue payments with a focus on membership payments
Invoicing and income tracking
- Issue and track membership and subscriber invoices and reminders
- Keep office team informed of payment statuses
- Prepare sales, cost, and profit reports for SLA publications
- Conduct annual publications stock take
Payroll and reporting
- Liaise with the accountant on salary payments; process salary BACS payments
- Support year-end financial reporting by providing necessary documentation to accountants
- Produce regular financial reports and analysis as required
- Supporting preparation of budgets, working with accountants as required
Event financial administration
- Manage financial aspects of SLA events, particularly the annual conference (e.g., exhibitors, sponsors, and delegates)
- Process and record staff/trustee expense claims
- Support with bookings accommodation and travel for Board meetings
To be successful in this role you should demonstrate:
- Strong experience in financial and office administration
- Knowledge of accounting principles
- Experience of working with XERO or similar
- Experience of using CRM systems (ideally IMIS)
- Experience of working for a small charity and / or membership association
- Accuracy, numeracy, attention to detail
- Ability to manage own workload, prioritise and meet competing deadlines
- Excellent customer service manner
- Being a team player

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be managing one Finance Assistant. Working closely with the Head of Finance overseeing all processes and controls that feed into management accounts preparation, you will also be business partnering with the Senior Leadership Team, and budget holders.

Key duties and responsibilities will include:
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, working with Finance Assistant to ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately.
- Lead the completion of month-end processes including preparation and posting of journals, balance sheet reconciliations including restricted fund reconciliations, and maintenance of control accounts.
- Assist the Head of Finance on drafting management accounts and cashflow
- Provide financial business partnering support to Senior Leadership Team and Managers as required.
- Collate and provide monthly payroll information to external payroll provider, reconciling payroll outputs to financial records.
- Support the Head of Finance in the preparation of year-end financial statements in line with the Charity SORP and statutory requirements.
- Act as the lead point of contact for the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and preparing audit schedules and documentation as required.
- Act as a key contact for the charity's banking, payment platforms (Stripe, CAF, Paypal etc) and financial systems (Sage).
- Monitor bank accounts, oversee and authorise payment uploads, and ensure accurate reporting via banking platforms.
- Provide reconciliations for fundraising between CRM (Beacon) and Financial System (Sage).
- Lead and empower the Finance Assistant
Candidates applying for this role must have the following:
- Qualified by Experience (QBE), a recognised CCAB qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) or working towards a recognised Finance qualification
- Producing monthly or quarterly management accounts and providing suitable narrative as required
- Supporting or leading on aspects of the year-end processes and/ or the annual audit, including producing year-end schedules, accounts and liaising with the auditors
- Ability to build strong relationships with budget holders and being able to challenge them in a compassionate and respectful manner
- Strong verbal and written communication skills at all levels
- Strong interpersonal skills and being proactive
- Experience working on Sage 50

This includes completing monthly stock audits to ensure adequate levels or parts/materials/equipment are maintained and readily available for repairs. Ensure asset lists are updated with live information • Carry out site inspections & audits to ensure Health & Safety/Compliance & quality/standards are met • Carry out internal works to void properties. Inclusive but not limited to painting, minor repairs, plumbing and void safety checks. • To liaise with, staff, and residents as required, to carry out any maintenance tasks ensuring high levels of customer service • To liaise with and ensure performance of external contractors • Carry out allocation & scheduling of work tasks to staff and external contractors. Produce detailed specifications through to quotation. • Review when required - reports, quotations & recommendations from external consultants/contractors, and advise/ liaise with Property Manager on best value • Ensure ways of working, processes, policies and procedures are understood and followed • Review & monitor external reports such as lifts, Legionella, Asbestos and plant room inspections and liaise with Property manager on recommendations and appropriate actions • To provide cover and advice for Facilities Assistants/maintenance staff when and if required • On a rota basis you may be required to be the Property contact for a given period as agreed by line manager • Any administration duties as required by your Line Manager • Any other reasonable duties as required by your line manager.
