ROLDA UK is a registerd charity that rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes stray dogs and cats in both Romania and the Ukraine.

As a Champion for ROLDA, you will play a crucial role in driving our online and in-person fundraising efforts. This position is ideal for a passionate individual dedicated to animal welfare who wants to help make a tangible difference towards our rescue efforts. In tandem with the ROLDA team, you will lead initiatives, develop strategies, and inspire supporters to contribute to ROLDA’s mission, amplifying our impact.

Key Responsibilities:
● Fundraising Strategy Development: Collaborate with ROLDA’s leadership to create and implement innovative online         and in-person fundraising campaigns.
● Campaign Management: Coordinate and execute engaging, high-impact fundraising campaigns, such as peer-to-peer       fundraisers, social media drives, and seasonal events.
● Event Leadership: Organise and attend fundraising events, representing ROLDA in the community. Recruit and manage     a team of event volunteers when necessary.
● Donor Engagement: Foster relationships with existing and potential donors, recognise and thank contributors, and               cultivate new support channels.
● Social Media Outreach: Collaborate with the social media team to create content that promotes fundraising efforts and       highlights donor stories and campaign updates.
● Reporting and Goal Setting: Set and track fundraising goals, prepare reports to measure progress, and share                     outcomes with the team to enhance future initiatives.

Requirements:
● Previous experience in fundraising, sales, marketing, or community engagement (experience in nonprofit organisations is a plus)
● Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to connect with a diverse audience
● Self-motivated and able to work independently, managing multiple projects and deadlines
● Availability to attend periodic in-person events
● Passionate about animal welfare and committed to ROLDA’s mission
● Ability to pass a background check

Time Commitment:
● Flexible hours, with a minimum commitment of 5 hours per week

Action for Refugees in Lewisham works to relieve poverty and isolation amongst refugees, asylum seekers and other vulnerable migrants in Lewisham. At the Rainbow Club supplementary school we aim to help children between the ages of 4 and 11 to improve their literacy, numeracy and social skills in a friendly and supportive environment.  We need your skills and enthusiasm to assist the teacher in the delivery of a literacy and numeracy class and work with other volunteers to develop a programme of recreational activities. The Rainbow Club runs on Saturday mornings during term-time.

Your duties will include:

• Arriving punctually for the 9am briefing by the Rainbow Club Headteacher;
• Working in a team with other volunteers and teachers to deliver literacy, numeracy, arts, sport activities – this includes ensuring children remain engaged throughout the lesson and carry out set tasks as instructed by the teacher;
• Working one-to-one with specific children if and when required;
• Filing classroom work and homework in children’s individual files and keeping all materials and resources tidy and properly stored;
• Liaising with parents as and when required for example distributing leaflets and news about future meetings and events and also assisting with parents' day;
• Following the teacher’s policies on discipline and classroom management;
• Supervising the children during break times;
• Supporting the children during class trips;
• Ensuring classrooms are clean and tidy at the end of each day – this may include being part of a regular team rota;
• Providing feedback and comments to the Rainbow Club Headteacher when required.

Purpose of Role

The Communications Officer will play a key role in ensuring effective internal and external communication across Emerge Worldwide. Role Overview
This is a pivotal volunteer-to-permanent role ideal for someone who is highly experienced in grant writing or fundraising strategy and wants to be part of a revolutionary, culturally rooted mission. You will be responsible for building and implementing a sustainable grants funding strategy to ensure the organisation’s monthly operational costs are continuously covered through grants—from core costs to project funding.

This is not a short-term or one-off bid-writing role. We’re looking for someone who sees themselves as part of our long-term journey. Once funding is secured, this role will transition into a paid, full-time strategic position with competitive salary and creative freedom.

Key Responsibilities

Grant Strategy & Pipeline Development

• Design and implement a rolling grants calendar (monthly/quarterly cycles) to maintain consistent income.

• Research suitable grant opportunities from trusts, foundations, government funds, corporate social responsibility programs, and philanthropic funds.

• Write compelling grant applications that reflect the lived experiences, voice, and mission of the CIC.

• Maintain a master funding tracker including deadlines, submission statuses, and post-award reporting requirements.

Sustainable Income Planning

• Secure multi-year and unrestricted core funding for staff salaries, podcast production, outreach, and operational costs.

• Build a diversified portfolio of income sources to avoid reliance on a single stream.

• Contribute to the CIC’s 12-month and 3-year funding roadmap.

Relationship Management & Reporting

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with funders and stakeholders.

• Draft reports, budgets, and evaluation summaries for successful bids.

• Help develop case studies, impact statements, and community data that support future applications.

Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with the Founder and Outreach & Partnerships Specialist to ensure funding goals align with service delivery.

• You are an experienced grant writer or fundraiser with a strong track record of securing five- and six-figure funds from UK-based funders.

• You have a deep understanding of core vs project funding, unrestricted income, and funder priorities in the UK voluntary/charity/CIC space.

• You are familiar with funders such as: National Lottery, Arts Council England, Paul Hamlyn Foundation, Esmée Fairbairn, Tudor Trust, City Bridge Trust, etc.

• You are passionate about racial justice, trauma recovery, and systemic change—and can translate this into compelling narratives.

• You are a self-starter, capable of managing your time, working independently, and contributing to team-wide strategies.

• You are committed to seeing this project through and desire a long-term, principal role in the organisation.

Volunteer Cat Fosterers Needed 

Do you have a safe, calm, and caring home where a cat in need could stay while we help them find their fur-ever home? The RSPCA is looking for new volunteer fosterers to join our team and provide temporary care for cats — from strays and abandoned pets to even feral cats who need patient, understanding fosterers. 

What you’ll be doing: 

• Offering cats a safe, warm, and loving temporary home. 

• Helping cats build confidence, whether they are friendly pets or more nervous ferals. 

• Attending vet appointments when required. 

• Working with us to give updates on your foster cat’s progress. 

What we’re looking for: 

• Volunteers aged 18 or over who are confident and comfortable around cats — including strays and ferals. 

• No previous fostering experience needed — just patience, commitment, and a genuine love of cats. 

• Applicants must be available to foster for the RSPCA and not currently volunteering with other animal charities. 

• You don’t need to live alone, but all family members (and pets) must be cat friendly. 

• Located in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, and surrounding areas.

Practical Considerations:

  Our voluntary roles are subject to: 

• An informal interview and trial period. 

• Two referees – which may be sourced from an educational institution or as personal references 

• Completion of relevant training and assessments. 

This position is open to anyone with a keen interest in Friends of the Earth and our local campaigns in the borough of Camden. We are looking for people interested in environmental and sustainability issues and environmental justice in the Camden community who enjoy organising and running campaigns. We’re open to new ideas for campaigns so you’re free to be as creative as you’d like!

Duties:

The campaign coordinators will help with:

• Researching potential campaign ideas

• Organising & running campaigns

• Collaborating with event coordinators and social media managers to plan and advertise ongoing campaigns

• Stay up-to-date with ongoing Friends Of The Earth campaigns

• Experience with organising and running campaigns

• Passion for the campaigning group’s mission and a commitment to communicating the impact of the charity's work 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
