Shift Pattern: Part time role covering gaps within the rota which may mean one week working 10.5 hours, and the following week working 21 hours. We're hiring a Forensic Mental Health Recovery Worker to join our team based in Lewisham. New Hope is a 24 hour supported accommodation service for adult males with diagnosis of mental health and convictions. As a Forensic Mental Health Recovery Worker you will identify individual resident needs, and provide person centred, tailored support to residents to help them overcome their personal challenges and achieve their goals. We support our residents in developing coping strategies and building supportive relationships, with a commitment to professionalism, teamwork, and customer service.
You will support with tenancy matters proactively, providing responsive support and fostering a positive environment where residents feel secure and valued. You will do this through a combination of producing tailored support plans, activities, and partnership working. The Ramblers are looking for a proactive Programme Lead to help us open and protect paths, so more people can enjoy the benefits of walking outdoors.
This role will lead our Path Protection work, to help people understand their rights, take local action to protect paths and improve the places where they live. A key part of the role is working with and supporting a network of knowledgeable volunteers across Great Britain, to take practical action in their communities.
You’ll focus on creating programmes that make it easier for more people – especially those with the most barriers and least access – to get involved, speak up for their local paths, and take action that leads to real improvements.
We’re particularly interested in candidates with experience in public rights of way, outdoor access, planning, environmental protection or a related field – and who can turn that knowledge into practical, community-led action.
Context and purpose of role
At Ramblers we work to empower the public and volunteers to take action to protect paths and access – whether claiming lost rights of way, pursuing resolutions to path problems, or objecting to changes to the definitive map. As a member of the Programmes team, the Programme Lead (Path Protection) will be responsible for the successful development and delivery of the programme across GB.
Key responsibilities
· Lead on the design, development and operational delivery of the Path Protection programme across GB.
· Create operational delivery plans – to identify milestones, monitor risks, resolve issues and manage resource requirements.
· Design and develop resources and processes to support programme implementation.
· Be responsible for managing a budget in line with programme goals and objectives.
· Be responsible for evaluation and reporting, to ensure the programme meets KPIs and delivers measurable impact.
· Manage new and existing strategic partnerships with partner organisations and those working to improve access and reduce barriers to becoming active outdoors.
· Train and support volunteers – and promote the programme more widely.
· Provide advice and guidance to the public on path protection issues.
· Engage diverse audiences from communities facing additional barriers to getting outdoors, to senior stakeholders including funders and other strategic external partners.
· Directly deliver Path Protection events to support the continued development and co-production of the programme.

The Advocacy Academy is an activist youth movement. We serve as the political home for grassroots youth organising and the catalyst for collective action. The lives of the young people we work alongside have been directly shaped by living in an unjust world, and we exist to turn their anger into action.
Young people are often the catalysts for major social change, from the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee at the heart of the Civil Rights Movement, to the Soweto Uprising mobilising young people to resist the apartheid regime's education policies, to the Sunrise Movement redrawing the electoral map across America, and more recently encampments and protests across the world protesting the genocide in Palestine. How successfully they achieve real and lasting change depends on whether they are organised and whether they have the right strategy and tactics to be effective.
This is why we are looking for a Community Organiser who is capable of supporting in building the leadership in young people that enables them to turn the resources they have into the power they need to make the change they want.

About Depaul UK
In the 1980s, high unemployment and steep inflation was contributing to a shocking rise in youth homelessness across London. Thousands of young people were sleeping rough every night, with many areas notoriously dubbed “cardboard cities” due to the visible rise in street homelessness. Appalled by the scenes playing out across the capital, a group of people came together to tackle the challenge head on. Led by Cardinal Basil Hume and Mark McGreevy OBE, in 1989 Depaul UK was born.
What began as a single housing project in North London soon expanded across London, Greater Manchester and the North East of England. Today, Depaul UK provides accommodation, prevention and support services to thousands of marginalised young people across the UK each year.
As our name suggests, the work of Depaul UK has been inspired by St. Vincent de Paul – a man who devoted his life to helping vast numbers of people throughout the 17th century. St. Vincent de Paul’s belief in the intrinsic worth of all people and his commitment to taking bold action remain central to our values today. We are looking for a creative and passionate person to be responsibile for securing financial support to sustain and grow the Charity's work. A priority is to lead a £3M campaign for a new building.
Background
The history of our Charity stretches back over 230 years to the foundation of a school for the blind by Edward Rushton. Since 1898 the school has been based in Wavertree and in 2016 Rushton Futures opened alongside the school, providing a service for young adults aged 19+ with complex needs.
About the Rushton Centre Project
The Development Manager's primary work in the initial phase of the role will be to direct a fundraising campaign for the new Rushton Centre. The Centre is being designed to meet the changing needs of the Charity. As well as a hydrotherapy pool, we want to open a cafe which will give young people with additional needs opportunity for work, and we want to create additional spaces. The Centre will cost an estimated £4M. The Trustees are in a position to contribute £1M from reserves, but the Development Manager will play a crucial role in designing and implementing a fundraising strategy for the remaining funds.
Key Tasks
1. Develop and implement fundraising strategies and campaigns to meet organisational goals and ensure financial sustainability.
2. Identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors, sponsors, and foundations, including individuals, corporations, and community organisations.
3. Research and pursue grants and trusts applications, managing the process from start to finish.
4. Coordinate and oversee current charitable donations and legacies.
5. Work with colleagues at the Charity to identify funding priorities; liaise with key post-holders, including the Finance Manager, to meet audit and compliance requirements.
6. Organize fundraising events and initiatives, such as galas, charity drives, and online campaigns, to generate donations and increase public awareness.
7. Manage donor databases and maintain accurate records of contributions, sponsorships, and communications.
8. Take a supporter-centred approach in all your work, building strong, respectful relationships with donors.
9. Communicate the organization’s mission and impact to donors, stakeholders, and the public through presentations, newsletters, and promotional materials.
10. Be responsible for managing and promoting our fundraising profile through social media and other online presence.
11. Monitor and evaluate fundraising campaigns to assess effectiveness and inform future strategies.
